The hotel was clean and staff was friendly and fast to get things to the room. We did not like that we had to go to the 2nd level to use our laptop nor the fact that we could not use the pool or weight room. I found the room clean,We had to use the Internet down stairs. I felt if we are spending a large amount of money you should have it in the room(Wireless). The weight room and the pool closed early and you could not use it after 9 pm. The bar/dinner was closed at 7 pm. So if you came in late as we did (8pm) all you could do is sit in your room.

I traveled on business to New Orleans. I found the hotel to be clean, the staff friendly and location strategic for walking to both the convention center and the French Quarter. I didn't use any special hotel services other than luggage hold, which was friendly and quick. There is a fitness center w/ treadmills/ellipticals and some weight equipment; the room was clean and stocked w/towels.

Great location. It's an easy, fun walk to the French Quarter, and it's right in front of the streetcar that takes you to the Garden District. The hotel is very handsome and quiet. The staff that spoke English was very helpful, but we found that the cleaning staff often forgot to leave the basics, i.e., coffee, washcloths. I thought the bed was old and uncomfortable, but my sister seemed to have a better one. Overall, it's a very nice place for the cheap online travel website price.

The hotel was top notch and the waitstaff in the restaurant was courteous and attentive. The rooms were spotless and had one of the more comfortable beds I've slept on in a long time. There was a slight delay checking in, but with all the folks coming into New Orleans during this weekend, it was not a major issue.

Clean, professional staff, central location, safe. One staff member refused to assist in confirming plane reservations. Nice clean place where we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. They charge for use of the computer in the lobby.

Hotel common areas and rooms look nice. Beds are super-comfy. Concierge staff is fantastic - nice and extremely knowledgeable. Location is good - 2-3 short blocks from French Quarter, easy walk to Warehouse/Arts district & riverfront. Room service was good, when we needed a small room repair, they were quick & efficient. Pool is surprisingly okay for a rooftop pool. However, for this level of hotel, at this price, I do think they should have done a better job of anticipating our needs. We booked a room for 4 people, but it was only set up for two, so we had to ask for additional towels, etc. OK. But then we also had to ask for basics like shampoo. And there is almost NO drawer space in the room - we ended up storing things in the TV armoire after emptying it of the ice bucket etc. None of this was a fatal flaw, just small things that I wish would have been better for this level of hotel. I felt comfortable enough, but not pampered.

Booked through Orbitz, but every time I asked about something, was told in a not so pleasant way that since I booked through Obitz, I didn't or couldn't have that (i.e - when I was checking out, I requested a receipt that showed I had no charges to the room, but was told that since I booked through Orbitz, my only receipt would come from them - what gives?) Also I booked Club Intercontinental, it was no different from any other room, except it was under the fitness center, so I awoke every morning to the sounds of weights being dropped above my head.

The open spaces, high ceilings, decor and the concierge was wonderful. This hotel was beautiful and comfortable and the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.

Our 3 night stay at the New Orleans Hotel Intercontinental was great. From the valets out front to the desk crew to the maids to the restaurant staff, everyone made you feel welcome and ready for a return trip as soon as possible. The concierge's (X and X) were pure professionals in every sense of the word. The hotel's restaurants were very good. Breakfast in the hotel's Veranda was well worth it. Go to Cafe Du Monde (off Jackson Square) for the cafe au lait and beignets, but the Veranda's French Toast and the Eggs Benedict were superb as well.

Close to the Street car Line. Inattentive staff, poor response to issues, costly parking, lack of knowledge by staff about any question asked. This hotel had every opportunity to be a quality operation. The staff was unable to answer questions about things to do in the area. Not one staff member offered assistance without being asked. The lack of a caring staff makes this hotel about a 2 star not a 4 star. If I were given a choice of hotels I would have been much happier with Priceline.

We can honestly say that the Hotel Intercontinental was deserving of it's 4 stars. I have worked in some very fine hotels so I can say with out a doubt they have the finest staff in all of New Orleans. Professional yet warm. Everyone was quick to help, suggest and direct. By the time we left we felt like family!

Location and they have a swim miming pool with room service. The beds were worn out and lumpy. We stayed for an anniversary with our kids. The hotel is nice and clean. The location is walking distance to just about everything, plus the street car stops in front of the hotel. The towels are very nice. The bath and vanity area are separate and very large. We didn't have a view from our room just the parking garage next door. Our biggest complaint was that the beds were worn out and lumpy. Also the air conditioner only froze the room. The staff fixed a lamp that had a switch missing, However they did not fix the leaking faucet Overall the good out weighed the bad and we had a good time.

I was very pleased with my stay at InterContinental. The service was excellent, the room was very nice and clean. The only exception to the clean room is the carpeting. The carpeting was dirty with heavy traffic tracks. All else, the duvet, sheets, towels etc.. was very clean. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating to any request. The fitness facility is ideal for any level of workout, from treadmills, cycles to heavy lifting weights. The location is perfect in NOLA. A short walk to the French Quarter, Harrah's Casino and the Riverwalk. No car is needed. The best travel from the airport is the airport shuttle for $15/person. The other change I would make is the access to the internet. Considering the rate of the hotel; free internet access from your room would be ideal. The only free internet access is in the lobby area. My stay was March 2009. Overall, I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel is conference oriented. Nice clean rooms. Very friendly people at the front desk, was able to get early check in and late check out free of charge. A very quiet location. Ten minutes walk to French Quarter. I paid $64 per night including taxes. I found a deal through Orbitz.com. Across the street from hotel is a very nice restaurant LUKE. Food is delicious. Go to Mother's for lunch or breakfast&& interesting experience. Jazz brunch at Commander's Palace is nice.
