Staff appeared in a state of confusion, almost like it was their first day on the job. Bellmen were scarce, rarely at their desk.

The Intercontinental Hotel was not satisfactory to my needs. Since my trip was a very short one I was expecting faster service especially when checking in and out. The check out took about 20 minutes. My room was not vacumed each day! I will not be using the Intercontinental in Montreal again.

Renovations in the hotel. Great location, friendly staff and newly renovated rooms, the down side was - still some renovation work on site that cause some inconvenience.

Great Hotel with clean and stylish rooms. Great location and access. View from my window was awful, but probably due to the package deal I purchased. Breakfast buffet included in my package and was a definite benefit and perk. Food was great and exercise facility good for a hotel. I would definitely stay again on my next trip."

The Intercontinental is an easy walk to the Basilica, Old Montreal and all of the neat shops and restaurants. We had a king room on the 23rd floor. The bed was VERY comfortable with great linens and lots of pillows. The bathroom was large with two sinks and done in lovely green marble. We had a magnificent view of the port. We were so pleased with the service from the hotel staff...from the concierge to the bar tender...everyone was kind and professional. We ordered room service twice for dinner which was nothing short of superb. The food and cocktails at the hotel were the best we had in Montreal...and we know our cuisine! Highly recommended....we'll definately be back.

Poor front desk performance for a hotel of this size. Room was small but nice. Bath was well outfitted but had a cracked sink and lots of mold (black grout and caulk) in the shower. Not impressed.

This hotel would be great for family or business. It had all the amenietes for both. When I travel on business I will combine a family trip with it.

Great renovated rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Parking is a bit of a walk from your car.

We prepaid for our room, but an employee at reception refused to honor that reservation, giving us (mom and daughter) a room with 1 king. I doubt there were really no double-bed rooms left in a 26-floor hotel, especially when there was so little traffic in the lobby. Overall, the staff was entirely rude and condescending to us, even refusing to acknowledge my request for a rollaway. Two hours later, we checked out and drove to Vermont for the night. We lost the prepaid money, but at least we weren't treated like second-class citizens there.

Helpful courteous staff, wonderful location. No CD/DVD player, rooms are dark. As the hotel is under construction it was a bit difficult to get a sense of what a first impression might have been. The staff was not only extremely courteous but also very helpful in terms of recommending local restaurants. Checking on ticket availability for entertainment. In terms of amenities I would not consider this a deluxe hotel. Upscale definitely I would come back.

Very nice hotel and stay for our first visit to Montreal.. When arrived at 3 pm our room wasn't ready. The hotel gave us drink vouchers at the bar across from front desk, so no big deal. Our room wasn't ready until about 5:30 pm (not so good), but they gave us a serious upgrde to a corner room. Since the visit was a celebration of my wife's 50th birthday, they also sent up a delightful cocolate dessert.We'll stay there again.

The Intercontinental stayed true to its name. The hotel was very clean, ideally located near several restaurants and a walk away from historic Old Montreal. The Metro entrance is also right underneath the hotel and across it. The bathroom was clean and spacious and the speakers above the commode is an interesting plus. The huge windows with a great view of the fountain across the street was a nice touch.

"We spent 3 nights at the Intercontinental in July, 2006. Everyone was pretty helpful. The location was good, since we could walk to Old Town or downtown. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in! The rooms were spacious and had nice bathrooms. The prices in the bar and restaurant were high even by Montreal's standard. Overall, it was a nice experience."

The room decor was very nice. The wireless service was spotty and logged in bar was annoying. Nice location, and very nice newly remodeled rooms.
