Great service. Room views. Very helpful with transportation needs.

My wife and I recently stayed here because she had a professional exam nearby. We specifically asked about noise issues and were assured that the rooms were soundproofed. Starting at 6 a.m. the planes flew over the hotel every few minutes and they were loud. The windows might be double paned, but they do not appear to be laminated sound proofed. Besides the noise, the suite was very nice and the front desk provided exceptional service. This is a new hotel and there are some areas that were poorly planned...drive very carefully in the garage. With Intercontinental I would suggest joining the Ambassador program and receiving the benefits which far outway the membership cost.

The hotel is great! It is new. An excellent choice. Expensive parking. You can't go wrong with the Intercontinental at O'Hare. It is quite simply the best. The rooms are modern, the beds are very comfortable and the hotel looks new. An excellent choice!

Friendly staff. Very happy with the hotel and it's staff.

Nice decor. I was disappointed that there was no pool or bathtub. The hotel was beautiful and modern. However, I was disappointed when I found that the hotel had no pool. I was also looking forward to having a long bath when I got to the hotel, but my room only had a shower.

The artwork; staff knowledge and friendliness. The $22/day parking fee. Acquired this hotel and was pleased. When my 14year old and I arrived, we immediately noticed the artwork and the streamline of the property. Checked us in and our room was fabulous. Each bed and pillow was fluffed; light fixtures and bathroom were clean, dust free and overall inviting. Every time my daughter and I strolled through the lobby out to shop/eat or in from the Aquarium, Field Museum, etc. We were greeted by name and with a smile.

The room was very well decorated and modern.

The staff was welcoming and the facility was excellent. Parking is very expensive, some problems with the mini fridge charges. Comfortable elegance.

Cordial service. Facial mirror in bathroom did not have good lighting.

Courteous, well-trained staff and top shelf rooms. No free WiFi. Feels as fresh and brand new as it is. Clean and stylish without losing focus on function. Strongly recommend for business travelers or anyone who wants to stay close to the airport.

Original art, modern furnishings Given comparable hotels prices for meals, room service, gift shop coffee, are prohibitive in the current economy.
Date of Stay:

Comfort of the bed. Shower only, no bathtub. Parking was not explained to me at check-in. I had to pay to park upon exiting. Then had to inquire at the front desk afterwards.

The decor was different and modern. The desk was too small. There was no bath tub in the room. For a traveler looking for something different, this is certainly the hotel for you. I have rarely been in a hotel that had a more modern decor. The staff was quite friendly, though I did wait almost 5 minutes before someone showed up at the front desk (there was no one there). The room was comfortable and beautiful. The bathroom was nice, though I generally prefer a tub/shower instead of just a shower (nice as it was). The desk was too small for my use. For a vacationer, it would likely be a perfect room. Without a tub, I'm not sure how helpful it is to families with smaller children. For business people needing desk space, a regular room might be problematic.

Ultra modern and extremely friendly staff. I felt out of the place having our 14 year old with us, not a family hotel. More for professionals and couples. I would highly recommend to business travelers or to couples traveling without children. Everything was high class and very clean. Every staff member was more than extremely friendly and friendly. On the other hand, my husband felt he was looked down upon whenever he left the room.

Staff was very pleasant. Rooms were somewhat sterile. The location is great with complementary shuttle service to trainseit and airport. The accommodations are spacious and clean. It was a bit too modern for my tastes, as the rooms lacked a sense of warmth. Warmer colors on the walls and some artwork would greatly improve the space.

Modern decor. This hotel far exceeded my needs.

Flat screen TV. Staff was rude and food was terrible. Not worth the money, a glorified budget hotel with poor lighting.

Artwork. Analog TV, no on site dining, parking . We checked in on a Saturday for a one night stay. The hotel is easy to get to; self parking is $22 a day in the attached ramp. We were given a king room and of course everything was new and styled much like what a hotel would look like if Ikea ran a hotel. The small bar by the lobby was fine and the bartenders were great. The big showcase of the hotel is the areas first luxury hotel with its very own art gallery featuring a full-time curator and monthly art exhibitions. The works of Chicago's most intriguing artists are displayed throughout the hotel. Across from the fire lane, there is a McCormick & Schmick's seafood restaurant. Nothing spectacular, but very good for Midwest seafood and service.
