Perfect peaceful location, professional helpful and friendly staff , five star hotel, comfortable clean rooms, not to be missed amenities is just what made my vacation . This is one of my best vacation so far. I like the location best because it's not located next to hotels that can crowd the streets. It is next to the zoo, the tiergarten, kadewe, kudam and just close to all major tourist attractions. Transportation is few minutes walk from hotel - the S Bahn, U Bahn, buses stop in front of hotel from airport, taxis available outside hotel , you can connect to ICE train just a few stops from S Bahn near hotel. After a full day of sightseeing or a night of partying you can come back relax and sleep in peace to this well appointed hotel.

This Hotel impressed me, I was in Berlin some yeears ago and was disapointed by the Intercontinental, but now... They made one part new and it looks gorgeus. If you come to Berlin and to this Hotel, take time to use the Spa area.

Staff was attentive; rooms were modern & cool. Services cost more: spa, parking, internet, etc. The world-class architecture of IC Berlin inside & out made this an interesting place to stay & easy to find when returning from being out & about. Although it is in a fine location, next to the Tiergarten & the shopping of Charlotte burg, it is a hike to get to other parts of town so be prepared or move to public transport: more neck in this than most other German cities. Staff was courteous, gracious & friendly but prepared to pay for any & every additional thing you want/need/do. Unlike a Holiday Inn Express parking, internet & pool access are not free even though you are paying top dollar!

If you want nice location, quality service, and great amenities then this hotel is for you. After your sightseeing and activities during the day you would want to come back to a nice relaxing hotel in a quiet street close to everything. Staff were all professional, nice and helpful. The amenities and hotel itself is adequate not over the top. You get good value of what you're paying for. A 10 .

Modern sleek design. Concierge and staff indifferent and disinterested in it's guests beyond checking them in and out. The Sofitel is completely average: modern cookie-cutter design and small basic room. The staff (reluctantly) does the bare minimum for its guests. I went across to the Intercontinental and was given more assistant there, as a non-guest, than at my own hotel.

I had very high expectations for this hotel. Me and my wife came here and while we were eating a cockroach came out of my lobster. When I asked a maid for a pillow she slapped me and said get your owm. The bathroom had rats and spiders every where. Please do not ever go to this hotel.

The bathrooms were very nice and the bed was comfortable. Carpet in the room needs replacing. TV was small and badly situated. Should have wireless in the room and cheaper Internet. The room was very comfortable but small, though I thought the carpet looked dirty. The hotel lobby is great and the breakfast is excellent. The staff are very helpful and courteous. I felt robbed with the price of internet per day. It should be complimentary or nominal in a 5 star hotel.

Great floral arrangements. The concierge staff. Well situated with regards to public transport, restaurants and some attractions. Rooms a little on the small size but very attractive. Lobby area expansive with beautiful floral arrangements and decorations.

Extremely helpful staff went out of their way to locate our bags lost in London air transit. On a quiet street, it is a short cab ride to the cool bars, restaurants, clubs. My wife and I stayed here August 15th-17th, 2006, the week after the foiled London terrorists who were to bomb US-bound flights using liquid explosives. In air transit we had lost our luggage due to all the confusion at Heathrow, and the staff at the Intercontinental Berlin, especially Yvonne at the Hotel Registration Desk, went way out of their way to help contact the airline and get our bags delivered to our room. We were in Germany to attend a wedding, and we would have been in great trouble without our bags w/ our wedding clothes. They even allowed us to use their business center for free. Tom, one of the concierges, was also very helpful in assisting us in exploring the big multicultural city of Berlin with all its historical significance. We'd stay here again if we went to Berlin again.

Updated bathrooms, clean, luxurious. Breakfast buffet was too lavish and too expensive. Located in an interesting area of Berlin, very convenient to public transportation. Hotel is clean, upscale, a pleasant place to stay.

Very nice. Small rooms. From the intercontinental, you have to walk a bit to get to the sites, showing, and subway (a good 10 minute walk). But if you can handle that, it is a great hotel.
