My husband and I stayed at this hotel to celebrate our 25 Wedding Anniversary! The grounds of the hotel were beautiful! The hotel was Wonderful and the staff was very professional and friendly. We restrurants were Fantastic! We stayed in the Club Tower. Our room was beautifully decorated and the feather bed was the most comfrtable bed that we have ever slept in while on a trip! We ate in several of the hotel resturants as well as in the Club Lounge for a Contintental Buffet Breakfast, Cocktail Hour and Dinner Snacks. All of the food they served included Local Dishes. Our Server that we had the pleasure of talking to every night was [...]. He was very nice and treated us Wonderful. He made our visit and Anniversary very Special. The hotel Concerge that helped us out with getting a Taxi and other questions was , [...]. He was very, very professional as well and always a pleasure to work with. While in Costa Rica we went on a couple of Day Trips, one to the Britt Coffee Plantation, the other Dat Trip was to the Butterfly Farm. Both of the trips were very informative and enjoyable. We would encourage you to include these on your next visit to San Jose. We will always come back to this hotel when we visit San Jose in the future. If you want to be pampered and rest, in have fond memories of your trip this is the place to stay!

I was amazed last week during the inauguration of the new Club Tower at the InterContinental Costa Rica. The rooms are beautiful and luxurious and the spa is just wonderful. The new gym is unique. You will not find something similar in Costa Rica. I am looking forward for my next trip to stay in one of the new rooms. Congratulations!!!

I was very happily surprised by service: at frontdesk, at restaurants, event organization overall... everyone willing to help, and very friendly. A couple of highlights: the sushi restaurant is very good quality and reasonable prices...the beds are very comfortable...The hotel is also strategically located close to all hotspots in town, the Escazu and Santa Ana areas...I highly recommend it!

The food and atmosphere was 4 or 5 stars. From the thieves that cleaned my room to people at the counter were bad. I had multiple bad service experience at the hotel. I would not recommend this place to my worsted enemy. That's unfortunate because the hotel was beautiful. You have nothing without service.

This is a great hotel with a beautiful lobby, very comfortable guest rooms and a good selection of restaurants. The staff was very quick to respond. My only complaint is that it could be anywhere in the world; it doesn't have any local Costa Rican flavor.

I had stayed at the Intercontinental hotel two years ago and it is centrally situated and whatever assistance I requested it was always immediately provided. Thus I decided to go back this year but for the first time in my over 25 years of traveling I missed my flight. I was very dissapointed but I will try again next year to go back. The hotel is extremely clean, The area is very safe and as a matter of fact I am sending my parents to stay over this year.
