For business trip I stayed here for about 3 weeks. I loved their service and location! The beds, yes, were a bit hard, but other than that, I loved my stay here at the hotel. For as long as I was there I was very comfortable.

First I would like to say that I have been to that Hotel and I loved it which is why I wanted to stay there again. Unfortunately the hotel was under construction and I was not informed about this. When I first arrived I noticed the main entrance was under construction their were plastic covers all around. The escalators were not working so u had to take a detour just to get to the main lobby. When I finally got to the lobby I noticed the bar was closed and their was no entertaiment due to construction. My plans were to stay at the Hotel while I conducted my business but because of the circumstances I had to change my meeting plans elsewhere. The pool was also closed which was very frustrating because I was forced to stay in my room. My trip was ruined because of this the reason why I picked this Hotel was because of all the ameneties that were not available that weekend. I see the commercials on T.V. where this happens to people and I never thought it could actually happen to me but I was wrong.

There is a massive renovation going on, hence the low price. An older hotel from the early 80's in the process of renovation from the entrance to the rooms. Should be OK when done.

I stayed at this hotel for 8 days and I ended up changing rooms twice. I am very disapointed since the structure is beautiful and high class but, when you're in is TOTALLY different. Bathrooms are SO old, NO maintenance, holes on the bathroom tub, door handles loose. The personnel never smiled. I did like a bell boy who was very pleasant and helpful with ideas to do in the city. He work the 11pm shift. He's the ONLY one who gets + reviews. Wrote an email to management and ONLY got ""sorry for inconvinience"".

AWESOME, Beautiful hotel! A little far from downtown, this is very business like. The front staff needed to be friendlier, they were too professional and uptight, we felt like they were looking down on us because we wore very casual clothes and not suites like everybody else in the hotel. And, what I really disliked was being approached every morning to discuss not time sharing but something similar. There was an awesome mall type shopping accross the street, very convenient.

The Presidente Intercontinental Hotel in Guadalajara is located in a prosperous area of the city, just blocks away from the Expo Guadalajara Convention Center and only 10 minutes from the downtown by car or taxi. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the concierge service is excellent. The outdoor pool area is pleasant, if a little wanting for decoration. The hotel lobby has an active, buzzing vibe because of its proximity to the convention center. It's also just across the street from the (aging) Plaza del Sol Shopping Center. We'll be staying here for our next weekend getaway.

Clean, friendly hotel in a good, convenient location. Presidente InterContinental is a clean, friendly hotel. I had a standard room. I enjoyed my stay there and I would stay there again. But I do have some complaints. The walls were very thin and I could hear noise from the next room as sometimes they were a little loud. I feel the fees for using the phone are excessive for local calls. My greatest complaint is at checkout the clerk showed me an itemized list of charges for taxes, phone calls, and other fees. I knew that the only charges I owed were for phone usage. When I questioned the clerk about it he said they were for currency changes and taxes. I told him that I had paid in dollars and the currency had changed in the hotel's favor. I requested to speak with a manager and the manager said that he could show me a list with just the phone charges on it. I said okay. He created a list and then said you only have to pay this much, which was the amount I owed for phone calls. That was fine. Some on here have complained that the beds are too hard but I prefer a bed slightly on the hard side and my bed was perfect. The dollar-peso exchange rate at the hotel was usually good.

Just got back from Guadalajara on a business trip. After 2 nights, switched to a different hotel. Sound of elevator dinging right outside my door was a bit much to handle. Also, these are the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on. I work in Mexico a lot, and realize a lot of the beds are naturally hard, but these were over the top hard, and the pillows were like sleeping on pancakes.

Nice hotel but the maintenance needs help. The staff tries hard but lacks proper management. The rooms are nice, but not very comfortable. The service is good, but could be even better with some better supervision.

Location, attractive facade. Room did not live up to hotel appearance.

The hotel lobby & restaurants (1) were the only impressive amenities. The room had old showers, flooring, beds, blinds and the shower had an unpleasant smell. The Fitness room had no air conditioning with old work out machines that most of them were inoperable, the hotel staff does not tell you that there is a usage fee to work out. The Italian restaurant in the hotel has bad service (had to wait too long for everything, to be seated, served etc. and dissatisfing food like the pasta that had no flavor.

It was close to everything, like the Plaza Del Sol, very nice area. Staff was nice. The hotel was good.

the hotel itself was very nice lobby, amenities, but once we got to the room there was a dirty bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned, sheets looked like they were never changed, spit was on the walls. We informed front desk about it they were pleasant sent someone right away but did not do a thorogh job. The next day the same thing. Plus they wanted to charge me for having coffee in my room. I didnt even drink coffee and they said it was a STANDARD CHARGE! Would definetly think twice on even considering it!

The room was comfortable, the place was clean. It is complicated to get around with a child on a stroller. The maintenance in the rooms were very good, wide spaces, and very kind treatment.

Nice lobby. Fail to make the customer happy. I stayed there for a week. They turned off the electricity one day and failed to warn us they were going to turn it off for 9 hours. They could of told us the day before becasue it was scheduled maintanance and when you complained they were just like its off and its not coming on until 6pm and failed to offer anything for it.

Friendly staff. Dated appearance. The hotel didn't seem to be a 4 star hotel.

Friendly people. 5 USD per day for parking and 12 USD per day for internet access and 5 USD per day for Gym access. Great hotel, friendly people and good for business.

Location. The beds were too firm. Old hotel dated decor and design. It wasn't what I expected from an Intercontinental hotel.
