Le Grand Hotel proved to be everything I thought it would be. The property was absolutely beautiful! The rooms were fantastic, which included the overall appearance and comfort. Would definitely recommend this hotel. It is centrally located with access to the Metro and other transportation. There were many good restaurants and shopping within walking distance.

The greenhouse are of the lobby, lovely flower arrangements very fresh, good tea and coffee service, bar was cozy. Head Concierge purposefully sent us on a "wild goose chase giving an incorrect, but similar address to where we were really intended, cost $50 extra. I am sure the Saudi princes staying there were treated well, but we definitely detected a different level of treatment for us. Despite doorknob sign saying do not disturb, cleaning staff barged into our rooms and were angry with my 12 year old about needing to clean the room soon, even after they had awakened her from jet lag sleep. Honestly for $600 retail and $343 wholesale the room was small. it was quiet. and the bathroom was recently redone. The floor maid "escorted us down the hallway " each time we came and went, for unknown reasons, I suspect they were concerned about the mountains of luggage, with Saudi addresses which remained piled along the hallway outside the "princesses" rooms for three days.

We stayed in a de luxe room facing the opera - it was perfect nothing to complain about, and with cafe le paix situated in the same building - you also have a great restaturant/cafe

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Intercontinental Le Grand on Nov 1-5, 2007. The location of teh hotel was great as you can walk to just about everything and if you prefer you can take the metro which is not even a block away. The standard room was nicely appointed with a nice bathroom. Everything about the hotel was classy from the front desk ot the concierge. Infact the concierge alone was probably worth the price of the room. We spoke no french and got along just fine. Wonderful restaurants in walking distance. we didn't dine at the hotel because it was very expensive. Can't say nice enough things about this place. I would definitely stay here again.

One of the most Beautiful 5 star hotels ever. Large beautiful rooms, large closet, large bathroom,bathtub and shower. wonderful service!! Great lobby and restaurant. The only draw-back was it was a very busy hotel, lots of business meetings going on and weddings.

Friendly staff, Upscale atmosphere, beautiful rooms, safe environment. Expensive Food, but this is Paris. The Grande Hotel was central to our first "Paris" experience. We definitely plan to come back again. Everything was top of the line. The staff was friendly. The room was beautiful and clean. The environment was safe. I can't wait to come back.

"The rooms are minute, and lack basic luxuries such as a coffee pot. My ""superior"" room had peeling paint. The metro runs directly below the hotel, making the rooms vibrate every 10-15 minutes. Go to the Ritz or St. George and experience true luxury for the same price."

My wife and I just got back from a 5 night stay at the Intercontinental Le Grand. It was an overall wonderful experience.1.Location-There is a bus (roissybus) that leaves from Charles DeGaulle Airport and stops one block from the hotel. The pick up point for the bus is right outside of Terminal 1.2. We arrived at the hotel at 8:30 AM and were in our room by 8:45 AM3. There is a metro stop 1/2 block from the hotel.4. Everyone was very friendly from the check-in to the hotel maidsWould definitely stay here again

"if you are arriving before 3 PM don't expect to get your room before then. the front desk staff is helpful and efficient but lacking in customer service. the hotel was recently refurbished so the rooms are beautiful and european classic but new and clean, the bathrooms are impecable and the beds are soo comfy! but unlike other classic parisian hotels like the Ritz, the reburbishments provide a sort of newer comfort. you don't feel like your staying in some drafty stuffy hotel. PS the cafe de la paix is appearantly the hottest meeting spot in town and offer uniquely parisian cuisine. "

This is an elegant hotel, with amazing public spaces. The staff is helpful - always - and it is in a great location. Walking to most of Paris' main attractions is a glorious experience. The rooms are really small - by American standards.

I am currently staying at the Intercontinental Hotel in Vienna and would have to say that it is one of the worst hotel experiences that I have ever had. I have had about 100 hotel stays this year alone and would rank this as my worst!

everything one would expect in a full service hotel. it was the right choice for me given a limited time (3 days...3 nights) in paris. not an economy place; however, you get what you pay for. enjoy.

I went to Paris with my husband for our quick get-away vacation and we absolutly loved our time in Paris but I think it was much nicer due to the hotel we were staying at. From the moment we walked in to the lobby, everything was done in absolute discreet yet very attentive manner by the staffs. We also had lunch at the hotel restaurant and their service and foods were excellent. Also, as we were doing bunch of tourist things, realized more and more how close InterContinental was from everything. Just loved the whole setting. Room was very clean and who could resist that plush/clean/very comfortable bed? The only thing I was not 100% sure was the fragrance they had in their lobby and hallways. It was very nice but since I do have asthma, that was something I could do without. Other than that, we really were happy with InterContinental. I will highly recommend and we will check into InterContinental next time we travel.
