My wife and myself always choose this hotel when we weekend in Sydney. The Watson bay rooms have a great view over the harbour and part of the city. Try and get the rooms in the centre for the best views and floor 16 or 17 gives views from the bed its self! The corner room nearest the city is not the best for views. Food in cafe opera is good and the seafood buffet great value ( half price from 6 pm to 7.30pm)or use your loyalty vouchers. Breakfast is also very good again self selection or a la carte should you prefer. Parking is charged and is valet parked. Join the Ambassador club for late check and free items i.e. fruit bowl and a movie. Public areas are good but can be a little cold in winter. Service is very good and staff are well trained and friendly.

The hotel has a great location and the harbour rooms have a fabulous view. However on our stay over the xmas/new year period, we found the service inconsistent with a shocking ability to consistently get things wrong. Ensure you check your bill carefully on checkout otherwise you may end up paying for items that you do not expect. The hotel trades on its location.

We had a great time and its in a great location. My only complaint is that either this or the actual hotel website described city and harbor views from the rooftop bar or the roof area in general but only Intercontinental Club members are allowed up there.

Incredible staff, Tin the concierge did an amazing job. The price of the restaurant within was a little steep. The lobby is very impressive and partially is a historic building. The rooms were clean, quiet, spacious and modern. I didn't like the adjustable volume for the TV in the bathroom. The pool had a strange smell and seemed in need of attention for a hotel of this caliber. There was a full service gym complete with free weights and a small selection of weight machines, treadmills, ellipticals, etc. The best thing about this hotel is the exceptional and friendly staff. The foreign exchange services at the hotel were less expensive than could be found locally as there was no fee (the rates were a little bit less favorable, but I came out well ahead). The concierge service was exceptional. I easily had a rental car delivered to me.

The room I had was the biggest room that I have ever booked and I have been travelling worldwide consistently for over 15 years. Everything was actually five star for once! Fantastic stay.

The best hotel stay Ive ever experienced. The staff were outstanding, and the facilities were all that were promised. This will be the hotel I stay at from now on.

Set within a couple minutes' walk from both the Domain and Circular Quay, the InterContinental makes a perfect base for exploring the city by foot, bus, train, and ferry. During our stay the hotel staff were exceptional across the board, including one front desk (not even the concierge) employee who not only gave us some great ideas for where to get unique and interesting photographers (one of us is a photog), but even practically walked us onto the right ferry for the trip. It's definitely an expensive hotel, but if you want a perfect Sydney experience without risk, you can't go wrong here.

Location and views are spectacular. No hot tub. Pool needs to be better filtered. Excellent location, easy access to the trains and the ferries. Great views of the Sydney Harbor bridge and the Opera House. Walkable distance to The Rocks area of Sydney, one of the prime shopping and eating areas. Walkable to Sydney Museums. The hotel is right across the street from the Sydney Botanical Gardens, one of the most spectacular botanical gardens in the world.

My husband and I treated mum and dad to a weekend in Sydney for their 50 Wedding anniversary. The Intercontinental upgraded both our rooms to harbourview to mark the occasion at no extra cost to us. Our every need was catered to. The rooms were magnificent absolutely 5 star. We regularly stay at the Intercontinental and again were not disappointed. Mum and dad loved the high tea served in the lower bar area. We'll be back

Excellent location, staff, amenities, and room configuration. Smell from smoking floor seeped into the other floors.

Booked a Club Exec suite but reception failed to provide access until the second day. Once access granted, the club lounge was of highest quality with outstanding views of sydney harbour, opera house and bridge. very close to ferries and trains so easy to get around sydney. didnt try the restaurant. clean room with hidden features and good foxtel range.

The location to the everything especially the water. The pool was indoor! I really appreciated the excellent service at this fine hotel. From the reception desk, to housekeeping to the great folks at concierge and the hotel lounge, my mother and I felt very taken cared of all the way around.

Very clean, crisp beds, with very comfy covers. Great view from room. Absolutely nothing! This hotel is tops! From the front desk to the concierge to the lobby bar, all staff was wonderfully warm and helpful. Room was impeccably clean, with fantastic beds, perfect bathrooms and a great view. It was memorable.

I was very disappointed with our checking in experience as we had to wait nearly an hour for our room to be ready when we arrived at 4pm. All they offered us to conpensate for this was a free drink at the bar when friends of ours had to wait 5mins for their room at a nearby hotel and were given free upgrade to the presidential suite.

Wonderful! My husband and I stayed at the Intercontinental in Sydney recently and just loved the hotel. It's in a great location, close to Ferry's, Opera House, Park, etc. Room was beautiful, bed was really comfortable! Staff was just wonderful! When airport shuttle didn't show up, concierge immediately got us a cab. I will definitely stay there again!
