Location was excellent, convenient to shopping, visitor sites, parks and public transportation. Room was small, comfortable but not luxurious. Nice fitness facilities and great location that was convenient to underground, parks, shopping and visitor sites.

I thought there was an indoor pool but overall the hotel was excellent and I would stay there again. Hotel staff was very helpful and the location was great.

Within steps of attractions restaurant/room nicely fitted. Water wasnot hot enough in shower. I would highly recommend this hotel, from the welcoming lobby, to the beautifully decorated and very efficient room, to the well equipped business center. Ideally located, and very accessible to points of interest and local restaurants, just a short walk away.

We just returned from our trip to London and stayed there 5 days. The Hotel is placed very conveniently around city's best sights: Buckingham Palace, long parks, the tube (train), etc. We loved it, but we were troubled why we didn't have a cover sheet for 2 days. Only the bottom bed sheet was on and the covers. We thought it was an England "thing", but then on day 3 we had a cover sheet placed! Very weird. We had to changed our room because when we opened the curtains, we could see our neighbors (to the right and left of us) so we had to closed the curtains that entire day. We felt in a cave with no views to enjoy. So I called and changed it to another room on the front of the hotel with views. They were really nice about it. Ah, they also come in the afternoons to 'open your beds for the night', and placed slippers on the floor next to the bed every night. Nice touch. But don't touch ANYTHING from the little bar (a can of coke is 4.50 pounds or 9 US dollars EACH!) we ended up paying 18 dollars for 2 cans of coke that night. I do recommend this hotel, it was very nice indeed!

The location is perfect because it's just a short walk through the park to Buckingham Palace and all the government sites along the river. Just out the front door and up Piccadilly is the Hard Rock Cafe and plenty of shops and sites that interest teens. Except for cocktails in the lobby bar, we didn't use any of the dining options. My kids can be finicky and prices were too high to chance it. The hotel reminds me of other InterContinental properties (Chicago and New York Barclay) where I've stayed.

Staff was very friendly, helpful and available. Room was very clean and well appointed. We would recommend this location in Mayfair, close to the underground, St James park and quaint Shepherd's market. Rooms were spacious and well appointed, staff was very helpful.

Evey thing about the hotel was great. Can't think of anything. Great place to stay. The desk was very nice and friendly. Great room over looking the park.

Excellent location. Many restaurants nearby.... great parks to stroll in. Close to tube. Modern style; would have preferred something that had more character as a hotel in England".

Location! Clean rooms, wonderful linens, friendly concierge, great staff, in general. Very busy and somewhat cold feeling, not 5-star. Nothing special really to set it apart.

The staff and the rooms were fantastic, not to mention the location. Great place to stay, central to many sites. Rooms are fantastic and the staff was wonderful.

Attractive, efficient, comfortable. Big, lots of people, rather like most other hotels.. A five star hotel is more than a list of amenities. It's about how it feels. There are five stars that make you feel really glad to be there. You hope you can come back. This hotel probably provided all the things a five star is supposed to provide, but it just felt like a busy, expensive hotel.

Excellent location, flawless rooms, well maintained. Classic business hotel. There never seemed to be a doorman. It was winter. Service was polite and prompt, but had language issues and took 2 or 3 tries. Spent a little over a week here with my wife and 10 and 12 year old daughters over holidays and New Years. This is a classic high end business hotel. Great location steps from the Underground, walking distance to Buckingham Palace and other sights. Service was polite and prompt, but minor things seemed to take 2 tries. They kept forgetting to restock the instant coffee/tea service in rooms and got the requested newspaper wrong. The rooms are modern, well appointed including Bose Wave sound, soaking tub and rain shower. The public areas are modern and stylish. The neighborhood is very high end and not commercial, but convenient to all types of restaurants. All in all, I recommend.

Great position, good staff. Standing in the bath to shower, at this star level hotel should provide a separate shower cubicle. In my opinion, an excellent four star that doesn't quite have the chutzpah to make it to five stars. In fairness it tries hard and the excellent position possibly just warrants the extra star.

Great location and very clean! Wish we could have had adjoining rooms. This hotel was lovely. The rooms were very nice and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The rooms were well lit and very quiet. The Bose sound system was a nice touch. The staff was eager to assist. The manager upgraded one room since we could not have adjoining rooms. Would really recommend to friends.

Fantastic location. Very convenient to public transit and tourist attractions. Somewhat poor sound insulation between rooms - awoke us a few times in the night. Unbeatable central location with great access to public transit (literally across the street from a tube station). Very upscale with nice furnishings and elegant amenities. Somewhat loud at night with rather poor sound insulation between rooms.

Location and quality of guest rooms is outstanding. Lobby & lounge area ambiance cold, not warm or inviting. A great hotel with an outstanding location in the heart of West End London. The guest rooms are luxurious and comfortable. The restaurant is not great, but clearly above average. The staff was friendly and helpful. The main negative is the Lobby lounge & bar - the decor is very modern and austere - not inviting. The entertainment in the lounge is orientated to the 20 year old set - too loud euro/industrial jazz - not the age bracket of most of the visitors I saw - business travelers in their 30s-50s. Too bad really - it drove us out of the hotel to find shelter in the Dorchester Hotel up the street.

This hotel has an excellent location and met all my expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The on-demand movie service in my room didn't work and they were not able to fix it while I was there. The Intercontinental is very conveniently located near the Hyde Park Corner tub station. This made traveling to attractions very easy. The surrounding area is very walk able with a new of parks. The service and the food were excellent. I especially recommend high tea. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will make a return visit.
