Hotel was in the best location..near wharfs, yet not in crowded area (Tall Ships was in town.) Clean, new, modern, and helpful staff. Good choice, which I would not have found if not for Orbit deals. 5 star was good.

My family booked this hotel as a weekend getaway. When we arrived, we were astonished at how lovely our room was! But on the other hand, a jar of cashews from the mini bar cost $18!!!!! The health club was nice, but the pool's deep part was 4ft.(it was a lap pool). It's close to South Station. Very nice. But the pillows were uncomfortable (too SOFT).

This hotel was simply amazing! I was traveling on business with a child and my travel agent had booked a room with two double beds. Well, upon arrival there were no rooms available w/the 2 beds. Therefore, we were upgraded to an Executive Suite with many apologies given for the "inconvenience". However, this room was on the 8th floor and overlooked the bay and the city. The view was amazing! The staff brought in a roll away bed for the child which was very comfortable. The master bed was equally comfortable, the suite was nicely decorated in modern decor, and the room was exceptionally clean. We arrived at around 11:30 pm and we were very hungry. The hotel has a French Restaurant, Miel, within it that is open 24 hours. The food was wonderful! The child had the Angus Burger and I had the Bavette steak. It was so good! The staff were all friendly and courteous. I would definately stay there again. Only negative, was that you have to valet park as there is no other options. The charge is 34.00 a night!

The hotel was perfect for a romantic getaway.. the view was expectacular as was the room... the service from the staff was excelent, very attentive... I'll stay here next time I travel to Boston, definitively!

The design was beautiful. The spa was excellent. Great location. Beautiful design. Clean. Lovely down quilts. Wonderful spa, steam shower, products in the locker room.

This is a gorgeous hotel. My stay was wonderful and could not have been better. That said, I think I overshot a little bit, i.e. could have stayed at a cheaper hotel. This place is much nicer than the usual hotels I stay in...the cheapest thing on the dinner/lunch room service menu was mac&cheese for $17 before tip/surcharge. But the rooms are roomy and gorgeous with all the amenities you could need and the staff is very courteous and helpful. The location is great, about 3 blocks from the silver line (bus to the airport) - take it, it is VERY easy and will save you $25 each way.

Stayed at the Intercontinental in Boston over the July 4th weekend. The hotel was excellent. The staff were very friendly and professional and the hotel was in a great location. The room we were in was very clean and quiet, the bed was very comfortable and the en suite was better than some we have seen in other hotels. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again if I return to Boston. Not only was the hotel great, it was in a good location to explore the city.

I got a great rate booking on Orbitz. The hotel staff is friendly and offered great tips on where to go to enjoy the 4th of July fireworks. The hotel is modern and stylish along the waterfront. The view of the water was relaxing and calming. The hotel is located one block away from the red and silver lines. And walking to Back Bay, North End and Boston Commons was very convenient. The area was very safe to walk at night.

Great location to public transit. Clean. Large room. Front desk clerk was trying to sell up. Clean, new, hotel with spacious rooms, great view of Boston Harbor and close to South Station with connections to anywhere in Boston. We went to two games at Fenway via trains and could walk to the Freedom Trail, shopping, etc. Pool and spa are first class.

I reserved a double room on online travel website , but when I arrived the hotel could only offer me a twin. When I asked to be moved and upgraded the next day, the desk clerk was rather haughty and grudgingly moved me but an upgrade for my time and inconvenience was out of the question! This has happened to me in the past with online travel website. When I specify a king room in my booking, I expect to get one!. Also, the hotel apparently straddles a huge carbon dioxide vent from a Big Dig tunnel. The locals were all amazed a hotel was built there, and wonder if the air is safe.

The hotel has a very well trained and helpful staff. The location is excellent and offers easy foot access to the Financial District and the tourist and eating areas around the harbor and the North End. The bathroom with its soaking tub was a pleasure for sore muscles after walking the Freedom Trail. The shower was also excellent. The double beds aren't that wide so larger humans such as my wife and myself weren't able to sleep together. The king beds would be no problem. The bed itself was firm and I slept very well. Anyone staying at this hotel would enjoy every aspect.

The hotel is in a perfect location to walk to many of the city's historical sites. The hotel staff was very courteous and professional. The hotel bar seems to be a happening spot on Fri and Sat night. Spent most of our time walking around the city so didn't check out the pool, spa or fitness rooms. Hotel rooms were very clean and quiet. Nice place to relax after a long day of sightseeing.

Fabulous, modern, great location, good swimming pool, 2 blocks from the T. No in-room coffeepot. Fabulous, modern, really nice people. 2 blocks from the T, wonderful location near the water. Easy to get to, loved it. Coffee and wonderful muffins from a little cart in the lobby.

We were immediately impressed by the outside appearance of the hotel, and the room and view did not disappoint. We were happy with either a riverside view, or city view. The desk clerk said a river view would cost an extra $50 per night, so we went with the city view. It was spectacular - and we could even still see the Charles River. The food was expensive; we only ate breakfast there. But the main good thing about the hotel is is proximity to South Station. There is a Silver Line "T" public transportation bus that leaves the airport and ends at South Station, and it's just a couple of blocks down to the hotel. The South Station was very much utilized by us during our stay, as we took it to come home from Salem, and to go to Cape Cod. If Boston is your hub for outlying areas, this is a good hotel for you. And the Freedom Trail was certainly within walking distance - and you will walk your feet off in Boston, believe me! As far as the room, there is a large flat-screen TV, as well as separate shower/tub facilities. It was decorated very nicely. The 24-hour gym had a good view out the bank of windows, and offered a large swimming pool, and the standard gym equipment. We did not partake of the spa facilities. The concierge was quite helpful. I would stay here again, should I ever return to Boston.

We arrived into Boston in the morning, several hours before the 3pm check in time. The hotel kept pur bags and called us when our room was ready, about 1:30pm. The room itself was very nice. We stayed in a delux king room with a view of the city. Rooms on the other side have views of the river. The room was nicely decorated, very modern is design. Most importantly, it was clean. We had minimal interaction with staff, but at check in and check out, everyone was polite, curtious and helpful. We did not utilize the pool, fitness room, or on-site dining options. Two of the on-site restaurants had outside seating, overlooking the river/ harbor. The hotel was within walking distance to most of the tourist attractions downtown, ioncluding the aquarium, Quincy Market, Harbor, childrens museum, trolly tour stops and the T (metro). This hotel is located a little more south (3-4 blocks) than most others in the downtown area.

$15/day for wireless. $20/day for breakfast. If you want a coffee "to go" after breakfast, its another $2. My husband surprised me with a birthday present (he' s in Iraq), my daughter had to track it down and then upon checkout, I was charged $18 for the delivery. Being in the financial district, most businesses closed by 6 PM, and not much opened on the weekend. Beautiful hotel, but when I return to Boston, it will be to a different hotel.

I travel a lot, and found the Intercontinental Boston, which I booked through the travel website as part of a package with airfare, one of the best hotel experiences I have had. The room was comfortable, nicely furnished, and modern in its styling. The staff was outstanding--very helpful and attentive without being obtrusive. I invited members of my family from the Boston area to join me for breakfast at the hotel's restaurant, and we all found the food and the service to be outstanding. My stay was short, but the Intercontinental met my expectations in every way.
