Excellent value for moneyUnfortunately there was no linen in the room when we arrived and no soap. This was rectified quite quickly..They had run out of soap and took it from another room! The beds were the best I have had for a long time..very comfortable..as was the duvet and a blanket was provided to use if necessary..We like the smallness of the building, made it feel more "homely" and the fact that it was next to a lovely pub.It was quiet and once we knew where it was it was easily accessible and convenient. The breakfast was excellent..good choice of tea and coffee and cereals. Could have put a sachet of chocolate or herb tea in the room as I don't drink tea or coffee! Altogether good value for money and I would recommend it! Thank-you.

Hotel room was very nice. Although it was a very warm couple of days the room was cool. The only downside was that the entrance and stairs to the first floor was stiflingly hot.

Inkeepers Lodge Gosforth - a personal opinionAccommodation was good all round, offering an adequate size of room at a very reasonable price. Rooms were clean, well decorated, and well serviced. Good Continental breakfast. Evening meals not tried or checked for cost. Friendly, helpful service. Good parking.

Handy for Newcastle RacesFrom here you can walk across the road to the Racecourse or to events at the Marriott Hotel. I was attending a function at the Marriott and saved about £60 by staying at the inn keepers lodge, and I probably got a bigger room!

inexpensive but not cheapI have staid in 3/4 start hotels that are not as good as this. For the price I would highly recommend a stay. The staff are very friendly and efficient the rooms are large and comfortable. Its a little out of the way but if its just a base you are looking for this is the place to go in the area.

comments.....The best recommendation I can give is that I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to friends, probably the best I have experienced.

Liked the quiet location, comfy bed and pillows, so got a really good night's sleep. My daughter and I were visiting the University which was a straight run down into the city centre. Thought the hairdryer in the drawer a good idea - no having to search for sockets! but would have liked a spare socket [apart from kettle] to re-charge mobile phone. Perhaps a lift would have been a bonus for elderly or people, like my husband at the moment, with a bad knee!

brillant,if a little hotlady was realy welcoming, free breakfast was way above what you would expect, ie good branded names of food.the only drawback the room was really hot, didn't want to leave window open as on ground floor, but you may be able to adjust the temperature.differately stay there again

InnKeepers Lodge NewcastleWhen we arrived the hotel had only booked the one room instead of the two rooms confirmed on our booking form. It took a little while to sort but eventually they had a room for us which was a good job as the hotel was fully booked the day before. The manager promised to sort out and ring me with the excuse but never did until i got Laterooms involved. The hotel was very clean and the pub next door provided nice sunday lunches which was appreciated. I would stay here again as it was exactly what we needed but i would suggest you ring the hotel to confirm that they have got your booking exactly correct prior to arrival.

Overall good hotel!Once we found the hotel (nothing like the location identified on the map provided!) it was as would be expected, reasonable size room pub at the edge of the carpark for food/ drink.Breakfast was standard continental, staff friendly and helpful.
