The entrance to the Alpine Lodge Restaurant is located in the hotel lobby just a few steps away from the front desk. The hotel was very congested with antique cars. The front driveway was impassable. The driveways around the hotel were narrow and crowded. We had to ask for extra towels because there were no handtowels and only one washcloth in the room. The door was too small for the doorway, and there was an ugly gap all the way around it. There were several burnt out light bulbs in the lamps, and the room was too dark even when we managed to open the drapes. The lighting was especially dark in the shower. The air conditioner made a loud clank each time it came on or off, waking us up several times during the night. The rock wall and wood plank ceiling were very rustic-looking, but incongruous with the rest of the flowery decor. The stone counter in the dressing room was too small for the area, and there was an unattractive gap between it and the wall. The bathroom door was splitting at the bottom like it had water damage at some point.

I received exactly the room I reserved! I received a discount because of a water problem. Storm caused water pipe breakage-showered at a nearby rec. center I was very pleased with practically everything! When we arrived, the water was turned off for repairs for about 30 minutes. (No big deal) That night a storm blew through, causing more damage, so the water was off the next morning. We showered at a nearby family rec. center. Our room was perfect, people were wonderful, and we loved the hotel. We received a complimentary breakfast and a $25 discount on our room because of the inconvenience. I would stay there again.

Located in an area that was close to shopping and restaurants and had nightly enteratainment in the hotel itself. Rooms and grounds were clean and well appointed. Check in and out were quick and staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

Everything. Valet parking only, 28 dollar parking daily. The first skyscraper in Houston, originally a bank (vault still there), not many rooms, good security.

Location and friendly staff. Old tired and overpriced for what it is. If you don't mind so so rooms, spotty (if at all in-room WiFi) then stay at Inn of The Hills. An investment in their future with redecorated rooms (new beds, carpet, baths and furniture) and a more reliable wireless connection would make this a top choice. The pool (which was under reconstruction during this visit) is in a nicely landscaped courtyard, child friendly. I might consider not staying here again until changes are made.

Nice bathroom with an extra sink. Thought the carpeting was not vacuumed. A large facility, which is good for moderate to large sized conventions. It has a pool (which was not in season for use), tennis/basketball court.

Clean, comfortable, and updated. The accessibility from parking lot to room door. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I even left something there and spoke with the housekeeping to have it returned. It was clean and comfortable. I have plans to return.

The location was good. Room very unappealing. The room was relatively clean. It was very unattractive and very cramped. Smelled old. Towels had stains on them. Looked clean just had stains and were obviously well used. Bed very uncomfortable. Rips in the bed spread. Room was very cramped and the air conditioning worked only at the very coldest level. I was not impressed. Would not stay there again. Would not recommend to anyone.
