The Inn at St John is conveniently located off the west end of Downtown Portland Maine. The Inn at St John has been providing travelers to this city with exemplary service for over 100 years. We are only a short distance from the Portland Jetport as well as the Portland Transportation Center which houses Concord Trailways and The Amtrak Downeaster. We are located one and a half miles from the Oldport. We now have a computer for guest use in the lobby of the inn.

What are your breakfast options?: Breakfast is continental with an array of breaded items, cereals, fruit, yogurt as well as coffee and juice. Breakfast is served daily from 6:00am-10:00am.
What traveller type is most suited?: we would recommend the Inn to all types of travelers. We offer luxury rooms with king and queen beds. Not to mention standard king, queen, and doubles. These rooms all offer in-room bathrooms and are located through the building, mostly on lower floors. The next style is with a queen, double or twin bed and a privately assigned hallway bathrooms. These rooms are located on top, but mostly middle floors. And lastly we have double or twin size beds with shared hallway bathrooms, such as in a hostile (1 person capacity for usage). These rooms are on the middle but mostly the top floors of the building.

We are a small, independently run Victorian/European style Inn with charm and urban feel all in one. Anyone seeking this ambiance and who's on a budget would be most suitable for our facility.
What transport is available to get around?: Transportation centers for bus or train travel are within a mile of the inn.
What can I do nearby?: We are located very close to the Sea Dogs Stadium (minor league baseball) as well as the Red Claws arena (minor league basketball). There are parks, recreation centers within walking distance. Not to mention any attractions located in the downtown area (the "Old Port") is just over a mile from the inn.
Do you have internet?: We do offer wifi internet at no charge.
Do you provide parking?: We offer parking, at no charge, immediately behind the building. Once that lot fills we offer overflow parking in a restaurant parking lot which is adjacent to our own lot.
