What are your breakfast options?

We offer a full breakfast on site at our property. We have one chef that comes in each morning to cook breakfast for the guests. Typically He/She will prepare only one type of dish for every guest. We also have a breakfast buffet of fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, berry cobbler, pastries, and fresh squeezed juices. The breakfast is included in the cost of the room as we are technically a Bed and Breakfast; it runs from 7:30am-10:00am each morning; it is also available for in room delivery for no extra charge.

There are a couple of places within walking distance of the Inn that offer superb breakfast dining and these would be the Summerland Beach Cafe and Cafe Luna.

What transport is available to get around?

There is a bus line that runs from Summerland to all the Santa Barbara area. The bus may take a while to get you where you are going due to the stops but the bus stop is close-by, within walking distance. We would recommend a taxi cab for the easiest and fastest transport around town. The front desk staff will be happy to call a taxi for you, and let you know when it arrives.

There is a waterfront shuttle that runs up and down State St. (the main thorough fair). Everything downtown is close so once you are in SB you shouldn't need much transportation, you can walk or bike almost everywhere.

What can I do nearby?

At the Inn on Summer Hill, each room is equipped with a television, cable TV, a DVD and VHS player, in room radio with ipod capabilities, gas fireplace, Jacuzzi tubs, and either a patio or balcony looking out at the ocean. We offer a library of both DVD and VHS videos that is available to the guests for no extra charge. As for Summerland itself, the small town is known for its antique shopping and beautiful beach that can be accessed by either walking or driving from the Inn.

Summerland is a small beach community just south of Santa Barbara and offers a much more relaxed atmosphere than downtown. However because of our close proximity to Santa Barbara, there are endless activities available to our guests. Whale watching, sunset cruises, bike rentals, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, wine tasting, kayaking, shopping, and world class dining are among the many activities that can be enjoyed in the area. Many events also take place in the area such as the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

Do you have internet?

We do offer wireless internet in all our rooms at no additional charge. Some rooms have better connections than others so if it's an important factor in your stay, be sure to mention it while making a reservation.

Do you provide parking?

We have two parking lots, one for downstairs rooms and one for the upstairs rooms. We have plenty of parking, it's free and there is also free street parking should you need it.

Parking downtown can be tricky on the streets, read signs carefully. There are also several downtown parking lots that charge for parking.
