The Inn by the Lake is in a great location- we have stayed there a couple of times before. They are right outside of the KY Dam Village State Park, so there is fishing, boating and golfing very close.They have two pools-one indoor one outdoor.The outdoor pool is huge!! With plenty of deck space. One of only a couple of lounges in the area (it is dry county) and had live entertainment both nights we were there. Another great feature- they have their own restaurant which is open all day. Hotel staff is friendly. The only thing that we are dissatisfied with was that a year ago they said they were upgrading, but we haven't seen any rooms that have been redone. They need to put in new carpeting and give the rooms some fresh paint.

Location was good. Not friendly and no hot water in bathroom. They do not have an indoor pool, been broke for 2 years. No hot water, so cold shower. Told owner and stated, we needed to run the water for 10 mins to get hot water.

It was a fishing trip. Bait store across the street and a mile from lake it was great. The indoor pool was out of service. Like I said it was a fishing trip the hotel catered to fisherman had a boat parking lot with electric to charge batters clean rooms bait shop across the street and a mile from lake it was great.

Old, wall paper falling off walls. Hide-a-bed not comfortable, burn holes in blankets. This hotel should not be recommended.
