We live in Las Vegas and took a trip to the Palm Springs Area to visit family. It was easy to get to. It was very close to stores and you only have to go out one road to find anything you need without getting lost. Very clean. Beautiful Lobby. Very spacious, not like vegas where everything isthisclose together. Rooms are a bit outdated as most the other reviews say, but we left the area and went to The San Diego Zoo for the 4th, so really it was just there to sleep, we didnt hang out in the room much. Even on a sold out weekend (all rooms were booked on the 4th) I didnt see more than 20 people at a time, and thats even counting during breakfast. This was well worth the $$ paid for the weekend stay. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The pool area was also wonderful. My 6 year old had a blast.

The elegant lobby and surrounding areas make you anticipate a much posher room. Although space is not an issue in the guest rooms, update of its furnishings is. The sliver of soap by the sink and the bathtub date from another era. The "free" breakfast is barely okay, although for an additional $6.95 you can order pancakes, eggs, etc. We requested and paid for an "upgraded" room and got one off the parking, ground floor, not exactly my idea of an upgraded room. Since our stay was short, it didn't matter much, but I wouldn't want to spend more than one night in these conditions.

While this was a great location for the PLO with free shuttle service, our room as well as some others in the group were smelly, the mattrees was old and worn out and we won't even discuss how bad the pillows (or things they called pillows) were. We requested a room change but due to sold out could not. After requesting at least a pillow change twice I finally demanded a new mattress and new pillows which to our surprise showed up the last night of our stay. To add insult to injury our car was broken in to while there. Since there was nothing in the car no other damage than the window. The 18 per day resort add on fee is a joke. The comp breakfast is nice. Evening happy hour a joke. Having the shuttle service to/from the tennis tournament a real plus. We were told that renovations were only about 80% complete. Guess I got a bad draw.

We thought this hotel was very nice overall. Clean and quiet, nice pool, comes with breakfast, pleasant staff, and seems to have just been painted/landscape sharpened up/bathrooms redone & nice. Our room was a little disappointment only in that we suffered a bit from the cigarette smell. Changed our room to another "non-smoking" only to find it was the same. If it hadn't been for the cigarette problem, we would have been totally satisfied.

When I first checked in I was impressed with how friendly the front desk staff, especially Elvis, the front end manager was. Unfortunately that was the only positive impression this "resort" left. Upon entering the west end door, I was overwhelmed with the musty odor from the carpet. It was 115 degrees outside and at least that hot in the hallways. I went to my room on the second floor and discovered that I was placed in a room that obviously needs major renovations. The carpet had a 2" wide rip in the middle of the floor. The phone did not work at first, neither did the remote for the tv. The shower door, which is glass, kept falling out of its groove, making it impossible to open or close. The window unit a/c was VERY LOUD and hard to control the temp. The carpet on the edges was very dirty. The door did not close correctly so it took several hard pushes for it to latch. The "security" lock didn't twist. Housekeeping did not restock the toilet paper or shampoo when they cleaned the first morning, which we discovered too late. The elevator was disgustingly dirty and the stairs even worse. On top of all this, we were charged a "resort" fee of * a day, which was not disclosed until we checked out. Quite a scam that was. We also notified the front desk that there were charges for phone calls we did not make, which were taken off, but not before a few "yeah right" sighs were made....this is perhaps one of the worst hotels we have EVERY stayed at.

Overall, I did like the hotel. I was there on business and I was very relaxed and felt very safe. Room was very clean, although it did have a musty smell. Maybe it is the age of the hotel. The bathtub was great. The slats on the sliding door was broken and I was not able to let in much natural light. The staff was fabulous and extremely friendly!!!! I will stay there again soon!

The Indian Wells Resort was disappointing. The pictures did not show the shabby furniture, dirty carpeting and musty odor. Even the lobby furniture was shabby. We were given a room with a parking lot view. We recognize that we got the room for a low price. Unfortunately, the resort was sold out with a conference and we were not able to upgrade or change rooms. Our reservation was prepaid for 2 nights and we left after the first night.

Diet soda expiration dates were 2004, 2005 & 2006 in fridge. Not removed after requested with desk. Basket for lotions/shower cap in bathroom empty. Covered blanket/sheets with bedspread w/out making up blanket & sheets. Customer survey on t.v. froze and couldn't complete. Desk Clerk unfamiliar that survey existed. Egg chef gone at continental breakfast altho continental breakfast still in progress;unable to get inclusive eggs.

Nothing open on Saturday afternoon except hot pool bar - no food till 5pm. Rooms nice. Our view not so but you get what you pay for. Nice room, bathroom had great tile and appointments.

The shower was nice. They tried to charge me an additional $20 per night resort fee without having any real resort amenities. This is a has been resort. There is nothing extraordinary or even very nice about this hotel.

This place was truely Wonderfull! I capitalized the "RESORT" because it that in a superlative manner.

Calling this a resort is like calling a 7-11 a grocery store. What it is, is a hotel with a pool that is next to a golf course. The food was less than average and over priced. My advice is spend a little more to stay at a nicer ""resort"". Best part of the stay was the weekend entertainment.

We were in town for one night on personal business and picked the hotel because of the great price. The rooms were large and had all the basic amenities. There is a pool and fitness room and conveniently located on Hwy 111. It is a quiet area but close to all the local shopping and restaurants.

Big, beautiful bathrooms and an inviting pool area. The bed was not comfortable at all. The hotel is inviting and friendly. It's near several attractions and has beautiful rooms.

I guess you get what you pay for. Balconies are dangerous for little kids. The pool floor is very slippery and needs some repairs, other then that the kids enjoy the pool area. The bar lounge out in the pool area was not open the whole time we were there. The lounge inside was closed most of the day too. Happy hour is your best bet, drinks are half off and food is half off, but get there on time ,it's only one hour. FYI if you order something outside you will get charged an extra fee and it's not a small fee. You also get charged a $20 dollar fee for parking your own car each day and who knows what else. Continental breakfast is continental breakfast, I recommend the drive up Hwy 111, lots to see and lots of 4 to 5 star restaurant.
