Description:
Welcome to Taos and Indian Hills Inn, Taos Plaza. The Hotel is conveniently located downtown, just 2 blocks South of historic Taos Plaza with it's galleries, shops, museums, and other points of interest. Taos is nestled at the edge of the Sangre de Christo mountains of Northern NM. Skiing, biking, hiking, white water rafting, and more are nearby. The Indian Hills Inn, Taos Plaza is Taos' best located and easiest to find Hotel for the Taos Experience. Built in the traditional Southwestern Pueblo style, most rooms face over an acre of grass, tall trees. NOTE completely remodeled pool is open seasonally regardless of what other sites say. Hotel and grounds are an unusually peaceful respite in the busy downtown area. Call hotel direct for most up to date info, rates.

Our room was recently updated, and was comfortable. The pool and our bathroom could have been cleaner. It is good for the price and location. The front desk staff was friendly and informative. The hotel has a nice courtyard with fireplaces. I would stay here again.

We stayed in October in a very pleasant room. The room was clean and the linens were nice. The hotel staff was very helpful, and gave us ideas for many things to do. They had a very peaceful courtyard which enabled my husband and I to lounge under some huge old trees. The swimming pool looked nice, although I did not swim. The location was the best. I was within walking distance to the historic plaza which was nice because I didn't have to fight the traffic down town (which was a very busy weekend in Taos). I will definitely be back next year! I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, comfortable room at a reasonable price.

Easy to get to, quiet. Noisy bathroom fan. Was quiet, easy to get to, short walk to the Plaza. Continental breakfast needs improved, I had to ask for a glass of milk so I could have some cereal. Need more of a variety of juices, dry cereal, a large Thermos for the milk.

The Indian Hills Hotel in Taos is located three blocks from the Historic Plaza and the center of town, making it ideal in location, that, and the free continental breakfast are the only two things I can say the Inn has going for it. I checked in and my room smelled, the carpet was bubbled off the floor, (I assume due to a past flood) and the bathroom wasn't clean. I asked for another room and it was better but not by much. The carpeting was dirty and very old, the bathroom didn't seem really clean to me, the blankets and pillows were old and didn't smell fresh at all, and the HBO they claimed they offered in the rooms didn?t exist in mine. When I checked in they charged me in advance for my entire stay, and when I went to the lobby to inform the manager I would rather stay somewhere else the second night and requested a refund, she said that was not possible and blamed Travel agency, even though they charged my card right in front of me. When I told the Manager how appalling the condition of the hotel was she made no apologies. I travel economy most of the time, my philosophy is there is no reason to spend a lot of money on a room you don't plan to spend much time in and I have stayed at many economy hotels that boasted the same amenities that Indian Hill's does that were clean and welcoming, I can not say that about this Inn, and would definitely not enjoy staying there again.

The front desk woman. Room not clean when we arrived. Dirty carpet and walls. The attendants were very nice and helpful. It made staying there more tolerable. The room was ok, but the carpets and walls need cleaning.

More cable station. Pathetic. But that is the only thing good I can say. No micro/fridge, very thin walls, half of hotel in shambles. Felt unsafe in general. When we arrived the desk clerk was very nice and check in was fairly easy. We went to our room and the it was destroyed. The clerk didn't know that the room was one of the many that had been flooded. The ceiling plaster was all over the place, the mattresses were bare (other than plaster and water damage). I immediately went to the front desk and the clerk apologized and put us in another room in the other building. We originally had two queens and were put into a king bed room. The walls/ceiling is paper thin and we could hear every cough/voice/TV/blow dryer etc. There was no micro or fridge which I expect even the lower end hotels should have and usually do. The parking was in the back of the building where we could not see our car. We did not feel particularly safe in the neighborhood (two women traveling alone) and having our car so far away and out of site was a little disconcerting. The room had a gas fireplace unit built into the wall and Turing it on made the room smell like natural gas. We turned it off and hoped not to asphyxiate in the night.

Terrific room and staff! Lobby closed at 10PM. No microwave or fridge. The roomwas perfect, very comfortable, better than the original & the price went down. The staff was wonderful and the location great!

Nothing it was filthy Filthy, unfriendly, old. This was the worst experience I have had with priceline. The hotel had horribly stained carpet, very small TV with no remote and a cold shower on Sunday morning. Will not priceline at Taos, NM again.

Very nice hotel staff, quiet rooms. Rooms clean but have been rode hard. Good value for price especially in high price location and season. Friendly, accommodating hotel staff. Facilities a little older, showing wear, but clean and functional.

Good location and friendly helpful staff. The part we stayed in had older facilities, needs to be updated. We arrived for a late check in, were met with very helpful staff who offered lots of information about local activities. Our rooms were clean, but could use updating in the section we stayed in. Within easy walking distance of the downtown area. Moderate rooms for a good price. Would stay there again.

Convenient to Downtown Plaza. Older hotel without recent updates. The first room we were given was terrible-designated as smoke free, but reeked of old and new cigarette smoke. We asked to change rooms because of smell and the POOR quality and upkeep of the room. I would not recommend this hotel and I would ask that you reconsider listing it with Priceline. The evening desk person also acted as if we were imposing on his time when we checked in. We moved to a "better" room the next a.m., but still had the smell of smoke(possible from the vent system??)

The manager moved us to a different room when we complained about the first room. The rooms with 2 beds have not been remodeled yet. Only the king bed rooms have been remodeled. The rooms with the 2 queens were old. There is no pool, you have to walk down a dark path to get to some of the rooms, and the breakfast was pitiful.
