It was affordable, comfortable trip. Everything was good. The only thing I didnt like was the smell at hotel rooms. It was as if the room had been closed for days with humidity and no proper ventilation although aircon was working fine. Even at the end of my stay, that old, closed room smell was still there. I also liked Creek 28 restaurant. It was great place to take dinner at night.

We spent 3 nights in the hotel. Very nice hotel, specially the beauty of the deco lobby and the terraze in the swiminpool area. Complementary breakfast was nice with some pastries and juices. Our children missed toast, they said how is possible the hotel do not offer bread for breakfast? It was very nice to have breakfast in the swimminpool and take a bath after it. The rooms were a little small for 2 adults and 2 children but still nice. The most inconvinience was the parking. In the street of the hotel there is parking spot free from 6 pm until 8 am. This was forcing us to wake up early as per to pay a couple of hours that we needed before leaving. Thanks god we were to visit the Miami area and not to stay in Miami Beach. Parking in Miami is a big headache.

The hotel was very nice and only a $7 cab ride to Lincoln Road/shopping/restaurants/etc. The rooms are small but nice and clean, The walls were thin and noise from the in house restaurant lasts until a little after midnight. We had an room facing the courtyard so maybe a room facing the street would be more quiet. We would return. Great hotel for the price.

quiet hotel on a quiet street - wouldn't choose it again - I would rather spend a few dollars more for the hotel with the ocean view. though the beach is only two blocks away. but the reception staff is friendly. though miami downtown is a good 10-15 blocks away, so you either have to to take a long walk along the beach, or take a bus, or take a cab.

This was our fourth stay at this Deco gem, located just outside the South Beach dining and entertainment district, but near enough to dip into at will. The hotel's beautifully landscaped terrace and pool are an oasis; the restaurant is superb; the decor and atmosphere are lovely, spare, serene; and rooms, beds and amenities are consistently fine. Hotel staff are cordial and helpful. And overnight parking is less than $7.00 per 24-hour day--compared with $25 or more in South Beach. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Fairly nice boutique hotel, a little far away from middle of South Beach but great if you don't want to be in the action. Clean rooms, great staff, wonderful restaurant. Only complaint, the pool was dirty and the hot tub was out of order, bummer for cold Tennesseans looking for a treat in the sun. We wanted the South Beach experience so would stay closer to middle of town next time. Nice, restful hotel if that's what you are looking for.

This hotel is just a block away from a quieter strip of the beach. It is just outside the main South Beach area - a good 15 minute walk to the busy restaurant/shopping areas. The hotel was clean, quaint and a nice change from big chains. The pool area is small - good for a dip but not for someone planning to spend all their time at the hotel. The food at the restaurant was very good. The front desk could do with more staff - there was often a wait, a problem since they use old fashioned keys rather than swipe cards for the rooms.

A friend related to some people in a film company which stayed at the hotel told me that the people in the movie production were saying that the hotel was awesome and that they will go back; that they were treated very well by a very friendly staff, that the rooms were very clean and that the bar was cozy and that the restaurant was fabulous. That the atmosphere was very friendly, at ease, casual, and, at the same time, with a touch of class. I commented this to the night Front Desk person, and he showed me a fax sent by that film company expressing their favor for their great experience at the hotel and their pledge to come back and recommend the hotel to other film companies. From my own experience I can attest all of above and will come back My room was spotless clean and neat and the housekeeping personnel was fast, discrete and non intrusive nor disruptive. The front desk is one of the best I ever seen in my many travels, the white hair guy in the night shift, vast culture and a great rapport with guests, like if he was the owner, with a vested interest in having his guest happy. The bar/restaurant is one of the top ten in Miami Beach with great food, and very attentive and friendly staff. Loved the background music at night and breakfast, a great selection of classical music. Liked to have the paper delivered in my door every morning. Loved the alligator with the room key attached to it, makes a great souvenir and theme of conversation. The garden and pool are a Mini Paradise. Not a 5 star hotel in Dubai but is great and its people make it better.

The room was very small and so was the bathroom. The window did not open and the room door was not soundproofed so could hear people talk in the hallway. However, it was clean and well located. Compared to other hotels I stayed in the area, it was superior but would not stay there again.

The hotel itself is old, but cute. The lobby was nice, staff was very friendly. If you book this hotel, please know that you may get a room that is not attached to the hotel. It is actually an apartment. I thought that was pretty neat, but if you are not from Miami I would opt to stat at the hotel. I am from Miami in Orlando 2 years now so I felt safe and comfortable. The floor was tiled in the "apartment" or room that I stayed in so I didn't have to deal with old, dirty carpet. The bathroom was small, but it was updated and clean. The bed was comfortable. I did not get a chance to go to the pool, but please know I didn't have cable. that did not bother me b/c I was hardly in the room. K.Snowden Orlando,FL

We stayed at the Indian Creek Hotel prior to and immediately after our cruise out of Miami port. The Indian Creek Hotel experience was really, REALLY fun! The staff were warm and welcoming; the decor throughout took me back to a by-gone era. I especially loved the fact that many aspects of the original architecture were retained and lovingly restored, such as the original wooden ceiling in the lobby and the quaint private telephone room. We were glad to learn from the staff that the elevator is the original elevator--and it's the oldest functioning hotel elevator in Miami Beach. One of the most fun things is the room key! It's a real key that is attached to a cute, plastic (9") alligator and is intended to be left at the front desk when you're not in the room--we have pictures of "Freddy the Alligator" as part of our vacation album. And, did I forget to mention the courtyard and outdoor restaurant?! We had a wonderful meal outdoors--the foliage and 'wildlife' (adorable cats!) made us forget that we were in the middle of a city as we dined outdoors. I have shared our experience with so many of my friends and relatives. How easy it would have been to upgrade and update the property until you couldn't recognize it anymore, but the original charm and warmth is very much present. If you want a "real" experience in an authentic art deco property, not something created just to LOOK art deco, this is the place! But don't get me wrong--all the amenities that we are accustomed to were available. Would I go back? You BET! I also loved hearing a wide array of languages during breakfast--Spanish, French, German, Russian--and English! I wish Iowa was closer to Florida.

"I stayed in this quaint, clean, exceptional hotel on a business trip. It is in a quiet area within easy walking to the beach and main business district. It has a great restaurant with al fresco dining in a private courtyard with a pool. The ambiance was very nice and the d?r was stylish art deco, I was pleasantly surprised. I liked this hotel a lot. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcome. The room was clean and nice, although the bathroom might be small for some people. I look forward to getting back there soon."

Hotel is very charming. Staff was excellent, very helpful with inquiries etc. Just a few things could have made the stay more enjoyable. For example the elevator is the original. It adds character, but the carpet needs to be replaced. It also needs to be replaced in some of the hallways. The pool is heated which is nice, but rope that divides shallow end from deep end needs to be replaced it's fraying. Thus there is debris in the water. Hot tub is brand new, but needs to be maintained better. The outside restaurant ambience is delightful as well as the food. Would rate this hotel a B+.

THis hotel claims to to remodeled. All that was done was they put new flooring over the old and painted. Bathrooms are small and not up to date. The hotel staff isn't friendly. The restaurant is small but nice. Food was pretty good but pricey. If you stay don't stay on the main floor by the lobby. In these rooms you can hear everything all night long. We had a room full of young people that partied all night and got in at 5:00 a.m. and then wanted to party in the room. The hotel staff tried to quiet them but failed. The fire alarm was pulled at the same time and everyone had to vacate the hotel. This hotel is close to the beach but there is not very good choices for activities. For the price and location I will not stay here again.

Rooms are clean but very compact. Not very great amenities but near to beach and good to stay if you are going for 1 or 2 nights. Hotel dining options are also very limited.
