This break was a special treat for my partner who was celebrating his birthday. When we arrived at the hotel we were greated by a lovely lady in reception who gave us an upgraded room (double room with a balcony overlooking the bay). This really made our stay more memorable. The lady also recommended a nearby italian restaurant, which was again first class. The room was superb. Large comfy bed, dressing area and a huge bathroom. The complimentary bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch. The breakfasts were lovely and plenty of it. Again the staff were friendly and paid attention to detail. The hotel and location does attract older clients, so this area is not the place to go if you are looking for lively bars and nightlife.Also the seagulls are lethal...so be careful...!!!A lovely place to relax and unwind....would definately visit again.

OUR STAY 9th MAY 2009Very nice hotel, Smashing room but could be laid out better, big bathroom, big comfy bed, flat screen telly. Breakfast very well prepared, cooked and presented by top quality staff. One small grumble - bar prices far higher than they should be. Would definitely stay there again.

Great HotelBreakfast disappointing unless you got there early!!!! Swimming pool hardly worth the effort but otherwise a great place to stay.

We were early booking- in and at the reception desk- no problem. leave your cases here the porter will take them to your room and when its ready we will find you. The breakfast was something else, excellent. I could not find marmalade for my toast, the waitress "Kate" brought a preserving jar of "her words-- home made" .We felt at home and all the staff made it feel that way.

The room was clean, modern and contemporary. The evening meal was well presented and very good. No complaints at all.Breakfast was standard fare, however well presented and plenty of choice. A very nice hotel.

As always, a very pleasant stay in a hotel that offers consistently high standards. But it would be good if chairs could be provided for those using the sauna and steam room during 'rest' periods.

Excellent Victorian hotel with good service and clean rooms, with a view of the sea.

We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed it. The room was big and very clean, the breakfast nice and there was a lot to choose from. We also enjoyed our dinner, and the restaurant and bar staff were very good. Only minus was the shower in the bathroom which was not a handheld one but one that is fitted above your head. It is not practical at all.

Very pleasant staff. Hotel refurbished very well recently - given double aspect sea view rooms at standard price. Breakfast above average.Congested car park but to be expected as on sea front. Had a lot worse for a lot more money - great value.

The Imperial seemed to be better than the rest in Llandudno. I stayed half-board, and the breakfast was first-class, the service excellent, and the room was up to standard. If I go back to Llandudno this year, I would prefer to stay at the Imperial.

Simply had a one night stop over, refurbishment is in progress, but didn't interfere with our stay, our room was tastefully refurbed. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly, even when our car was blocked in by other cares, staff went out of their way to help
