Too expensive for the quality, no hot water in the bedroom, my place was noisy (neighbours were noisy, it was not the hotel's fault, i guess) and the staff on the phone for booking, almost displeasant

other than a tiny mouse issue (that was quickly resolved), we loved this hotel. close to the metro, quiet streets, walking distance to the eiffel tower, close to the seine, breakfast included...highly recommended...

One of the worst hotels I stayed at in Paris... You can find much better price-quality hotels in this big city.

Quite noisy rooms (thin walls), but price and location is great.

This was a small room with thin walls, at best I'd call it 'adequate'. But at worst, I'd also say it was adequate, and throw in a nice location, an excellent price, and a really great staff. . .I certainly wouldn't NOT recommend it.

A reasonable sized room for Paris and at a very good price. The bed was comfortable and facilities in the room quite nice. It was close to a metro, but wherever you wanted to get to was always two tube trips away. You did hear the traffic noise even with the windows closed.

A warning about not getting off at the Emile Zola Metro would have been helpful especially if you have a large suitcase and a recalcitrant child. The welcome was indiferrent at best, I was handed the keys and pointed to the lift. The lift was tiny. The room when I got to it was small. Having said this it was very clean. The bed was the worse I've ever slept in and despite asking could not get the mattress changed. The bathroom was compact but adequate and clean, however, the shower head kept moving during my showers and I had to hold it to get water on myself otherwise it would have meant running around the bathroom after the water! There was a TV in the room but only 1 English channel with the same focus each day. So glad that there was only 1 rainy day Reception did give me ideas on where to eat and I found a nearby Italian restaurant which was quite good. I bought some services via the hotel; metro pass (was overcharged for this and not refunded) We regularly used the internet and at 6 euros for our entire stay very economical. The hotel was well situated for the metro and Eiffel Tower. The breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful about facilites for children. However, I wouldn't stay there again despite the competive price (69 euros pernight) and cleaness I love my back too much.

Basic hotel. Good location (e.g. for tennis at Roland Garros and Eiffel tower, Odeon areas etc.) Small room, no a/c and noisy with windows open. Small shower (no bath). Staff helpful. Unlimited internet for 6 euros, only one p/c though. Simple breakfast. Local tv channels only.

This is a good little hotel at a reasonable price. The rooms are small (alhtough I believe this is normal for Paris). The shower was a bit small and my husband couldn't reach the soap after he dropped it. The lift was only slightly larger, but the staff were helpful, breakfast filling and it was only 10 minutes walk to the Eiffle Tower. Our 3 year old son was free (we bought a sleeping bag and sleeping mat with us). I recommend the place for the price.

This was our first time in Paris and our first stay at Idéal. We were not greeted warmly upon arrival and were made to wait at reception desk while the male receptionist went about his business on the computer. The room was VERY small and awkward to move around in. Bathroom was also VERY cramped. Hotel is too small and dark.

Small rooms but very clean and functional; stairs and elevator are not in the bets condition but there is a friendly and helpful staff, free wirelss network (hotel lobby and a couple of floors up only) or Internet work station in the hotel lobby. Very, very nice location between the Seine and the "Champ de Mars" (Eiffel Tower, Ecole Militaire, etc.)

Although I had a short stay at the hotel, it was a pleasant surprise. The hotel has a good location and has good restaurants nearby. The room was small but clean and the bed was comfortable. Even the bathroom amenities was good with complimentary soap, shampoo and even lotion. The hallway and the elevator was too small, though, so it might be a problem if you have a big luggage. The breakfast was reasonable for 5euros. Overall, it was good value for my money.

Its a small hotel but with very friendly and helpful Staff. Its clean and tidy in a good location. There are some typical good french restuarants close by. The Linos Bistro is quite superb! Breakfast is simple but ok. It was our first time to Paris and definately not the last! We would have no hesitation to stay at the Ideal hotel again!
