Adequate for a Short StayI only stayed for one night and can't complain about what you get for the price.Friendly staff, but the rooms are dated, I wouldn't recommend the Ibis for a long stay but for one night it is adequate.

Visiting family on a budget. Required twin bed accomodation near Plympton and the City Centre which the Ibis location fulfilled. Hotel is pleasanty quaint, in fact I would liken it to an American style Motel. It is excellent value at under fifty pounds a night for a twin room,which are no frills with smallish beds which never the less are comfortable ( take an extra pillow as only one supplied), bathroom was clean, free sat TV, coffee and tea facilities available in room.

Easter stay at the Ibis 2009put the post code into my sat nav as not been back to Plymouth for a long time, it took me to the Ford garage!!!! The hotel has easy access, good parking, nice layout and very friendly staff. The guy who checked me in with the blond hair and the cold, was very nice and friendly. The only comment would be that the rooms are quiet open to noise, could here the 'loud exhausts' going past and someone had left an alarm on for 7am in an adjoining room which was a bit of a pain. On the whole, it was a good stay and would stay again. The menu looked appetising and it was just other plans that prevented us from eating here. Cab into the Barbican was only £7.50 - would stay again, all staff were great

Room very noisy, no double glazing, quite close to major road. Decor shabby looking Staff on check in and reception good. Chef very welcoming but having to do everything so had to wait quite a long time for food. Food quite ordinary, all pre-packed and reheated.

For a cheap over night stay this was great. We arrived on the ferry from Roscof about 9.00 pm and arrived at the hotel about 10.00pm. Rang the hotel for directions, very helpful. as was the receptionist on arrival. The hotel is basic, clean, tidy. late vacation of the room was a bonus, as was breakfast available until midday. When using the ferry service to france, this is an ideal overnight stop over.

very friendly staff from welcome to departure. It's a motel style, but fairly well screened from dual carriageway traffic.

I couldn't find the hotel & had to ring and the directions were really good. V.friendly guy on Reception who greeted me like a lost friend! However, the rooms are awful and are in dire need of refurbishment. Decorated in orange and green, there are horrible stains on the threadbare carpet and some rather dubious marks in the bathroom. However, the bedlinen was clean and the flat screen TV was a nice touch. I didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food quality but there were quite a few people in the restaurant both for dinner and again in the morning for breakfast so I'm assuming it must be fairly good.
