Good value hotel. Close to Victoria markets (real markets) and a short walk to most places. I would stay there again.

Had a great stay thanks heaps

The hotel itself was fine, and the reception staff were really good, however the restaurant was less than satisfactory. We stayed for a 'buffet dinner' one night, and the food was appauling, and had clearly sat there for hours. The chef walked past the bay marie many times, and not once tended to the food. Was very disappointing.

Overall satisfied wif the location.

Value for money, nice clean rooms, very helpful staff. Only grouse really was the shower head, it cannot be turned and it is mounted very close to the wall and at about 6' height.. impossible for a 6'5 guy to enjoy a good shower. Ernst

i thought the restaurant there could do a lot better in its food. it was basic food not done very well. all other aspects of Ibis was excellent

We found our apartment comfortable and enjoyed the view from the top floor. The food was also nice and reasonably priced. The location was very central so we could walk to most places. We were disappointed we could not park our car on the premises but had to park it a distance away and pay extra for parking and also that we could not go out onto the balcony as the door was bolted closed.

Ibis Hotel Melbourne is located at a strategic location that easy to move around in City areas.
Date of Stay:

I found the Ibis staff to be very courteous and friendly... parking was the only issue, as we had to walk quite away.. if we had been offered valet service, we would have found this more acceptable.. overall we enjoyed a pleasant stay.

The Ibis hotel was excellent and a great place to stay in Melbourne.

This hotel was excellent, close to the Markets and the Zoo. good size rooms and excellent service, even when its at 11pm at night. I would highly reccommend and would stay here again

The breakfast here is second rate (price $17.50 pp). The food languishes for far too long in warmers and they provide those awful "coffee" machines. The sheets we had on our bed one night were so thin we could see through them.

Meals at dinner-time were very dry and not much variety. Not worth the $22.00 each. The acommodation was clean and comfortable and staff were helpful even though they seem to not have much knowledge of the nightlife entertainment, eg: clubs.

everything was good but the resturant only had a buffet dinner and the choice of food did not really change.
Date of Stay:

Reception staff were very helpful although if you are planning to use a shuttle bus to the airport make sure you book this early otherwise you will pay about $50 to get to the airport. Hotel just a short walk to Victoria Market.

Standard rooms are filthy and not usable. Had to upgrade to a renovated room upon arrival at an extra cost of $20/day.
Date of Stay:

If you like shopping at the markets then this is the hotel for you , just a short 100ms? so you can fill up, go unload and then repeat all over again , very helpful staff too.
