i stayed here just for 1 night when i was in melbourne for the weekend. nice tidy room. i didn't have much of a good view out the window though.i looked out to rubbish disposals. nice and handy to southern cross station but not so close to city centre.

I would definitely stay here again when in Melbourne. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the rooms were a great size and very very clean. The Hotel is in walking distance to many of the main sporting attractions and top social venues. I cannot wait to visit Melbourne again and stay with this Hotel

Very handy location for all the attractions on the west end of the Melbourne CBD. Would recommend IBIS to others..

Stayed a couple of nights at this hotel. Very clean, modern. Rooms are small but ""sharp"" looking. Gym on rooftop. Buffet breakfast only, no other meals. Excellent location, right downtown and near sites of interest. 2 blks from free City Tram. Would stay again!

This is a real Boutique Hotel. Small queen-sized room, prefect for short stays for a couple. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the bigger hotels, but it was very clean, modern and modern. Will be happy to stay there again.

Proximity to Skybus terminal and business district is an advantage. My 'double' room was good for one person, but might be a bit small for two.

Overall, the hotel was quite good, walking distance to southern cross railway station and DFO. That area of the street seemed to be a bit run down, especially having to walk past bins and rubbish out in little bourke street wasn't nice. Didn't feel all that safe after dark walking up the street. Room was good, all amenities worked and were clean; room size satisfactory for staying 1-2 nights; trouble with remote to TV at times. Staff very friendly and helpful.

For our purposes the hotel's location was not ideal - but it was close to Spencer Street Railway station. The room was hot even though the controls said 19...and we couldn't get it cooler. The room was not very soundproofed ie we could hear people in the next room and corridor. Staff were polite, friendly and efficient.

No street noise as hotel faces Little Bourke St, and not spencer St. For a budget hotel, can't complain about no mini bar, or no biscuits with the provided basic tea and coffee. Need to enter room card into reader in lift before getting to room which is a good thing, and having to enter card into reader in room is good to save electricity. Need $50 pre authorisation by providing them a credit card, even with the [website] voucher is a pain, as the pre authorisation has not cleared, its days since checkout. Overall, I am pleased with the hotel's standard.

Rooms very small, bar not open. Too far away from centre of city, long walk. OK if going to Telstra Dome or Convention Centre. Not much in the way of restaurants within close proximity. Staff very friendly. Price would have to be less for me to stay there again.

Service was pretty average. We weren't advised that the room key also operated the lifts. The size and prices of the lockers should be available at the service desk. Room service menu could have a fresh pizza. Frozen pizza doesn't go well with Melbourne's reputation for fine cuisine. A toasted cheese and tomato sandwich is more appealing. Overall not bad.
