Perfect location. Room nice and quiet even though facing Victoria Street.

The hotel was very nice - very clean and tidy room. The only negative was that one of the glasses in our room was dirty - not a big deal though. It was quiet all night and we had a lovely view of the river from the room. The breakfast was beautiful - I fully recommend paying the extra cost for the buffet. We really enjoyed our stay at the Ibis.

I chose the Ibis on the basis of $99 per night and was very taken aback to find that there is no free parking. Valet parking was offered at $15 a day, or alternatively a discounted rate at the Sky City at $10. Parking on the street was not really an option. The cost of parking was not obvious when I was checking rates, and nor when I made the booking. I did take the offer of Valet parking and my car was available when I asked for it, so the service in that respect is excellent. However, if I had known I would have chosen the more convenient hotel nearer the airport, and saved myself the cost of parking. IN general though, check in and check out was excellent and the rooms immaculate.

room was clean, bed was good and comfortable. Staff were curtious and helpful, and very attentive to our needs. Nice deck looking over the river. Walking distance to lots.

A new hotel, very well sited in the centre of the city. Restricted parking at hotel - full during my visit so directed to park at nearby Sky City parking $10 overnight. Room was adaquate in size, wardrobe just a hanging space. You should not expect luxury at Ibis. Desk area small and no table lamp so not set up for business men. Breakfast good. Good jogging along river bank path.

We enjoyed Ibis Tainui however, the bar staff were average. The reception staff were very good. Hence my reply good for above. The men were very good as well couple young girls need a little more training. Otherwise I will stay there again. This was my 2nd time there.
