It's a great hotel for the package price. I would receive only 1 or rarely 2 towels each day. The glasses in the room were not replaced and the old ones not even moved. The staff lacks knowlege regarding their own hotel and are not helpful with tour arrangements; they will tell you that they don't know or don't do this/that. A computer can be rented a few doors away for $3 a half an hour and everything is in Spanish. I lost time trying to translate. You will enjoy the beach and the beautiful hotel pools with the inside bars. The jacuzzi is out of the way. Make reservations at the restaurants as soon as you arrive, the food is much better there. There is a dance club next door but it stays empty; some of the nightly entertainment shows are nice. If you get a chance, take the Funny Monster Safari tour. It's lots of fun and you get to go to the mountains and also see how local families live (home visits), do coffee and tropical fruit tasting, go horseback riding, see a sugarcane field and a cigar making demo. You will also be able to swim in the macao public beach-it's beautiful! Have your swimming clothes on b/c there is no restroom onsite. Make sure you negotiate the cost of the trip, we got it for $60 instead of the $95 they were asking for. Try to go on a good sunny day like we had. They give you drinks along the way and it takes about 7 hours. Take school supplies with you to give to the children in need (if you can); they really appreciate the items.

I loved it. Only 2 things I can think of that could use improvement....More towles for the rooms and more variety of food from day to day. I had to look for things to critisize. I had a wonderful time and the staff were all very happy, helpful and kind. Thank you for making our first trip a great one.

At first I was scared to go to and allinclucive since I had never been to Punta Cana, But to my surprice we all had a great time. Im talking about four years ago, we made many friends from different countries and all this negative reviews that some people write about europiens are not true, well some of them could be o.k, we have our friends . This year we went with a co-worker of my wife,my wife and myself we had the best time you could imagen. Once again as we set foot in the hotel everyone who made friends at the hotel came to say hello and welcome us with open arms ( meaning the staff ) their was a lady that was our room maid and as she saw us going to our room she was asking us if we were going to be in the Ocean Villas since thats were she was station to work,I felt bad because we were staying in the court next to her, she said dont worry my sister is there so you will be taken care of. This to us means a lot. Once again I already made my reservations for August 1 thru August 14 2008, and I cant wait to get back home since thats how I feel when Im at IFA VILLAS BAVARO.

We went to IFA Villas Bavaro Resorts; hotel was OK but we would NOT go back due to the following reasons: 1) Beach was far from the resort and transportation/accomodation was NOT provided to guests; very long walk. 2) Food was not that great, compared to other resorts we have visited. Please change your cheff. 3) We had to get a room upgrade and pay extra since the room were very uncomfortable. 4) Evening shows/entertainments were not that great; not too much variety However, we loved the pools, very beautiful and pleasant palm trees all over the complex, clean and staff were very nice and helpul. However, I would not go back and the main reason is that the beach is too far from the resort and the food was not that great.

I would not stay again at the IFA Villas Bavaro Resorts again maintly due to the following reasons: 1) Transportation/Accomodation from the resort to the beach was NOT provided to customers; it was a very long walk from the resort to the beach. 2 We didn't like the FOOD-not too much variety of food and the taste was not that great at times too spicy, salty etc. 3) Evening shows were NOT that entertaining in comparison to other resorts we have visited. The same IFA employees would entertaint/ participate everynight instead of having outside performers. 4) Rooms (regular) were not too accomodating and therefore, we had to pay extra money in order to get a nicer room. Bathroom too small, bed uncomfortable etc. However, we LOVE the pools, complex was nice and clean and staff members were very nice, pleasant and helpful. We love all the palm trees around the complex very nice.

this place has no Disco it burned down a while back ,There isnt much to do after 11pm ,unless you want to take a bus to disco,s outside and pay $* to get in and $* a drink .I stayed at Barcello Bavaro next door in march of this year which was much beter. Nicer cleaner room's .... All rooms are close to the beach .Ifa Bavaro it is a hike to get to the beach unless uou pay an extra $8 per person to get a beter room closer to the beach ,which they dont tell you till you get there . Mexican restaurant sucks It is a buffet ,However the Carribean restaurant is good.Any questions please feel free to call me Jay 516 410 9286, They charge you for a safe which you have to have. And they do not charge you that in the hotel next door in Barcello Bavaro.
