This is a great hotel in an EXCELLENT location. It's beautiful with excellent service. The hotel pool was great for our kids and they loved the room service. Our entire experience was excellent.

I liked the Vu Lounge and the service I received there. As well as the Ipod radio in my hotel room. The bathroom door was in issue. Too small? I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt. It was located right on the river from in center of historic Savannah, which put me close to everything! The view from my room overlooked the riverfront and river street. The beds were firm and comfortable for my back. The in room Ipod radio was a plus since I like to listen to music a lot. I ate in the Vu Lounge for less than $30 which was great! The service there was personal which was cool since I was traveling alone.

We were within walking distance to all of the Old Town Savannah attractions. A great day capped off with dinner at Paula Deen's Lady and Son's Restaurant.

Stay was ok, but did not get type of room booked - King/ non-smoking, was instead substituted for a hospitality suite (business meeting room with murphy bed). Opted to change that to a double std room which was ok, but not great. Staff was very accommodating though, such as they could be with an overbooked condition.

We liked the way the hotel felt to us and we also like the closeness to the river area. This hotel was in walking distance to just about everything. Overall we truly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt and plan on staying there in the future.

Our family stayed for two nights over the 4th of July weekend. The location was perfect for viewing the fireworks over the river. Because of the crowds outside the hotel and in other restaurants, we decided to eat/drink at the hotel's Vu lounge. What a disaster this turned out to be. The lounge was totally understaffed with bartenders and waitresses. The kitchen could not handle the volume. We waited 3 hours to get our food order. It took the waitress 2 hours to tell me that the kitchen ran out of chicken and would I like something else. When the food finally came my son's hamburger was cold, my alternate choice was mediocre. Granted, the manger was very understanding and did not charge us for the food. The situation was so bad that you had to laugh or go crazy. Total chaos!! Since the fireworks are on the river every year and the hotel is on the river, it should not have come to a surprise that MANY people would be using the lounge to eat and drink while watching the fireworks. The staff was overwhelmed. Other than that, the rest of our stay was good. Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast buffet. The parking fee was around . No street parking available. Despite the above experience, we would stay there again.

You certainly pay for the location. Was disappointed that the room rate did not include parking; that was an additional 18 a night. Hotel lobby was nice but the rooms were a bit run down, eventhough the describtion stated that there had been a recent remodel.

Everything was wonderful. I enjoyed myself very much.

Conveinently located downtown. They charge $18 for parking. That significantly added to the price of the night stay. The hotel is nicely located downtown, but they charge $18 for parking regardless of the length of your stay.Be prepared for southern hospitality which means everyone is very friendly but no one moves very fast or responds well if you are in a hurry.

This hotel is in a great location. You can park your car and forget it. Access to River Street district with fun shops, neat restaurants and a wonderful view of the Savannah River. The trolley comes right by the hotel and will take you on a fantastic tour of the historical parts of the city. The Hyatt staff was wonderful, attentive, and informative. The room was very nice, clean, and quiet plus we had a great view of the river. We will retun to this hotel on our next trip to Savannah!

This was a great hotel to stay at with regard to location, it was very clean, and the personnel were friendly and helpful. There were only two things that I was disapointed with 1) There was not a refrigerator or microwave in our room, so all the leftovers couldn't be stored or eaten. & 2) We were not aware that the parking was required to be valet, so was an extra $18/day.

On River Street. Parking expensive. Very friendly staff and ready to help and answer questions.

Hotel had dirty carpets, both in the rooms and the hallways. Windows were absolutely filthy. Standards for cleanliiness appeared to be extremely lax. .Bathroom was extremely small. Hair dryer had a 15 inch cord making it impossible to use. Breakfast prices were high. Valet parking is the only parking option at 17 per day. We left a request for a 3:30 am wake up call as we had a 6 am flight. We never received that wake up call. Very disappointing stay. I would not recommend it to anyone.

For the price that this hotel charges, I found it very insulting that I had to pay 9.95 per night for wireless service. Granted, I could have chosen not to use the wireless, but I was working. I feel that this should be included in hotel rates at these prices. I will choose another hotel, perhap not in this location, next time. There are plenty of other hotels.

The staff was great from the start to end. Location was right on the river and we never had to drive to a nice restaurant or candy store, all were in walking distance.
