I have stayed at Hyatts around the country and have always been a satisfied customer. When we arrived at the hotel I was shocked to find that I was expected to either pay $23 a day for valet parking or park my car 3 blocks away in a public parking lot and pay $3 a day. Even for paying guests, the hotel does not provide any free parking. Now, I have been all over and have never encountered this before, I was absolutely appalled. The parking issue aside, the staff at this Hyatt was absolutely awful. The alarm clock in our room was broken and when we called down for assistance, it took them over 1.5 hours to come up. (We left the room at that point so who knows how long it actually took them). When we returned to our room at 4:30 to get ready for dinner, our room still had not been cleaned. By this point my friends and I were so disgusted with the non-existent hospitality that we just tracked down a maid and retrieved fresh towels. Our room never was cleaned. All of the staff that we encountered was rude and lacked customer service skills. I did not feel like a guest in this hotel, I felt like a burden to the employees. On a brighter note, the rooms at this Hyatt were very nice, very clean & recently remodeled. I was very satisfied with the room itself, however the hospitality that the hotel lacked will prevent me from ever staying there again.

My husband and I needed a couple days away from the real world, this hotel was great. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Abundance of friendly staff to help you. We will stay here again.

The exercises room was fantastic! Only valet parking. I would stay here again. I would not recommend it to people with children as there was not a swimming pool.

Parking is a problem. It is not included with room and this was not disclosed by Travel online. When an event, such as a ball game occurs parking at hotel is full. Parking at Hotel typically cost an extra 22 per day. This was Valet parking only. You end up waiting for the valet. Another parking garage is a block away and the hotel has an arraingement for 16 a day where you park and walk over to hotel. If stay is over a weekend this is probably not worth the cost. Parking at this garage is 4.00 per period. Hotel room was nice but small and no recliner/easy chair. Hotel is close to Arch which is about a block away. Ball park is about 3 blocks away.

we took in two cardinal baseball games, walked to the arch, to LaCledes Landing, ate at the spaghetti factory, took the stadium tour. The Hyatt was a perfect location. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at the Hyatt.

Decor. Not allowed to handle own luggage. Top notch facility, very upscale interior. I was not permitted to handle my own baggage however, and this was very annoying. After insisting to handle my own baggage and speaking with the manager I got to load my own car. I understand that this is an upscale hotel but I prefer to handle my own luggage. They also get you on the parking. You have to park at their garage in order to be allowed to unload at the hotel itself and that costs $25 and you can't even park your own car. You have to hand over the keys to your vehicle to a stranger who then drives off to a nearby garage. There is no other option if you wish to unload at the hotel.

This hotel was very disappointing. The only good thing about it is its close proximity to the Gateway Arch which is right across the street. For starters, the hotel is in need of some serious renovations. The lobby smelled musty like someone had taken a dirty mop across the floors. When we went into our room, the bathroom light did not work. I came with my wife and two kids, yet the room only had two towels. All of the furniture in the room was very old. There was also no way to control the temperature inside the room. The hallways looked very average. To sum it all up, the hotel falls far below what I would expect from a Hyatt.

Nice modern design to the rooms. As to be expected in downtown hotels, the rooms were a bit small, parking was expensive. Great location, nice rooms, friendly staff.

From the moment we arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful....the view from our room of the arch was beautiful...we felt very pampered and well taken care of...a must place to stay....walking distance to so many places and just all around great.

I was so impressed with EVERYONE on staff with this hotel. Everyone from the check-in to check-out did EVERYTHING in thier power to see that this was a WONDERFUL stay. I was so impressed how professional and friendly each employee was - how seriously they took thier responsibility to meet the needs of thier guests - which made this an OUTSTANDING experience. One note - The HOT TUB area in the pool area was not working for the three days I was there.)

Cleanliness, location, decor. I liked it all - check out was slow, but not a problem. The hotel was beautiful to stay in. Our room had a view of the river and Arch and beautiful park area below. While we did not eat there, a Ruth Chris is opening soon in the hotel and we would definitely put that on our list.

the front desk staff and the rest of the people working in this hotel were very helpful and courteous, there was some kind of mix up as to whether or not i was allowed in the concierge lounge but they never denied me entry. but this was not the hyatt that i am used to! formerly owned by another chain, this building is in need of renovations. mattresses were soggy, drains were slow, and the gym was old. the staff told me that there were some plans for renovations and i recommend that you wait until after that if you are looking for the normal hyatt experience!

My daughter's wedding was held at this hotel and had been carefully planned with the Hyatt staff for months. Reservations were lost for many arriving guests including the bride's. The bridal luncheon was scheduled and no room had been appointed. Throughout all the front desk staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Set up for the wedding was awful. We had to do it ourselves. Again the staff was rude beyond. The coup de grae ...THEY FORGOT TO MAKE A WEDDING CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you are planning an event at the Hyatt Regency Riverfront be warned and be prepared to fight every step of the way. Check and double check and then check again. These people really dropped the ball. Believe me this was a very short synopsis of all that went wrong. I am happy to say my daughter looked beautiful and everyone had a great time despite the incompetence of the staff.
