Did not like that the bathroom floor was not clean, it was sticky to walk on !

It would be good for a four star hotel to provide disposable bedroom sleepers.

Great Hotel from the outside but, Bathroom had a lot of mould. Toilet paper almost empty. Not exactly what you expect for a Hyatt......Would consider going back. Pillows not very comfortable woke up with a sore neck.

We arrived an hour after the service employees went on strike. Still we were greeted and apologized to with a full explanation. The management staff did a good job of checking that we were taken care of. The next day most of the staff were back on the job. There was not an angry face on any of the returning workers. The hotel is attached to a mall which made changing money and getting lower cost meals simple. The metro is in easy walking distance, as is Chinatown and Old Montreal, if your legs can stand the hills. The rooms are quiet most times but there was a fairly loud wedding reception one night. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and the concierge was very helpful. As for security, it is there but not apparent until needed.

We plan to come back again..liked the layout o of the hotel. It really was an excellent stay for the money. The service was incredlble, except for the fact that we could not find a "human" concierge available. I used the computers they had in the lobby to find a restaurant . The hotel served only lunch and breakfast.

Spent the Thanksgiving weekend in Montreal. The Hyatt is one of my favorite hotels because of location. it is right upstairs from a good mall with a IGA grocery store where you can stock up. It is close the the arts center and Chinatown. and has good restuarants near the hotel. For me the location is the prime reason i like the hotel. The hotel itself is not outstanding. the rooms are standard. the elevators are a bit slow. but for the money, it is a good place. It needs to place back into the rooms the minibars.

For the Montreal Jazz festival this is the Hotel to saty at if you want to be at the center of all the major music and concert activities. The lobby of the hotel is 2 stories off of the ground and the first floor is 2 stories above that so unless you're really picky, noise should not be a problem. The hotel is across the street from the Palace De Arts where the major concerts are held and the primary music stages are right out the front door of the Hyatt. The crowds will be constant and thick...but it is a huge festival and if you want to be in the middle of it stay here Many of the musicians will also stay at this location so its also great for people watching and autographs. Your are also at the metro station, the underground shopping center, and the food court all which is a short elevator ride 4 stories down. Hyatt security was everywhere, even haveing a security person on each floor. The only true downside was that the hotel maids union had a strike which started on our next to last day so cleaning got sparse after that but up to that point it had been ok. I dont know if I would stay at this Hyatt for a reg. business trip , but for the Jazz Festival I think its perfect. The latin qtr is a short walk as is china and old town. No need for a car unless you're taking a day trip out of town and the hyatt has a car rental office on site. I would not recommend this hotel for people with pets, children, or with disabilities

We were there for the Jazz Festival and you couldn't have a better location...it was right in front of the hotel. Even though the Festival was right outside, it hotel was quiet. You also had easy access to the mall, with stores and a food court. Very comfortable. Orbitz offered a great deal...hotel was a bargain.

Staff was excellent, friendly. Rooms good size, but all the details of Hyatt were not there -room dusty - room services trays left outside the room for several days. The bathroom is good size - however the lighting in there is terrible - with the shower curtain was very dark. Close to everything.A/C was not too cool had to call for maint on it the last day. Everything was perfect making reservations through Travelocity - no issues - great value compared to direct reservations with the property.

During the 2009 Montreal Jazz Festival I found myself with time to visit the bar, which appeared to be very nice, while I waited on some friends to arrive. However, getting someone to come over to one of the many tables to offer service was nearly impossible. The hotel lost a great deal of revenue by not properly training/supervising the bar's staff.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 days. The beds were EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE (I wanted to pack the pillows and take them with me). The bathroom needed at least another light, it's dark when you close the shower curtain. Staff was extremely helpful with suggestions of activities and assistance with our lost (and never found) luggage. The hotel is centrally located near and walking distance to the Gay Village, the Underground Shopping, The Metro and the Piers in Old Montreal.

My friends and I went here for a bachelor party and it was a perfect location and is in the middle of all the action. This hotel is big and conveinent to everything and the staff was great. I did go to the breakfast buffet they had and it was ok, they had a good variety but I was there at 10 am and everything was picked through and not replenished. If you want an awesome breakfast go to a restaurant attached to the hotel called eggsations....

Great, contemporary hotel in downtown location near museums, theaters, and the 2007 Jazz Festival. Very service oriented hotel with efficient and friendly staff. Loved it.

We were in Montreal for a weekend getaway. We picked the Hyatt because of its reputation and the location. All of Montreal's sights were within walking distance from the hotel or a very short taxi ride if you prefer. The Hyatt staff was very professional and friendly. What a wonderful place to visit!
