The hotel was decent, parking was expensive and we werent expecting it so that turned us off right away.the rooms are alright very outdated. the bathrooms dont have any fans and the beds werent the most comfortable but it was alright. The air condition was on and the room was still very hot, someone changed the vent in our room but it didnt make that much of a difference. I expected more from the Hyatt Name

The location was perfect and beautiful! Valet parking cost $19 dollars they parked it right next to the hotel.

Excellent in all respects. Nice quiet (!) room - most quiet hotel room I've ever stayed in. Helpful staff. All staff - maids, desk, concierge, parking, restaurant - first rate. Really convenient to convention center; parking fees not overly pricey, parking convenient. Ate only breakfasts in the hotel. They were good but not remarkable. Wide buffet variety, hot buffet food acceptable - I came back every day. Last minute registration in a premium room. Certainly no bargain, but definitely worth the price. Most of my conference events were at the Convention center. Those in the hotel were handled well. University Professor aged 60+

Beautiful facility close to the harbor. Staff accomodating but we got confused responses to questions about if, and how, we had to pay for a visiting daughter's car to park. Eating outdoors on the large patio by the pool was a lovely experience. View from our oceanside room included the Queen Mary and the Carnival cruise line. Definitely pay more to be oceanside! Clean and beautifully appointed furnishings. We coul;d walk to the harbor and many restaurants, and the aquarium. Very glad we stayed there.

Location of the hotel was great! We chose this hotel because we were picking up kids the next day from their Catalina trip. Location was perfect for that. The lobby was very nice but the rooms were older. The bathrooms need a overhaul. Other than it being a older property it was nice.

I was in Long Beach for my first time and did all my research on the hotel on travel website. It was more than I could have hoped for! You know sometimes you research and its nothing like the pictures...well this was and more. They greeted me at the door, brought my bags up to the room, continued to ask if I needed anything any time I saw an employee and were extremely friendly. They knew who I was by name after the first day there. The room was modern and had a view of the Queen Mary and sailboats. Right across either street were resturants and stores so you could walk to everything. The metro was right up a little hill and you can take that to downtown LA where they have a great jewelry district! The hotel has a wonderful dining area where they have an extensive breakfast buffet for a reasonable price and you can start your day off right. When I go back in January I will 100% stay here again! Wonderful location, friendly staff, modern amenities and you are treated like a Hollywood star!

Chose hotel because website stated it had a pool and dining room onsite. Well when we flew most of the way across the country we found the pool was not open at all and neither was the dining room. Closed for renovations. This should be stated on the website so one does not have to find out when arriving. Oh yeah and one day the maid FORGOT to clean the room!!

Upon arriving at the hotel, the check-in was fast it was a very pretty hotel. After being given my room number (I had 2 rooms) one of my rooms had some mens clothing hanging and we ran out and immediately reported it to the front desk, a little upset, but the front desk was also surprised that the room was not vacant, they immediately gave me another room, a much larger room and also took $40.00 off of my bill just for the inconvenience, without any hesitation. Since I was a little shook up, one staff member asked if I wanted him to check the room out since he saw that I was a little shook up, I said yes and he accompanied me to the room to make sure everyting was okay and apologized again for any problems. Now I was very pleased. And the beds were so comfortable, slept like a baby.. I have been recommending it every since. I was there on May 8, 2009.. My family loved it also.

Location, open lobbies, nice feel to facility Parking fees per day Nice Hotel, friendly staff, nice rooms, a bit noisy with sound coming into room from hallways. Good location in center of Long Beach. Parking at $16 a day was a surprise, not welcomed. Hotel is clean, a bit dated, but good value.

We were impressed with the level of service--we got to the restaurant after 11a (when they normally stop serving breakfast) and they accommodated our request for breakfast anyway--the oatmeal was delicious!

Location, had all facility you might need, and within walking distance of many of the harbor attractions. The check in/out was understaffed, long wait and automated check out didn't work.

In general, I am glad to have stayed here. All criterias went above expectations EXCEPT rude and sarcastic front desk girls who lack basic courtesy and respect for their guest.

My restroom was not cleaned well for 2 days. And the towels were avg low hotel quality, not what i would expect of a 4 star hotel. But the location was excellent. Could not have asked for a better location. My breakfast was excellent. I had the pancakes, eggs, bacon and OJ. Staff was very friendly as well.

Ocean view. It was a great hotel with friendly service and a beautiful view. I would love to stay again.

Since our children are 8 and 12, we felt they needed their own beds and space. The hotel gave us a great deal - almost 1/2 off - for a second, adjacent room for our kids.

The location was just wonderful, if it wasn't within walking distance there was the "free" red buses to take you most anywhere in the area. There were lots of eating places and shops plus all the site seeing attractions. I wish we would have had more time to spend in the area.

Comfort of the room, great pool hours, friendly staff. No internet in room unless you have t-mobile, charging for computer access is high. The Hyatt has very comfortable rooms and is well-situated to attractions like the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Pike. Parking is convenient and inexpensive. The food choices within the hotel are of excellent quality, if not a little pricey. A great hotel for couples looking for a get-away, but not necessarily kid-friendly: few kid channels, no kid price for breakfast buffet, no kid activities.

The hotel charges very high rates and doesn't even provide wifi internet service. There's also no fridge, no microwave and no real applicable ammenities. The hotel also charges if any of the miniature creams are taken from the bathroom.
