Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff, the room was terrific, very spacious and comfortable. We spent the afternoon at the fitness center/pool,then it was back to the romm to get ready for a night out. There are several excellent restaurants within walking distance ( and shopping of course )so need need to take the car out. Have fun!

Clean and courteous. Not easily accessible. Only stayed one night and didn't use any of the facilities, but the room was clean, the staff were courteous, and we didn't have any issues during our stay.

I was attending a meeting at the Hyatt Regency and I was surprised how beautiful the hotel was. The service was exceptional, everyone so helpful and the food in the Catch restaurant was amazing! Apparently they fly in fresh seafood daily from the coast. The workout room has all the latest equipment with a view of the city and mountains on a clear day. I could have worked out all day. The room was well laid out with large flat screen tv's, brand new beds, and convenient outlets on top of the desk and by my bedside table to plug in my computer and blackberry. It is perfect to not have to crawl under furniture looking for an outlet. This hotel is one of the best I have stayed in Canada and next time I am in Calgary, I will definitely stay at the Hyatt Regency.

The hotel overall is good. But you have to pay hefty internet access fee, which is unfriendly for a 4-star hotel. Plus, the construction around the hotel is really problematic.

This a good, although expensive, hotel for business trips to Calgary. Staff is very attentive and friendly.

Did not like the parking fee $25 self park or $35 valet parking. No continental breakfast. Lots of bums on the streets near Hotel.

We stayed at the Hyatt in Calgary the beginning of September 2008. The facility was beautiful, located very conveniently downtown and right off the main street that is closed to vehicles during the day, so it is very pedestrian (and tourist) friendly. Our room was clean, neat, comfortable - we enjoyed it very much.

From staff greeting to departure, this hotel was delightful. Uncompromising service. Breakfast buffet a bit pricey, as is valet car park but that's to be expected in a major metro area if you want the convenience of easy in/out. And it was. Everyone in Calgary was courteous. I would however suggest caution on very early morning walks/runs as there is a fair amount of vagabonds. But this is certainly not the hotel's fault but an issue in the city. Not to deter from a wonderful vacation, although too short.

For our 1 day stay in Downtown Calgary, the Hyatt offered a convenient location. We walked along the 8th Ave Mall, to the Eau Claire Festival Market Place, Prince Island Park, and to great restaurants.

Comfortable bed and nice amenities. Hard to get to but no fault of the hotel. There was a lot of construction going on then.

Hotel is brand new, nice pool, clean rooms, nice furnishings, big bathroom, good service, nice workout facitliy, right in the middle town within steps to the Calgary Tower. Great rate for a high class hotel.

The rooms are very nice, the hotel is well-decorated, but they charge you extra for EVERYTHING! Even internet access. Ridiculous in such an upscale hotel. Parking is 18 a night!!! Geez!

The room size was excellent and the hotel was well maintained throughout! The staff was extremely accommodating from the minute we arrived to check-in. Our room was ready on time, and although they did not have the room we had requested, they were quick to upgrade us to a room on one of their club floors. The gym and swimming pool area was still in it's new condition - it was clean and well maintained. The location was ideal as well - one block away from Calgary tower, an entrance right on Stephen Ave for shopping, and right near a CTrain stop which made getting around downtown so easy. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Calgary!

Central location, friendly, and warm. Every thing about my experience was positive except for our child who did not sleep through the night, which had nothing to do with the hotel. The night clerk was able to get me some milk at $5:00 in the morning which was excellent.

Central, quiet and comfortable. Parking was dirty from gravel and sand, brunch was not of an expected quality.

Very elegant room, Friendly and professional staff. Expensive parking, expensive bottled water. Small bathtub. Very nice, newly renovated rooms. Beautiful pool and health club areas. Very nice linens. Excellent front desk and concierge service. We have a large vehicle which didn't fit in their underground parking ($20/night). We had to use their concierge service ($35/night) which was convenient but expensive. They require you to order bottled water through the desk, so bring your own. It was a beautiful place to stay and we were very impressed. Definitely recommend this hotel (already have to friends and family).
