Date of Stay: July, 2009

The staff at this hotel did not try to accomodate us at all. In general they were to us and you didn't feel like you were a customer. In addtion, the hotel is just not that nice. The lobby is old and outdated. No parking available and they were not helpful when I asked where to park. Lastly, my wife and I were given a room with double beds, when we booked and on two different occasions asked for a king.

Very dirty hotel, the carpet made my white socks black on the bottom, they discriminate against you if you are not one of the famous people staying there, you are not treated equally. they don't validate parking and it's $14 a day and it's all the way accross the street. I'd call first, don't stay if an NFL team is there, they get treated like kings and you get ignored

The lobby is very nice and modern now, but the rooms were rather bland--peeling wallpaper, old TV sets, and my bed was very comfortable but did not have a dust ruffle or cover--there was nothing covering the box springs. The location is great though, I was in business at one of the federal buildings and was only a block or two away.

The Hyatt is certainly what a taste of Buffalo is like. Friendly people, and helpful. I would certaily stay here again. I went there to experience a Taste Of Buffalo, the food and the entertainment. It was great. Thanks Hyatt Regency.

Clean and quick check in. Did not have a parking lot and/or free parking or complimentary breakfast.

Upon entry to our hotel room it was not cleaned! The bathroom had cigarette ashes on the floor, on the toilet and a cigarette butt in the toilet bowl. The beds do not have coverings so you see the box spring (very unattractive). The entire floor (and we were on two after being moved to a supposedly "clean" room had a strong odor of mold and the carpets in the entire hotel were dirty, and completely stained. The beds look like hospital beds and the box springs show (we were told this is their "new beds". Tacky, tacky tacky (however, they were comfortable albeit the pillows are like huge lumps of cotton) It looks and smells like a hotel that has been there 100 years with no maintenance. I understand they're renovating but until that is done, this hotel is awful. Also, there is NO parking. You must park down the block in a garage and the hotel charges more than the garage does! It should be noted Comfort Suites down the street has their own designated parking in the garage. Why a Hyatt wouldn't is beyond me. The only positive thing I can write about this hotel is the food in the dining area was good (Harriett's) and the wait staff was excellent.

First the positive: The hotel is beautiful! Very clean. And the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The beds are so comfortable. Now the negative: The area is in a block by block safety region. So be very careful. Also, you can hear every door slam and the noise in the hallway. And lastly, I was very disappointed that the business center computers were only available with a fee of $5 for the first 10 min and $0.50 every min there after. All of the other places I have stayed have had a computer with internet that was free. If you bring your computer and want internet, plan to pay around $13 a day. An inconvinience to say the least. Thankfully a library was just around the corner.

Great location. Right downtown. Arrived late, was not thrilled that parking was in a garage across street - no valet. Did not feel safe - but probably was okay.Bed looked warped. Room is clean, but needs renovation. Went to gym that was "free", but left as equipment was not adequate (broken, old). Went walking instead, but probably should have used fitness facility at hotel.

This stay was different from many other hotels that I have stayed in the past because, the service was very much so friendly and they were patient people. Very well mannered. I loved the area it was in. It was very convenient for me. The room was enjoyable and spacious. Everything was just perfect and unforgetable.

Greeting was pleasant. The computers at the front desk were down when we arrived, so the clerk offered us complimentary drinks at the bar which we gratefully accepted. The computer problem only lasted for about a minute, but we received our vouchers regardless of this. Our room, with a firm king size bed and lots of big over-stuffed pillows, was quite large, clean and well-appointed. The only negative aspect was that we awoke to the realization that we were still in Buffalo.

Beautiful rooms with all amenities. Hot water was very unreliable, temperature control was unreliable. Good location, great comfort, good overall value. Not happy with the lack of consistent hot water and heat.

The room was clean and nice but room service was WAY too expensive. Another negative is there is no parking nearby. You have to walk to a lot and pay extra; inconvenient.

Check in was very easy and the hotel itself was easy to find. Parking was available right across the street, the bed was extremely comfortable and the restaurant at the hotel was convenient and good.

Truffles and bottle of wine for our anniversary was very thoughtful. Bar/lounge atrium was beautiful. The hotel was conveniently located. There is no parking on premises but the staff was very helpful in assisting us in finding appropriate parking. The staff was very pleasant and professional. The room was spacious and attractive. We did not get a chance to enjoy the bar or restaurants but they were beautiful. Overall, we had a great experience.

We stayed in a corner room on the third floor with a king-size bed. The view from the windows was good, considering we weren't up very high. The room was very large for two people, but the lack of overhead lights left most of the room too dark when the sun wasn't shining. The room service was good, and the cleaning staff did a great job (except they didn't give us tissues until our final day). The location was good if you want quick access to 190 and I-90 and the downtown area. We did have a minor parking issue. We received cards to give to the parking garage attendants across the street, which was the only place to park, since there were three feet of snow on the ground, hiding all the street parking. (Also, I'm not sure if you can park on the street all night.) We were informed by one particular attendant several times that unless we were in and out of the garage more than twice a day, during the week, the hotel fee was a rip off (because each time leaving the garage itself charged us half the hotel rate). It was simpler for us to just use the passes and pay the hotel fee, but we probably could have saved money just paying each time we left the garage, since we typically only left once a day to go to my parents' house. Overall, the experience was very good.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They were at our service from the moment we entered the building. The bar in the atrium was a great place to spend the evening and the fitness facility was fantastic.
