The exit procedure from this hotel was AWFUL! You have to take one elevator down to the lobby (2nd floor) and a second elevator down to the street level. You will spend half your time waiting for elevators. Half the time, several of the elevators were out of service which further complicated matters. This was an awful experience for me (business traveler). Lots of loud singles partying into the night.

It was centrally located and many attractions were within walking distance. The scent in the hotel was too strong. Parking fee of $43 was too expensive.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable bed. Will definitely stay there when next in Boston.

Will never stay again!! Birthday weekend celebration was ruined except for great Boston restaurants--Craigie on Main and Stella. First room was unbearalbly hot 77 degrees with window open and maintenance couldn't fix, so had to downgrade from corner room with king to small room with two doubles and had to move at midnight. After packing up and moving to second room, the heat/cooling not working in that room either and maintenance had to be called to fix. House keeper in the am just flipped over the topper and remade the bed. Rooms are ugly, paint chipped, even the bar downstairs is worn. I guess Hyatt isn' t what it used to be.

This was a nice hotel. Very close to the T train which was very convient for us since we didn't have a car. The staff was helful with anything you wanted to know. I have say, the bed was awsome after a long day of walking around. We will come back again.

My wife and I visited Boston for a 4 night, 5 day trip in March 2009. We had never been to Boston before, and as visitors, location was key. We weren't renting a car and wanted to be close to everything. The Hyatt Regency is located in the heart of the theater district. It is a 5 minute walk to Boston Commons and another 5 minutes to Beacon Hill and the bar that inspired the sitcom "Cheers." It takes 15 minutes to walk to Fanueil Hall and the market, and maybe another 5 minutes to get to the fabulous North End restaurants. The Hyatt is close to T stops (the subway), shops and other attractions. It is in a safe neighborhood and close to everything. The hotel itself has obviously been renovated in the last few years. I travel quite extensively for business, and can attest that this hotel is GREAT for business (meeting rooms, business center, workout gym, etc) AND vacation purposes. My wife and I loved the comfortable bed and warm, comfy rooms. The showers were huge with great water pressure. No complaints about the room at all. The Conceirge desk is manned by knowledgeable and helpful staff members and we followed their advice often. EVERY SINGLE PERSON at the HYATT was exceptionally polite and completely devoted to our satisfaction. The Doormen and Bellmen were professional, polite, happy and totally concerned about providing us a quality stay. We won't stay anywhere else when we go to Boston. Only a few negatives. The business center offers internet, but at 50 cents per minute. Kind of felt nickel/dimed on that. Also, the breakfast at the hotel restaurant is expensive ($26) and quite honestly, not good. Skip it and go to Zaftigs in Brookline.

This is a nice hotel with good service, especially with any requests I made, such as asking for a quiet room away from the elevators and getting an extended checkout time without fee. Housekeeping was very good as well. The location is nice as far as being able to walk around to Faneuil Hall, the aquarium, the harbor, Newbury Street, Copley Square, Chinatown, and basically where ever I was headed to. Located close but not too close to subway stations made it easy to get around when I didn't want to walk. The doormen were good, and security seemed decent; there is no street level access to room floors. The bed was nice, room decent sized, and the bathroom fine. While I didn't expect it, for some reason the free in-room coffee was very good! The view out the window wasn't much to write home about but that was probably due to my particular room. Didn't try room service as there are plenty other places to eat a short walk away. The pool and health center were acceptable though on the small size. Nice bar and lobby area. Only complaint would be that it is very pricey which is somewhat expected for a downtown hotel in a big city; however, the prices in Boston seem inordinately high. I had a pleasant stay and would consider staying here again depending on the rate.

We were out touring all day, but found the doormen an consierge very friendly and professional as we came and went. They made us feel welcome and at home. The door men were especially good at recognizing us and giving us directions and help as we went on our way.

I stayed here a few weeks before Christmas 2008. Check in I believe was sometime mid-afternoon. I arrived around 11AM, couldn't check in because it was too early, which I was fine with. So I spent the day in Boston, came back around 6:30PM, and there were "no rooms available." It wasn't that they were full, they just hadn't cleaned them all. I said a little more than "Are you serious?" but I need to change for an outing at 7:30PM. I was instructed all I could do was go into the fitness room/locker room and change into my dress clothes. First of all, that is just humuliating. I was on a "waiting list" for rooms to be ready about 15 people long. They were to call me when a room was ready--they called me at 8:15PM. How RIDICULOUS is that? I had less than 12 hours at my room, as I had to leave early in the morning. I was VERY unhappy, but management wouldn't do anything. I was sent a survey and I asked specifically for management to contact me and guess what, they didn't. Obviously they have staff or management problems. I felt bad for the front desk clerk, as she was having to tell everyone while the manager hid out in the back room. Room was decent other than multiple light bulbs out and smell of smoke in a non-smoking room. Door attendants were VERY nice and helpful though. Never again.

I came here with my 13 year old daughter very wary of staying on the edge of Chinatown but the service and security were excellent. Conceirge personnel and front desk were exceptional. Fitness center and pool are very nice. Food in the dining room is quite expensive but tasty. We really enjoyed the excellent view from our room and were so close to everything we walked almost everywhere. I will stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone.

All the staff were very kind towards us. The hotel was located near to the most important places such as the Common Park, Quincy Market etc. So, although I was in Boston to attend a conference, I can find some time to travel around.

I got a suggestion to stay here using my Gold Awards for 2 nights. During checkout, I was informed that the awards confirmation wasn't valid anymore and got charged a random rate.Staff and Management were totally unhelpful and unwilling during this situation, took no responsibility in mixup.Facilities are in decay, a section between hotel and gym looks like walking in an abandoned hospital. Rooms are also outdated.Best adivise, behare of what you sign during check-in.

Very good for the price and location. Would definitely stay again. The only 2 things: TV remote control was missing and the cofee maker was not working. Would still recommend. The room location was excellent, the room was clean, the staff was very corteous during check-in/out

Good location if you are street wise. Friendly staff. Very expensive for everything. Everything cost to use at hotel. $25.00 per day to use the refrigerator, $42.00 per night to park, $7.00 pr half hr to use old game sys, $10.00 per day to use Wi-Fi, $17.00 for 2 eggs. Walking distance to most things. Easy access to the 'T'. Would look for some place that has free Wi-Fi and parking! There are many in the area. Very easy to get lost in the area. Hotel parking lot was robbed during our stay. Was lucky to visit all the historic places & watch the fireworks on the St. Charles river.
