Great ServiceFrom the moment we entered the hotel we were welcomed with friendly, very helpful staff who ensured that we felt welcome. The hotel room was of a excellent standard and had all the mod cons you would expect from a top hotel. The hotel bar and restaurant were fantastic, we particularly enjoyed the cocktails and the chef special meal. For the gym faciliites were amazing and the spa is worth checking out.

With the bonus of our £25 new member discount from [website] this reservation was reasonably priced for the standard of hotel. If we'd had to pay the usual [website] rate we would have been unhappy with the standard of furnishings in the bedroom & bathroom particularly, dirty tile grouting, panel beneath washbasin coming away from wall, bedroom was furnished adequately but nothing special for this standard of hotel. Concierge & bar staff were particularly helpful & friendly, reception staff were definately not, long slow check-in (30 mins in queue), unsmiling, unhelpful check-in staff... pity with a general room tidy up & some lessons in customer relations for some of the staff this would be a very good hotel. Views from the floor to ceiling windows are great, but ask for city view rather than canal.

The hotel's covered walking bridge that directly connects with the ICC is ideal, especially if the weather is poor. It's a clean, modern and convenient hotel. Easy walk to restaurants and pubs (they are everywhere). Also, easy 7 minute walk to the train station.

I was very impressed with the service once i arrived, the staff at the door explained the parking arrangements and then offered to pick me up from the parking area, which was not far away, however due to the fact that the weather was terrible it was very accomodating.I was also impressed with the fact that my luggage was taken up to my room and put away before I had even finished checking in.Very good service which will always stick in my mind.

I booked the accomodation one month in advanced, when we checked in there was no evidence of the booking made through Laterooms.com the reception was very efficient and apologised for this mistake and took a copy of my booking confirmation. Had a very pleaseant stay ideal location for the NIA and The Canalside

City BreakExcellent standard hotel, staff very professional & courteous. Immaculate condition of the hotel, room & services provided. Consierge in particular was very helpful. Hotel had a number of functions on so was extremely busy but despite this the check in/out was efficient, rooms were well insulated so no noise carried through & I didn't feel I suffered in terms of response time to queries etc.

Fantastic room and excellent serviceFirst of all, let me mention the valet guys. They are all fantastic and so helpful, always greeting you with a smile. Sam especially was tremendous. In fact everyone, from the reception desk to the hotel room cleaners were so helpful and polite. It made for a very enjoyable stay.Room was lovely. Great view of Birmingham (I was on the 18th floor) through the massive windows. Clean and comfortable. TV played up a little, but not bothering me enough for me to say something.Had only one slight negative, I did order room service and it wasnt great. It was edible but wouldnt say it was worth the slightly hefty price tag.I have stayed in a few 4*'s in birmingham and you would be mad not to choose the Hyatt 10 times out of 10. Compared to hotels which are also 4* and 2 mins away this hotel is more of a 5*.

No regrets for having stayed hereBooked through late rooms for 109 quid, for a king room (was 135 to book through the hotel). As promised the room was imaculate, suprisingly spacious and well equipped, the floor to ceiling window gave a fantastic view of the city and canal (almost worth it in itself). I'd looked for 'self catering apartments' for a similar price, this is by no means cheap for a room but it was quality. Ideal location for everything it seems, the NIA was a short walk down the canal, which was lovely and well lit, lots of chain restraunts and outlets to go at too along the way, if thats what you're into. It seemed to be in the heart of the action. The mini bar was well stocked but astronoically priced as you can imagine, but the fridge had plenty of room for ones own wine and water to be chilled, which we took full advantage of. I recommend you stock up and bring you're own treats before you arrive!Car parking was no problem, the 'off site' car park is literally round the corner, just need to drive in to the hotel layby and get a ticket of the valet. (this can be chaotic at times it would seem, but they dealt with us efficiently.)I spent an eternity looking at rooms in Brum, and took a punt on this one, its a 'classic' hotel and was in no way dissapointing for this, there are bigger, funkier, cheaper, more expensive places to go but i'd reccomend this one to anybody who is looking for good old standard quality. Ask for a room high up the building on the canal side, you'll thank yourself
