The Hyatt Hill Country seems to have something for everyone. For families, they have lots of activities for children, from movies on the lawn to making smore's at night by the pit fire. The lazy river and beach area are great for younger kids. But, you really have to be spending time at the hotel to enjoy all of these amenities. Because the location is so close to Sea World and Six Flags, you tend to spend some of the days there and then be too tired in the evenings to enjoy all the hotel has to offer. For adults, they have the adults only pool which is nice for those that have chosen to leave their kids at home. The staff was very friendly and helpful and all-in-all . . . I would recommend this hotel to a friend and will make plans to stay again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was great for families and offered many fun activities for all. The prices for food and some activities (pony rides) were too high. If food prices would have been lower we would have eaten at the resort much more. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The family friendly atmosphere and outstanding customer service were amazing. We'll be going back and using Priceline to book it.

The staff were so courteous and available. Lots to do for families. I loved the kids camp so that I could take in their fabulous spa! The scenery was peaceful and impecably kept. The tubing river was great. A little disappointed my 4yr old discovered just how much garbage the housekeepers missed under the bed. Wasn't impressed with the housekeeping service but everything else was fabulous. Young children even get to eat free at the breakfast and dinner buffets. We all ate 3 desserts!! The first floor room we had came with a little patio and bistro set. We watched the squirrels scurry about every morning! Luxury style with a feel of being surrounded by nature.

Great staff beautiful hotel. Would like more variation on food choice after hours. The Hyatt never fails to impress. I don't have the opportunity or financial means to travel as often as I'd like but I would take any opportunity to run away for a long weekend or longer as the Austin/San Antonio Hyatt Hotels. Great Pool areas, great staff, very nice room.

We stayed over the July 4th holiday -- it was fantastic. Activities every hour, bikes to ride, the beach, the lazy river, volleyball, hiking trails - it goes on and on. The kids wanted to stay "forever." Rooms are comfortable and clean with comfortable beds - great linens - but could use some updating. The hotel itself is beautiful - great porches and welcoming lobby. Lots of walking - the property is huge! If you're coming with the family, bring lots of bathing suits and shorts - that's all you'll need, and you'll spend a lot of time at the pools. Check out the kid camp - Camp Hyatt, I think - if you want to take some time for yourself for gold, tennis, spa or dinner. Our kids loved it. Great service - staff was always helpful and cheerful.

When we arrived our room had been given away in spite of confirming it the day before. We were sent down the street to the Radisson and told to come back the next day. We were spending the weekend with friends so we did come back and stay the second night in spite of the inconvenience. The hotel felt understaffed. Service was friendly but extremely slow. We will not stay here again and risk disappointment as time spent with family and friends is precious. For the price, we expected a better experience. There are many other resorts available.

Great activities for children and great pool. Billing was confusing, food was disappointing for the price paid.

Went with some girls friends. We had a blast. Very posh and very nice hotel. Loved the lazy river. We floated and had drinks all afternoon. Nice restaurants and awesome service. Decor is a Texas ranch vibe and there is a great bar in the hotel with a 30 foot brass rail, video games, large screen tv's, ppol tables, etc. Kids are not allowed in bar at night. Staff is wonderful. Very attentive. Just a really, really nice place and enjoyed it very much.

The pool and grounds were beyond amazing! The vending machines did not work. 1 out of 3 I tried worked. The most amazing place to stay in San Antonio. On the property you could not hear planes or traffic. The hotel was really beautiful and the staff was great. I would suggest anyone going to SA should stay here and if you were not going to SA then plan a trip because it was worth it. The pool and hot tub for adults only was romantic and very relaxing. The pool for the kids and river to float in was really cool also. Perfect hotel in every way possible.

The Hyatt Hill Country is a beautiful property surrounded by a golf course and hill country woods. The property is well appointed and well designed. It is a great place for a quick getaway, romantic weekend or family trip. The pool is very cool and the long lazy river adds fun and interest. The adult pool is quiet when you need to escape the kids. Overall, a great property.

Luxurious. This was a wonderful stay. I would love to stay here again. Very close to Sea World and has fabulous pools for kids or adults.

This is the most family friendly resort in Texas. We stayed here because it was across the street from Sea World. Upon arrival, we checked-in at the front desk, which was quick and courteous, then headed for our room. We had the preferred access room, which means you are within walking distance to the kids’ playground and pool areas. The back doors lead to a patio and the natural trails. The room has all of the usual amenities and it was nice and clean. While in our room, I read the resort’s activity schedule and it turned out there was lots of activities for everyone in the family. Be sure to plan before you arrive so you don’t waste time trying to figure out what you want to do once you are there. The first thing I wanted to do is take my four-year-old son down to the lazy river. He loved it. It was just the right size and there was tons of sand for him to play in, and plenty of kids his age to play with. The swimming areas also had plenty of shade, seating and waitress service to provide drinks. The next morning we decided to try the Camp Hyatt for kids. My son loved the activities and the counselors, which is surprising, because he is very clingy. I think it was the two pet lizards they have in the activity room that kept his interest. We decided to have the breakfast buffet; it was $20 bucks and well worth it for those who eat a big breakfast. If you don’t have a big appetite the buffet isn’t right for you, so you would be better off with the menu items. This resort is designed for the whole family.

The setting was beautiful. It was peaceful and relaxing. Everything was very clean. Everyone was very courteous and attentive. I would like to go back. Nothing. The hotel had a wonderful ambiance. I loved the rustic feeling. The grounds were spectacular! I really enjoyed sitting in the rocking chair looking out into the beautiful grounds. There were hummingbirds and rabbits. I would certainly stay here again and I would recommend highly to my friends.

"This was the first trip with our two kids. It was fantastic!!! Watch out for hidden charges on your bill though! Friendly, curteous staff. Lots to do for the entire family."

Large room/bathrooms. Spacious outside facilities which were kid friendly. I did not appreciate the added resort fee. Loved everything about it. Hope to stay return. Every aspect was wonderful. The room was spacious with warm amenities (tile floor, extra vanity). Beds were comfortable. The layout of the hotel was well planned with easy access to front exit to world and rear exit with access to pool, playground, gardens.

"I found the staff to be very professional at this Hotel. I had called ahead of our stay to arrange a dinner & special rose petal presentation from the door to the bed in the shape of a heart for my wife to celebrate our wedding anniv. along with room service and the works. When we arrived my wife was impressed with the personable service the staff displayed as we arrived. ""It was as though they knew you"" she would say. We enjoyed a five night stay."

The grounds of the facility draw one to the outdoors. It is full of flowers, trees and birds. The bed and pillows were too soft; and the coffee maker didn't work. This resort is appealing to families with children because of the waterway/pool area. The staff is friendly and the grounds are appealing. It is also nestled in a quiet nook of a busy part of San Antonio.

"We had the great fortune to spend '06 Thanksgiving here first to see our son graduate from Lackland Air Force Base training and second in conjunction as a get away retreat for my husband and I. We were not disappointed. The staff was friendly, attentive, and pampering. We returned home proud of our Air Force son and renewed for the 4 week Christmas holiday push. We hope to return just for a vacation."
