Date of Stay: April, 2009

The newer wing of the hotel was definitely the best, and I now understand why they are renovating the complete hotel. The breakfast/dinner area needs a face lift, nothing really attractive. The hotel is located next to Albert Park, a beautiful location for a short walk, in and around the park, and an easy walk into the main part of town where you will find many stores. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, and if you want the best out of the hotel, the new wing with rooms having a balcony, it is the place to stay.

stayed in a residence room - modern decor and very spacious. Did not have time to experience time at the spa, but staff show us though a couple of the spa rooms and gym complex - definately going to do next stay

Hotel has excellent facilities and all staff were a pleasure to deal with, however the older Guest Rooms are getting a little but dated. The furniture and fixtures could do with updating. The shower curtain in the bathroom was a bit old and mouldy smelling and the TV could do with being upgraded to a flat screen. Apart from that, the bed was comfy, the view wasn't too bad and the food was very nice.

Overnighted from the airport. Comfortable room. Wonderful bed! Conveniently located near downtown and adjacent to the university. Easy walking to restaurants and parks (but there are hills). Breakfast included anything you might want. Our only concern that, as swimmers, we would have preferred a warmer pool. We would stay again, especially at the low rate surprising for this nice a facility.

We arrived before check in time, but they found another room for us if we wanted it. It was near the elevator, and they said it may be noisy, but we heard nothing. The staff was very friendly and professional. They were helpful to first time visitors by offering points of interest, providing maps of downtown, arranging shuttle and cab service, and were just generally courteous. The location was perfect., about 3 blocks from Queen Street. It was close, but not so close that it was noisy outside the room. The only real downside was the price of the restaurant food. The breakfsats were good, but very, very expensive. All of the food was very expensive. The room itself was smallish, but nice. Good bed, clean room, all necessary amenities. We stayed on the 9th fllor and never heard anything but the wind and rain. The next time we go to Auckland, I expect we'll stay here again, but eat elsewhere.

Hotel is excellent for service and location. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Have to walk up hill to get from Queen St. to hotel. This hotel is a great value. The room was very pleasant and comfortable.

Lovely room was choosen for us by the excellent reception staff. We recomend you pay the little extra and go for the suites. also enjoy dinner there -very tasty.

The staff was superb. Beds were extremely comfortable and the pool and spa were awesome. If you can get the Regency Club continental breakfast and or'dorves, both are worth it. Location was across the street from the university and walking distance to shopping. (about 20-25 minutes from the Viaduct) We stayed here 2 nights and actually returned from Rotoura for 2 more nights. I have no negatives at all about this lovely hotel and their staff.

Good location, clean. Nice room. Business center is small. This is a nice place to spend a couple of days. Clean rooms, great staff and easy walk to town.

Great location but it's a big hotel and the many corridors are not well-signed. We almost got lost on the way to the car park. Don't be misled by the charge for Valet Parking. You can park yourself in their garage for two-thirds of the price.

Good restaurant and bar. Rooms are now (January 2009) looking very tired but there is an upgrade planned for 2009. Rooms are rather small. Leisure centre is excellent. Good location.

The friendly and helpful staff. The Hyatt in Auckland is conveniently situated near the University and close to the city center. The staff is extremely helpful and I highly recommend the hotel.

Not having my room ready for a 4.00pm check-in was disappointing, and not offering me anything other than to go away and come back later was poor service for a hotel i would have expected better from. Otherwise excellent facilities, good location (though steep walk up from Queen St), and great harbour views

The staff was very friendly. There wasn't anything that I disliked enough to mention. This hotel was convenient to the downtown area and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. We had no complaints.
