My wife and I were there for our 15th wedding Anniversary to experience a new city. We went for the fireworks, the history/culture, and a Red Sox game. Our first night we were given wrong directions by hotel staff and got lost. What was supposed to be a 20 minute walk turned into an hour and a half disaster. When we called to find out where we were nothing such as the convenience of a cab or shuttle was offered and the desk clerk started an argument over the phone about how the walk is only about 30 minutes and we must not have listened. Standing in the middle of a strange city at 130am and lost isn't the time to argue over the phone. The room was a little expensive for the basic offerings but was very clean. Pool was only accessible from 6am to 10pm where a late night swim could have been helpful as they didn't have a lifeguard on duty anyway while pool was open. The breakfast was good but VERY crowded and using better judgement about when to take food away when it was that busy would have been better customer service.

The Hyatt Place Medford has fantastic rooms with very nice, helpful service people. However, there was not a single piece of information for tourists about shopping, sites to see, restaurants, etc., anywhere in the room or in the hotel as far as i could see. And do not order anything cooked. The food is not good. The fruit, yogurt, cereal breakfast is plentiful and the surroundings for breakfast are comfortable. Rosa's restaurant and at least two of the Chinese places, as well as a nice deli are only about two blocks away in Medford Squre. Using online booked ahead price, this hotel was a fine value. One little Boston magazine would have made it perfect.

I've stayed at alot of hotels and this one is up there, its confortable easy access to the Bosten area and they provide a shuttle to the T. All was great, the staff very helpfull and recomended lots of places in town to eat. The local dining was very affordable and great when traveling on business with your family, it is very expensive to eat in downtown Boston. The only issue I had was for the price of the hotel the continental breakfast could have been alittle better, if they would have added a couple of hot entrees included in the price of the room it would have been nice instead of purchasing it seperatly.

Very easy to get to from the freeway, but no freeway noise. The rooms were large & beds comfortable. We had requested adjoining rooms to allow the young children to be able to be put to bed and still have a place for the adults to visit. The rooms were right next to one another, so the wireless baby monitor worked fine. Breakfast was good. Pool was a little chilly. Staff was very helpful and accomodating. The enclosed garage was a great plus for unloading/loading during the rain.

Underground secure parking garage. We had a non-smoking room that smelled like smoke. The hotel was nice. The room was large and had a refrigerator and wet bar. It had a continental breakfast. The food at the hotel was very good.

Myself and my wife were very impressed with this hotel. It is very clean, the room was spacious, and the bed VERY comfortable. The lobby area is open and different from most hotels. Apparently Hyatt took over the hotel about a year ago from Amerisuites, and the place seems brand new. The continental breakfast was plentiful, and there was plenty of seating. The only complaint we had was with the pool, which was in need of a cleaning. It wasn't gross, but the tiles could do with a scrubbing. Overall, a great hotel in close proximity to Boston.

Large rooms, with an asian/european influence in decor. Nice huge flat screen TV (with ready hookups for a computer or other video device (video Ipod?), in-room fridge, sink, and kitchenette. FREE internet access, semi-divided 'living area' from 'bedroom area'. Even the alarm clock was nice with an IPOD/Audio input. This was a great, seemingly newly remodeled room, a great hotel lobby, and the whole experience, while brief, was very positive. About the only thing to complain about was a slightly messy parking garage (kitchen equipment stored there, I assume from re-model), a grumpy card reader to let you in the elevator from the parking garage, and the way you feel like you have to tap dance with the TV remote control to watch TV without being charged. (But the TV thing is an annoyance with almost all hotels now, the remodel is temporary, and the card reader is probably already fixed)All in all, I don't know what those previous reviewers saw, or experienced. Some of those reviews were quite dated, so I'm assuming a remodel has happened since then. This hotel was NICE. And a great experience. A great value. -Jason

The room was neat, clean and quiet. The desk, refrigerator, extra sink and couch were great and allowed us to spread out and work on the computer too.

We really enjoyed the separate living area with the couch and refrigerator. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was really friendly and the continental breakfast was nice.

The hotel has just been renevated. It was clean, and the staff was very helpful, very young, and not exactly efficient. We arrived late, hoping for a glass or wine and a meal (they have what they call 24 hour meal service). No wine or any thing else--no liquor license yet. Not much selection of food which had to be ordered on a computer. The room looked great--but was inconvenient to use. The remote didn't work from the bed, for example, on the huge TV screen.

Overall, it was a good value for the area, but no comparison to hotels closer to the MIT campus. The room was large and comfortable with a great TV, but we found a small stain on the sheets the first night and put out the card to have them changed the next day. Unfortunately, they weren't changed and still not changed the next day after telling the front desk about it. Thankfully we were only using one bed! A shuttle is available to take you to the T stop, but don't count on it to come back and pick you up. We waited 40 minutes after calling, only to have it show up without enough seats available! A bottle of cleaner was left in our bathroom and an insect was in the orange juice pitcher--but I guess it was worth the price considering ones in Cambridge were over $500 a night!

Great continental breakfast! That we had to wait for a shuttle to take to public transportation. Awesome rooms with plenty of space. Great free breakfast. Would come again with the rest of family!

This hotel used to be an Amerisuites hotel. It is in the middle of being remodeled. This didn't cause any problems for us. The room was nice. It had a 42 inch plasma TV in it with cable (2 HBO channels). It also had a small refrigerator in it. The room had a king-size bed and a queen sofa-bed. The bathroom was kind of small, but adequate. The hotel is walking distance from downtown Medford. The shuttle can get you to the T (red or orange line). The only problem with the shuttle is there is only one van and it runs on request. If someone else gets it before you do, you be stranded for as long as their trip takes. The staff at the front desk try to help by attempting to combine trips, but we were stranded once. There are also convenient bus routes in the area, one that comes from the Wellington Station, on the orange line, and stops right in front of it.The breakfast was good. In addition to the continental breakfast, there were scrambled eggs and sausage. There are several nice local restaurants in the area. We ate at and Italian one called "Il Faro." The food and service were fantastic. We spent the days in Boston, so our time in the hotel was limited. It did make an excellent base of operations

The parking facilities were great and the location even better. I also loved the room! I had problems with my room key. It was easily rectified but still an inconvenience.
