At check in, the second room we reserved was not available. I do not know if it was Hyaitt or Orbitz fault. Friends had to stay in much smaller room but free. Did kill a cockroach in my room.

This hotel met our needs very nicely and the staff was friendly, helpful and professional. We would definitely stay here again. No negative comments. We were very pleased with the accommodations, professionalism of the staff and the cost of the room. We have used priceline in the past to book rooms and flights with no problems and this was another pleasant experience. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends. We would have liked greater variety in the complimentary breakfast options, but overall the convenience of the location to area restaurants, shopping, etc. far exceeded this area of concern.

Our stay at Hyatt Place was great, it was over 100 outside so the air conditioned rooms were a blessing. The rooms are very nice, we had a king size bed with a sofa sleeper. There was a small partition between the bed and the sofa so you had a feeling of privacy. Separate wet bar from bathroom sink which was nice since we brought breakfast/lunch with us, so I didnt feel like I was washing our dirty dishes in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, hotel staff was very nice. Overall we had a very good stay, we plan to stay again in October for my sons bday so we can go to Alabama Adventure and the Birmingham zoo which is not too far at all from the hotel.

This hotel is located off US-280 in the Birmingham suburbs. The hotel was in a nice location but the afternoon traffic on US-280 is bumper to bumper.

My family & I had a great experience at the Hyatt Place Birmingham - Inverness. This was my 5th time to stay at this hotel. This hotel is always clean, staff friendly & great location. Very consistent!

Lobby. Cleaning staff was very poor. Fell well short of the expectation Priceline and their website created.

The hotel cleaning staff was wonderful. My 1st room reeked of cigarett smoke, the second room had no A/C and they never moved me they tried fixing the A/C they could not so by that time all the hotel had no rooms left. They promised a new room if they could not get the A/C working. There was no management on Staff, the front desk made no attemt promised something they could not do, so my daughter and I had to sleep in a stuffy, hot room on the 6th floor. They brought a fan but it was coated with 2 " of dust and debris. I the manager the next day was pleasant but it was a terrible experience, especially the night before I took my daugther to her game, left the game to make sure we would get a new room, came back that night and they had no room and I had no A/C .

The Hyatt Place was very nice. The rooms were larger than expected and everything was very clean. The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful. They have a cafe that has snacks and drinks 24 hours which can come in handy. Their continental buffet was fabulous and had a wide variety of choices.

The room was very contemporary, huge and efficient. Love big screen TV! This hotel exceeded all expectations of a Hyatt Place. Beautiful new room with a view of nothing but trees. Lovely. The huge TV made it hard to leave the room. Wish I could have stayed longer.

The Hyatt Place Birmingham/Inverness was the nicest room we have ever stayed in. The rooms were very tastefully decorated and spotless. The room was divided into two separate areas. The living area had a corner sleeper sofa, decorator pillows, a large flat screen TV that could be pivoted toward the bed or sofa, a desk, and a counter area with a mini-fridge and coffee/tea maker. You could get Star-buck Coffee 24 hours a day in the lobby, instant light meals until 11:00 p.m.,grab and go snacks and an abundant continental breakfast in the mornings. The surrounding area was lush with trees and very convient to shopping and restaurants.

Very friendly, professional staff; quiet and very clean room. Small refrigerator's temperature was not set cold enough to place food in. Rooms decorated in a contemporary style. Rooms were very clean and quiet. If you loveTV the flat screens are 42". Fast check-out. Staff wasvery friendly and professional.

All in all, this was a very basic hotel. The bed was lumpy, the pool was outdoor only with limited hours, and the staff had a difficult time giving me my miles credit. We asked for extra pillows and there were none. We asked for extra blankets for the sofa sleeper and got a mattress pad and a crib blanket. Frankly, I expected more. there are other great hotels in the area. I won't return to the Hyatt Place.

Big-screenTV in room, clean. Swimming pool was not open on May 15. Always enjoy staying at Hyatt Place. This was our first stay at this location since being renovated from AmeriSuites. Staff member met us at the door. Check-in was very quick with all amenities explained. Room was spotless. Enjoyed the large-screen TV. Very pleasant stay, although I could not believe the sparkling pool was not open on a warm May afternoon.

The Hyatt Place Birmingham/Inverness, Birmingham, Alabama was a beautiful hotel with a great staff. They were very helpful leading us to local restaurants for dinner. There were plenty of restaurants and shopping, etc. around the hotel, although it was set back from the road enough it did not feel like it was in a busy area. The room was large, with the separate couch/desk area, it was plenty of room to move around in. We will definately stay again!

The accommodations were very nice and clean, friendly staff. Called to see when the pool opened. Was told May 1st. Pool was not open - did not open until May 23. The staff was very friendly and the accommodations were very nice.

we found the hotel personnel to be very friendly and eager to please.. the room was a good size and included a separate space for work and comfortable tv watching on a large, hi-def tv. the ''free'' breakfast was very good and the (for charge) hot foods were very good and reasonably priced. we would like to stay there again when we're back in b'ham.
