We have stayed in hundreds of hotels from across the world and they all have about the same design. The fancy/expensive hotels just dress up the the same design with marble and granite. The Hyatt Place has its own feel to the room that sets it apart from any other. You feel right at home and do not want to leave when you get there. The seperation of bedroom and living area is fantastic. The pivoting 42" flat screen made it enjoyable to watch a movie without even leaving the room. It was directly acroos the street from the Mall where my wife spent most of her time. This is the best hotel by far.

large rooms, reasonably priced, deli downstairs nothing i did not like Large room with a couch area. Have a small deli downstairs where one can purchase items if in need. Convenient location.

Definitely a nice place to stay, but I felt that the room needed a lot more attentiion. Such as the maid missed a dirty spoon left in the sink from the previous guest? Room could have been a lot cleaner also. That was quite disappointing. All else was pleasant, as were the people.

This hotel was great. Great Price! Great Location! Awesome Staff! The hotel looked brand new. The food was great. My wife loved the Starbucks Coffee. The Pool and Excercise room were okay. I think they could have been bigger and had more machines, but all in all it was great! The rooms were spacious and all of the have HD Plasma TV's. My kids almost didn't want to leave the hotel. My only regret was that I didn't reserver the room for two nights. We liked Baton Rouge so much we wanted to stay another night, but his hotel was booked. We had to stay at a close by hotel that could not live up to our expectations that were made because of the Hyatt Place.

I liked the layout of the room. there was a divider to seperate the bed from the "living room" and there was a huge plasma tv that was a total plus. very spacious, comfy, and clean. there was a fridge but i wish there was a microwave too..but oh well! still good!

The front desk clerk was very friendly. The breakfast area was very crowded. I had a very pleasant experience at this hotel.

We stayed in a first floor room, the room was so clean I'm not sure if we were the first to use it. It was stylish (contemporary) and comfortable, flat screen TV, comfy linens and mattress, walked right next door to a great restaurant. This is Hyatts answer to Hol Inn Express. Great job, good breakfast included in price. We worked out on nice equipment, centrally located to nice mall and LSU, good neighborhood.

This is very nice hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and spacious. We stayed overnight after a day at Blue Bayou. I would have preferred to shower and then eat at the hotel but there is no restaurant on site. There are plenty of places to eat within 5 to 10 minutes of the hotel. We just were too tired to go but we did. We ran across a Piccadilly about 5 minutes away (on Essen St.). We got up the next morning and were ready to eat a filling breakfast but it definitely is continental. Just cereals, fruit, juices, oatmeal, yogurt, bagels, muffins, and coffee. Sure would have liked some of those Belgian waffles. You can place an order for a cooked meal from a machine but we were ready to eat. Again, we could have went to the Picadilly for breakfast or waited for the Mall to open. Heck, there is a Burger King across the street. Hmmm. . . naw, I don't think I want that for breakfast. Other than food options, the hotel is great. Close to everything.

I travel to Baton Rouge, La. often on business and pleasure. This Hyatt Place is a really nice stay with clean and comfortable rooms and friendly service from the staff. As I travel alone some, I feel safe and always experience a good stay. I have made use of the pool and it is really exceptional for relaxation. I like the complimentary wine in the evenings.

42 inch TV. Nothing specific. Room setup was really nice with a full size L sofa and 42 inch flat panel TV.

Traveling on Christmas day was interesting. Although there was nothing open for dinner, there were snacks at the hotel. I was told that the difference of Hyatt and Hyatt place was at Hyatt Place, there's no room service. Probably would have been good to know before the trip but, we survived! The resort was VERY CLEAN and there was plenty of room for 4. We would definitely stay here again.

This place is classy, clean and the staff very efficient and friendly. The room was very comfortable with a huge sofa and ottoman, huge extra comfy bed and a huge flat screen that pivoted between the two. Food left a bit to be desired...could have made more of an effort on food and beverages, but nice location for eating/drinking. Morning coffee was Starbucks, and even on a busy Saturday, there was plenty. Will definitely stay here again.

the room was very romantic, has a rap around couch. tv turned toward the couch or bed. breakfast was great, you could order off a breakfast menu or eat the contintenal breakfast. coffee pot in the room made one large cup of coffee. the staff knew what they were doing and very knowledgeable about the city. mall was in walking distance, three floors. great fun

I like the layout of the room and the hotel concept. The upkeep of the hotel was lacking. This hotel was very close to the interstate and the locations I needed to visit in the city. Upkeep on the hotel is lax. My toilet wobbled and the cover on the back of the toilet was about 4" larger than the toilet itself, clearly not the original. Also, there were stains and marks inside the shower and there were some places that the paint in the room needed to be touched up where people had banged things into the walls. The air conditioner was not able to keep up in 80 degree weather. Also, in the lobby there were exposed wires above one of the doors to the parking lot. This was somewhat disconcerting. On the positive side, the room looked modern and attractive, the place was clean and safe and everyone was friendly.
