We got a great deal for a lovely room. The staff were very friendly. When we got there they were out of King size bedrooms but gave us the handicapped King room which was very nice and the only difference being that there were handles in the tub area. The pluses: The bed was soft, huge and comfortable. The room was clean, good sized and updated. The room was quiet and the air conditioner worked great. The TV was huge and turned towards the bed or the couch. We stayed only one night. The free airport shuttle was on time and the driver was friendly. The downsides: The towels were somewhat scratchy, the TV took a long time to change channels, no microwave in the room and no hot food at breakfast. There is a Wafflehouse directly behind the hotel. Warning: There are ticks in the grass as I got one attached to my foot after walking (in sandals) on the grass to the Waffle House. Yuk! Other than that I would stay here again.

Spacious, great bed, quiet, wonderful amenities. The Hyatt was great after flying all day. The room was spacious, with a huge TV and very comfortable beds. Having wireless internet and an area for lounging or small meetings makes this hotel very desirable. At Priceline.com rates it was an outstanding value.

Either you like these hotels or you don't. I'm fine with them because of decent quality and predictbility. Very much standard and cookie cutter HP, if a bit larger than most. Everything was clean and adequate. I like the bedding and sleep good at this location. The fitness room looked pretty good for a hotel of this size. I'm always getting in late for an early plane the next morning, so I have no clue if there even is a pool. Single desk person at night was pretty good. Single desk person in the morning pretty much absent with a lobby full of departing guests. I checked out with the machine and left.

We stayed the night at this hotel before we traveled back to Alaska. The sole purpose was to rest up and sleep in before a very long day of traveling. The hotel offers Double beds, not Queen. The sheets were really scratchy and the room was way too hot and we couldn't figure out how to turn the heat down. If you are traveling alone and don't mind sleeping in a small bed with uncomfortable sheets then give it a try, but we will stay somewhere else next time.

Hotel was great! Made it easy to meet up with family in our rooms or in the lobby area. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful.

I just needed to spend a night near the Kansas City Airport, opened the door to my room and had the most pleasant surprise of my trip. The room was spotless, very spacious and just plain cool. Fantastic workspace, incredible TV with computer inputs, comfortable bed. I'm impressed and as a 100+ might business traveler, I'm not that easy to impress. GREAT value!

When we walked into our room, or children both started to scream ""STINKY"" because the room REEKED of dog. Add to that the large black bug occupying the room, we requested another room. They had no others available so we checked out and left.

The employees were indescribably kind and always ready to help out. The food consisted ofcereals, three types of fruit, milk, orange juice, Starbucks coffee, yogurt, and tea. The only problem with the breakfast was the lack of hot foods. The fitness center was very clean and each machine had a personal television attached to it. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel offers a save the planet type of program in which you do not need to have your towels washed everyday. You do not need to participate in this program by leaving your towels on the floor; if you leave the towels on the floor, the employees will automatically assume that you want the towels washed. The hotel offers complimentary green apples 24/7 which was very nice too. The hotel was conveniently located near the MCI airport, but not nearly close enough to hear the airplane noises. I was very satisfied with the hotel.

Excellent location, Staff, and quality. Nothing. Pleasantly surprised at the 5 star quality of rooms. Highly recommend this facility for any one. Family or business traveler.

Because we checked in after their ""audit"", our room keys expired after our first night. Had to get them recoded when we tried to get in the second night and they wouldn't work--at 1am! Neither the night clerk nor the morning clerk (when we complained at check out) apologized for the inconvenience. Both had a ""so what"" attitude. I expected better service at such a well-rated motel.

The Hyatt Place provides an excellent room - virtually a suite with sitting area and kitchen corner with refrigerator, small sink. The closet was a little small. The location of our room provided easy access to fitness room and outside entrance. The separate vanity and bathroom is especially convenient. The breakfast was quite good, but lacked the waffle maker that has become standard in most motels. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Hyatt Place Kansas City Airport is top notch. Free airport shuttle was a bonus in getting from and back to the airport. Staff was super friendly and helpful with answers to all questions; even printed out some briefs on activities to help guide us in the right direction. Rooms were stellar, comfortable and spacious. Option for the two beds plus the couch sleeper made a perfect fit for my reunion with my sister and her two small kids. Dad had his king bed and equally spacious room nearby for easy visiting. Huge flatscreen TV was on a swivel for easy viewing at all angles in the room; nice setup with refrigerator/coffee maker; desk/business area added even more functionality to the room, and bathroom sink was nicely mirrored. Fitness room downstairs was great relief, as well as the free onsite computer access to Internet. And breakfast, more deluxe than I imagined from the notice of free continental breakfast; plenty of cereals, fruit, yogurts, breads, juices, teas and good coffee. Plus, there was a kitchen/window option if you wanted something heartier. Oh and apples in the lobby, nice seating area too, for a quick snack on the go. And the city wasn't a far drive, so the hotel's location was ideal.

Great staff, location, and overall attractiveness. I was extremely pleased with this hotel! Upon arrival, I was grated by two staff members and they were both very pleasant and friendly. I will definitely stay at Hyatt again in Kansas City definitely!

The Hyatt Plaza, for a medium priced hotel, is by far one of the best accomdations we've experienced. The room was large, beautifully appointed and extremely clean. Their food service is a great concept--in addition to a free continental breakfast, there is a staffed counter offering more elaborate breakfast options, plus a good variety of sandwiches and other options. Wine and beer are available and it is open for long periods of time. We've stayed in a very few top-notch resort hotels with more extensive amenities, but other than that, this is the nicest hotel in which we've stayed.
