I enjoy staying at the Hyatt Canberra and is my preferred hotel in the city, however the last visit over the Easter weekend was marked with extremely poor facility "breakdowns" that suggested the hotel was becoming very run down. The Key system didn't work for the first day, the hot water system was down in the morning at 'peak time', the hot gas ran out during breakfast meaing we could all eat hot breakfasts at the same time, and we had to complain and send food back from the restaurant one evening. This is very unlike other Hyatt Hotels we stay at and was very dissapointed.

Superb and gracious facilities in this historic building, which is ideally situated for visiting the National Art Gallery and surrounding environs. Friendly, welcoming staff eager to assist.

Has a generous "olde world" feel having been opened in the 1920's. Quiet location near the Parliament. Rooms are larger than average with all facilities expected in a five star hotel. Highly recommended.

A really beautiful hotel with lovely surroundings for walking including across to the National Gallery. All staff very professional , friendly & so helpful. Bathroom was a highlight...large, really clean & weel fitted out. Whole room was spacious. A great quiet location, yet close to everywhere.

Such polite staff. They opened doors, assisted with luggage. All staff were efficient and pleasant. The room was wonderful. The bathroom was enormous with beautiful marble. Plenty of towels. Free newspaper delivered in the mornings as well! Would definately stay there again!
