Great Hotel Staff, and lovely hotel but charged a daily parking fee along with a resort fee. An additional $35.00 per day charge plus tax. These fees surprised us they were not noted on Orbits, but when we checked in were advised of these extra costs. Also the self park is far from your room, not easy in 112 - 116 degree heat.

The spa was amazing, loved the fitness classes & gym and adult pool. Beds comfy & room clean. Staff was great everywhere except pool. Servers & bartender there only negative. The resort fee and valet fee can add an extra $50 a night. Self park is free so there is still the $23 daily resort fee. Since the gym and classes were included it was OK. The spa is worth the trip alone. It's great and the staff are wonderful. The building was a little dated, but maintained very well and very clean. Bartenders in the main bar were very friendly and helpful, so that made up for the cocky attitude of the young bartender at the pool. Lots of people brought their own drinks and food to the pool which is a good idea since the service is dreadful. The grounds were maintained very well. There is no shuttle but they will take you in a golf cart to the Esmeralda next door for great live band and dancing. Overall this property would be a 10 if the pool service was good.

This was luxury at it's finest. The rooms were clean & huge! It came with a sofa bed. I loved that the room had a refridgerator in it & a flat screen tv. The alarm clock had an iPod/iPhone dock which was really nice. I will try to stay here everytime I visit the Palm Springs area. Nice resturants were just up the street. Ruth Chris, P.F. Chang, Cheesecake Factory etc. Be aware that you might have to pay a $20 "resort fee" & when we went there was the weekend of the Bob Hope Classic so self parking was scarce. They had valet to make up for it though.

I am writing to say that the resort fee is totally worth it. I loved all the benefits that I recieved. Where else could you get so much for such a paltry sum. I thought that the room rate was so reasonable that when I heard about the resort fee I felt embarassed that such a hotel should be forced to hide their poverty in a resort fee. I would like to be the first to suggest that Marriott add a special comfort fee on to their resort fee to ensure that the front desk gives a smile on arrival and a tanks berry much upon departure.

Hotel was great ~ The rooms are spacious and clean. The crib for the baby was an extra nice touch. We had a few excited neighbors that was a little loud for the baby to take a nap, but the front desk promptly changed us to a different room. Very nice and friendly staff. Dining options are some what limited. One restaurant and 2 cafe and the menu is somewhat limited. However, the food is was tasty though. Would recommend this hotel for a nice relaxing get away trip.

Having just returned from the Hyatt today, I must say it was the BEST vacation of my life! It started out like the trip from Hell. Valet failed to unload the back seat, internet service was $10 extra bucks, resort fee $18 extra bucks, and all of a sudden my 3nights and 4 days for $* PLUS a special little cabana for my sweetheart on her 40th birthday by the pool for $45 for a 1/2 day plus $10 for 2 bottles of arrowhead and a basket of 4 fruits, then a light dinner of pizza and appetizers in the pianissimo for an additional $43 and now let's remember to add on tax tips. Before I laid my head on my luxurious down comfort pillow, I had spent over $525.00 for my $* a night desert weekend getaway package.! However, My wife and I are both quite verbal and we complained vociferously (we're shrinks!) Picture this if you will: The Hyatt Grand Champions Resort, Villas and Spas literally and figuratively bent over backwards to make this right. And this is what they did: 1. Eliminated all costs associated with resort fees, internet charges and fruit baskets with water in them. They provided us with a luxurious private cabana ALL DAY at no charge and the concierge herself brought us a complimentary carafe of mimosos to toil with that midday sun. 2. Eliminated all any extra fees or hidden costs not specifically referred to in the contract. 3. Followed up with us by two separate concierges and the hotel mananger on site, who personally called to inquire if there's anything else they coud do to enhance the quality of our stay with them. This trip literally went from a BIG FAT DISASTER to the Best of the BEST. OVERWHELMING RECOMMENDATION!!!

My husband, daughter and I chose this hotel to add some luxury to our weekend at the Palm Springs Film Festival and I was disappointed. Although the hotel had some nice features, poor maintenance and design flaws overshadowed them. To begin with, our room was on the first floor, down a VERY long, dark hallway that smelled alternately of nail polish remover or sewage. It was on the parking lot but you couldn't access it from there. They asked if it was my first stay there, and Instead of trying to get my repeat business, I guess they thought they could stick me with their poorest room! The two double beds were narrower than any I've ever slept in, too narrow to share with my husband or daughter comfortably! The room fan was noisy, the sink drain broken, the hair dryer didn't work and neither did the refrigerator. I called to complain and they brought another hair dryer and told me to put our items in the mini bar. They said it wouldn't result in a charge. But on check out, I was charged 38 for eating and drinking from the mini bar! (They credited it back when I explained their error). Room service brought the wrong order once out of the two times we used it. The 18 a day charge for using the hotel "activities"is silly - it should be included in the room charge. The "seven" pools are backyard size pools, not very impressive. On the plus side, the landscaping was lovely, it was very quiet, and the fitness center and free bike rentals were nice. For the hype and price, it was very over rated. I'd rather stay closer to town in a less prestigious hotel that was well cared for.

We loved this hotel. Though it was a holiday weekend, and we were told it was sold out, we had quite a quiet and relaxed stay. We especially enjoyed the adult swimming pool without the noise and distraction of kids. We thought the nightly family movies by the pool were a great idea, and look forward to returning with our family in the future. The staff was always friendly and prompt. The grounds were spacious, clean, and quiet. We have recommended it to everybody we know!

Cabana by the pool. Room smelled like smoke. Booked room at the last minute just to get out of town for the day. The hotel was beautiful comfortable and a wonderful escape. Not too crowded, definitely family friendly, lots of kids on the water slide. We stayed on the side with the adults only pool, which was quiet and peaceful.

We were off for a little R&R. Location was great, away from the main town yet close enough to zip in for dinner, etc.Hotel people were helpful and always available. Spa services were clean and extra classes were fun. It was too cool for the outdoor pool, although the facility looked wonderful.Only problem came with the massage facility. I booked a reflexology session but felt the tperson they gave me was not really trained in that service.Overall, I'd go there again.

If laying by the pool all day, getting spa treatments, and playing golf are your cup of tea, it's a great resort. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for younger people - there wasn't too much in the way of excitement. Just a lot of families and older folks. My only real complaint is that there was a leak in the ceiling in our room, and hotel staff advised that it was a leaking A/C unit and not to worry. Well after several hours the floor outside of the bathroom was absolutely soaked and it was impossible to sleep through the sound of the dripping A/C. We ended up changing rooms at 2 a.m. Not fun.

I went to this resort for some me time to relax. I got exactly the room I needed, away from everything. The room was very clean. The bathroom was big, with a nice size tub.The shower was all see through which I like. The robe provided was plush. The bed had a down comforter and down pillows. Room service was perfect. The efficiancy was awesome. The food was great. You have the option to put in a breakfast order by hanging the ticket on your door the night before, you choose what to eat and what time to deliver it. My breakfast was delivered on time. how cool is that. Well I just stayed at this resort 3 days ago. I am going back in 2 days with my girls. I can't wait.

I stayed at the hotel while attending a conference. The room was very large, very comfortable and suprisingly upscale. The beds plush and the sheets high quality cotton. The bathroom was like a spa in itself. The staff provided quiet, professional services.

Great pool. Loud at night. Stayed at the hotel for a get away from the San Diego May Grey. The room was comfortable, especially the bed and yummy fluffy pillows. My son had a great time in the pools and the slide area which he went down about a zillion times. You're able to spend all day around the pool and they'll bring you great and not too expensive food. Only downside was our room faced the pool, some non thinking parents let their kids swim at midnight, and squeal and yell. Security took care of it, the pool is supposed to close at 10pm. Otherwise, a great place to go for a pick me up.

aside from the hidden 18.00 daily resort fee, this hotel was wonderful. nice rooms, great service and the adult pool area was a relief from kids but the chairs fill up quickly so get there early. We were able to change our room from 2 dbls to a king the second night, ,no problem. the bathrooms were huge! didin't eat at the restaurant, too expensive.

Needless to say, this was an important event and I wanted everything to be perfect. And it was. The villas have a separate bedroom and living room with flat TVs, fireplace, private hot tub, back yard w/BBQ grill, and a butler. For small parties, you can arrange to have your butler man the grill for you. Women will love the decadent separate bathtub and shower. The room and hotel grounds were immaculate throughout. I received an upgrade to a 2bd 2ba villa without asking. Everyone I ran into at the hotel asked me how to correctly pronounce my last name so that they could do it properly. And they did. Every time. I asked for a cake to be delivered while I was out to dinner. When we came home, the cake was on the table, looking like a work of art. White and dark chocolate strawberries were cutely dressed like a bride and groom. Lights were dimmed, fireplace was lit. This earned me a few points with the GF. And all I did was ask for a cake with a message on it. I asked for a recommendation for a local steakhouse and the concierge recommended LG's. I thanked her and she promptly picked up the phone and asked if I wanted her to make a reservation for me. The spa was adequate, not extravagant. Had all the basics: massage, showers, steam room, sauna, hot tub, cold tub, TVs. Service was excellent. It did the job, but nothing to write home about. The night before I checked out, I called the front desk to ask what check out time was. He told me noon, but extended it to 1:00 without me even asking. When it comes to good service, asking and receiving is one thing but often times I received without even asking.
