Overview:
The Huntingdon Hotel and Suites Victoria, a lovely Victoria accommodation, can be found near Victoria’s Parliament building and close to the Royal London Wax Museum, the Royal BC Museum, and the Cedar Hill Golf Course. Guests will find the hotel in downtown Victoria near the Inner Harbour. The hotel is also on the same grounds as a spa, an art gallery, several restaurants, and an ice-cream shop.
Because the Huntingdon Hotel and Suites Victoria is located in downtown Victoria, it is easily reached by car, taxi, or bus. Guests coming into the international airport will find that it is only a short ride away.
The rooms of the Huntingdon Hotel and Suites Victoria are all decorated in 1980’s English country décor and include modern amenities like gallery suites and rooms that welcome pets.
Guests of the Huntingdon Hotel and Suites Victoria will find that it looks like an English manor shipped across the ocean and dropped into downtown Victoria. The hotel was built in 1981, and its remodeling since then has allowed it to retain the architecture of that age while still including plenty of modern amenities. The hotel includes its own beauty salon, hot tub, laundry facility, bar, and restaurants. Guests can also take advantage of underground parking for an extra fee.

The friendly and professional staff epitomized this hotel. The friendly manner made our stay here easy and enjoyable. It's central situation and access to downtown Victoria, a pleasure. We were initially asked for $9 per day for car parking, but as we had seen free parking on the web site, this fee was waived without any problem. The kitchen advertised in the Buckingham suite was available for a further one off fee of $15. This was not clear from the web site, but the use of the fridge, microwave and coffee machine was included in price of room. No crockery apart from mugs and glasses were supplied without the extra fee being paid. Overall this suited our needs very well. The nearby Days Inn was very good value for an evening meal as well as being good food. Just the right distance for a rainy evening! We would return to this hotel and can recommend it.

The Huntingdon Hotel was comfortably rooomy and has a table with two chairs for having coffee. The washroom was very clean and has good drainage. The location was in a great and sophisticated neighbourhood. The hotel is so close to downtown, the seawall and great attractions where so many tourists congregate. The location was even enjoyable during the evening with quaint restaurants nearby. The restaurant service was, however, a disaster. The waiter seemed in a daze as he had to ask for our order three times. We gave up but the hotel reception apologized and did not charged for the parking. This gesture from the reception was indeed laudable.

The location was great..within walking distance of all of the attractions downtown. The rooms were nice although the one facing the harbor (west) was quite hot (June). There was only one small window for ventilation. Also, we booked two rooms with Orbitz but the hotel only had us down for one room. Fortunately they had 2 rooms available and we had our Orbitz reservation to show them, otherwise the rooms would have been double the price. The dining room was also quite pricey. Overall, it was a good room for the price and location and we had a great time in Victoria. We especially enjoyed the Royal BC Museum, the many street performers and our trip to Sooke and Whiffin Spit!

Close to the Inner Harbor. Bathroom fan was loud.

Warning, Huntingdon is no longer a Ramada. I wonder who dumped who? The hotel has gone downhill fast since last year. Reservation screwups, no renovations as promised, murky & nonworking jacuzzi, room keys not working. The list goes on and on. It was a real, real mess when we stayed and service will hit rock bottom before anything gets done.

Fantastic gateway, very friendly staff, clean rooms, super location. Will go back again.

The room was spacious, clean and well laid out. The only thing that detracted was that there was no morning room service (even a continental breakfast option would have been great). We were thrilled and delighted to walk into our spacious suite - a two level with a bedroom loft. I would absolutely stay at the Huntingdon hotel and suites again when I go to Victoria. The view was better than the one we had from the empress 10 years ago and the room far more spacious and comfortable. The only detraction was that room service was minimal (especially in the am), but since we do like to get out and about relatively early, it wasn't a deal breaker.

NO air conditioning -no fans -one small window, the continental breakfast was two items and purchase your own drink. Two out of the three nights were too hot to enjoy the room.

A great location, max. 5 minutes from the ferry! Tucked away in a quiet street but very easy access to inner harbor. Nice spacious room and friendly staff.

The hotel staff were very friendly, but service was slow across the board. No sense of urgency. Elevator does not work properly. Housekeeping slow, missed details (coffee cups). Promised free breakfast on website, was told at checkin they didn't do it in the summer. We were given 3 coupons, breakfast cost 10. Very tacky! Also, the front desk only offered coupons for 2 of us, there were 4 in our party. I probably would not stay here again, as i have had a better experience at hotels that are just as conveniently located.
