The Hunguest Hotel Platanus Budapest is nothing special, but it is fine to stay in, especially given the reasonable rates. It's only four metro stations to the centre of Budapest. Hint: if you arrive from the nearest metro station, try to ask someone which exit to use and which way to go once you get out of the exit - there are quite a few metro exits and many highway-type roads around the metro station and it's a few blocks out, which make it a little difficult to find for the first time. The places to eat in central Budapest are much nicer than the ok-but-nothing-special hotel restaurant - only go this option if you are tired! Bathrooms are a little old and tired.

Very nice hotel, delicious breakfast, we were lucky to have a room in quiet part of the hotel. The room was not prepared for as in time, though. We can fully recommend the Hunguest Hotel Platanus Budapest. :-)

The team of the hotel were great and they prepared us a breakfast to take in the plane because we leaft the hotel at 5:30. The main problem is the noisy rooms : the hotel is easy to find because it is over a 4*4 line street as a big big boulevard, an very busy. So when you are in the room, you heard the cars, but there is room not over the street on a small "cour" that are very quiet. Please ask them for a good sleep. We decided to do it and it was better. Just another point, the hotel is far from the center of Budapest. A rent car is a good solution but not the economicest!! Otherwise, Budapest is a lovely town with lot of history

Hotel is good, new and comfortable, very close to the metro station (M3). Breakfast is incredible abundant! My stay was short (just 2 nights) but nice. I would come back in Platánus again. For girls: take your hair drier.

Accommodation in Budapest in summer is expensive, but Platanus is reasonably priced, if not very central. The Metro stop is nearby, though. We made a reservation on short notice in mid-August. Rooms and halls are spacious, the building is a former hospital.

We had a nice warm welcome from the staff on arrival and likewise from all the other staff through out our stay. Our room was at the back of the hotel which meant we had no traffic noise and it was very quiet. Just what we needed. The hotel is just 2 streets away from the Metro which runs very frequently and is only 6 stops away from the heart of the city. Maybe I could fault it if I was very picky but for the price we paid it was good indeed. Overall a very pleasent stay and I would not hestitate to recommened it. I would stay there again.

My wife an I stayed at the Patanus for seven nights and were quite pleased with the service and accomodations. Breakfast was excellente but getting there early is an advantage since not all items were renued when their containers were emptied. Unfortunately, children and some adults were allowed to play or otherwise be very noisy in the halls as late as midnight several times. We heard our next door neighbor call the desk to complain, with no luck.

Alles in allem: Preis-Leistung paßt 100% ig.

It's a very nice hotel. We had a room with view in the courtyard and we never heared the traffic. But there are also rooms at the street site and the street in front of the hotel is a very busy street. Parking is possible at the hotel's own parking area which costs HUF 1500 per day. The hotel can be found very easily per car, the metro station is very close. Breakfast is very delicious (incl. soymilk and tofu). We had a nice stay at the hotel and we will take it next time again.
