Howard Johnson Inn and Suites Jacksonville

The Howard Johnson Inn & Suites Jacksonville Hotel is centrally located in the middle of the Southpoint business district and its proximity to both Butler Blvd and I-95 allows easy access to Downtown, the beach, the town centre, St. Luke's Hospital, Mayo Clinic, and much more. The Jacksonville Landing and Riverwalk and its restaurants is around 8 km from the business hotel and guests will also find the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Coliseum and US Department of Immigration in the immediate vicinity. The beach is approximately a 10-minute drive from the hotel.

This is a family-owned hotel purchased in December 2006. The air-conditioned hotel underwent extensive renovations in 2009. It offers all the amenities one could hope for at reasonable rates. Facilities available to guests at the business hotel include a lobby with lift access, a breakfast room, conference facilities, a laundry service and a car park.

In-room amenities include a fridge, microwave, 25-inch TV (2 in the suites), a safe, pillow-top bed, pull-out couch (suites only), an ironing set, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. Each room additionally features an en suite bathroom (2 in suites) with massaging showerhead, a radio alarm clock, free local calls and wireless Internet access.

All guests have free access to Gold's Gym. There is a beautiful outdoor courtyard swimming pool with a sun terrace and the sandy beach is nearby.

A deluxe continental breakfast is served each morning (includes self-made waffles).

From the airport, take the I-95 south, exit 344 and then turn left at the end of the ramp and stay in the right-hand lane for 1/4 mile. Get in the left lane and follow the signs for Salisbury Road North. Take Salisbury Road north to the end and the hotel will be directly ahead.

Pets are welcome at the hotel at a charge of USD $15.00 per night, per pet. Rollaways are charged at USD $10 per night. The hotel offers free local calls and toll-free, long distance access. In-room safes can be hired for USD $1.50 per day.
