	Date of Stay: May, 2009
Check in at this hotel is 3pm, but we arrived early at 10pm because we wanted to go to Dorney Park. When we went to check in, the receptionist was very rude in saying that there were no unavailable rooms and there was nothing she could do until exactly 3pm.

The location. Nothing. Everyone was really nice. I enjoy every minute.

This hotel is horrible! Here is a list of everything that went wrong. 1. Key did not work when we arrived, put us in another room. 2. Pet fee of $25 that we were not aware of. 3. Dead bolt on our room door did not even lock! 4. Safe in our room was not bolted down and did not even work! 5. Toilet did not even flush! 6. Beds were very uncomfortable and you could feel the springs in it. 7. Refrigerator did not even get are drinks cold. 8. The supposed heated indoor pool was FREEZING! 9. The manager at the desk asked me to help jump start one of his co-workers cars and I used my car to do it and he could not even offer to wave the pet fee or anything! Not even a thank you from him. Im sure there was a lot of other things wrong with that building but just to let you know we will never stay there and I do not think anyone should ever stay there!

The Staff was fantastic and very helpful. The front desk played with my kids the time we were there. The maids were very professional and gave us everything we needed. Hotel had the best beds.. We wanted to sleep in every morning. The new Hot Breakfast was great since it was "FREE" ....Hotel had the only Indoor Pool across from Dorney Park. I recommend it.

Great location, comfortable beds, clean rooms. Terribly rude staff. Howard Johnson needs to increase the standards of it's screening process for hiring of new employees. The ones working at this location should be fired. I arrived at 2:59 and the counter woman wouldn't let us check in because we were "early" ( check in time is 3:00 ). We then waited until about 3:20 until the fat, rude hotel employee stopped talking to her friend on the phone.

the howard johnson at dorney park is not a very friendly place. the front desk personel was not friendly neither was the maintanece people. no one even smiled. i will not be using your hotel again next year. we left a few items in the room and when we wnt back after cheking out the night paaerson at the desk was very rude. i am in retail sales and if i acted the way she did i would have been fired. we were drying our wet clothes before checking out, when we returned to the dryer we found our clothes had been taken out of the dryer and they wer still wet. he proceeded to tell us that we had left our clothers in the dryer to long, but the clothes were still wet. he had a real bad attitude about the situation.

Close to Dorney, clean, had a pretty good breakfast. It did seem a little old, but it was clean and comfortable. The front desk clerk was very nice and provided us with directions to a movie theater. The breakfast in the morning was good, but there wasn't a lot of room to sit down and eat.

We were looking for a cost-conscious place to break up a long trip and picked the Allentown area as a good location. The staff was friendly and helpful, assuring us that a late arrival would be no problem. The room was comfortable and attractive. We had noted that the listing showed that they accepted pets, but upon learning that there would be a $25 fee for including a dog, our Labrador spent the mild evening out in the car where he is in more familiar surroundings and settles right down. The complimentary breakfast was a pleasant bonus, with a selection of cereals, bagels, (toaster) waffles or French toast, muffins, juice, and coffee. There are several tables in the lobby and it seemed as though nearly every guest was enjoying the option even though there is a popular local restaurant right next door with a large breakfast trade. The indoor pool and hot tub looked inviting and had long hours, but we hadn't really planned on it and neglected to pack swimsuits. If we use the hotel again on a similar trip, we would make the effort to be better equipped. The location is very convenient to I-81, a large amusement park, and a slightly confusing sprawling shopping center with a traffic pattern that makes it hard to get back to the entry driveway if you are in the wrong lane the first time by in the dark. Don't ask, just be in the right line.

This hotel has bed bugs i.e. they hide in the mattresses and come out when its dark. my 4 year old daughter got bit all over her body we had to take her to emergency. Front desk clerk was very ignorant. House Keeping incharge made jokes about our poor situation with other maids.If you love your family NEVER NEVER stay at the Howard Johnson Accross Dorney Park.

Rooms no so good! Put us in a room with a strong oder from wook in the bathroom. Could not use the bath tub due to this work. They move us to 3 different rooms in 2 hours. Staff does not have a clue on how to handle guests or even run a hotel. Never again, I'll stay down the road. There are plenty of options. Breakfast is okay at best. I guess what ever is on sale at Sams Club is what they put out for breakfast.

We loved our stay. The rooms were very upper scale and felt new. We noticed the new queen bedding, carpeting, and free breakfast. The pool was a blessing. Bring your family here because the staff is fantastic too. They sell cheap dorney tickets and have lots of places to eat right outside

The Howard Johnsons Inn and Suites was convenient to Dorney Park and I 78. IT was good value for the money. However the bathroom could use some updating. There was no vent and the door to the bathroom was warped. It had the standard two queen sized beds, vanity area separate from the bathroom, a sitting area with table and two chairs, tv remote etc. The breakfast was a little disappointing- cereal, bagels - with only cream cheese, butter. Nice touch was that they had whole, skim and low fat milk. Tea and coffer were also provided. However the juice machine gave a very watery mix.

The location was very convenient, there was a refrigerator in the room, there is a washer/dryer available. They are trying. The bed was very uncomfortable, the room was stuffy, funky remolding in the bath, the entire facility has lots of usage miles on it. It shows it wear, although you can tell ownership has been attempting to update, its just been on the cheap. For an economical traveler they offer some nice amenities such as in room refrigerators, coin op washer/dryer, pool (although I did not see it), continental breakfast (although I could not eat anything provided). The linens appeared clean, but many had black marks on them which I hope was grease from the dryer or something. The towels were small and thin.

I should have known, low price equals bad experiance. Stayed there for 3 nights. In the middle our stay, they came in the room during the day and refinished the bath tub which cause a horrible oder in the room, plus it could not be used for 24 hours! We were only move when I complained very loudly. First room had queen beds. Moved to a suite with double beds. New room had not toilet paper and no wash cloths also a view over looking the dumpsters! Rude staff that does not care about customer service once the have your credit card. Also when I received my express check out there was a note attacted which ofered me money to leave them a perfect review! They buy good reviews! The rooms are old, carpet stained, hallways dark, bad water pressure and the list just goes on.

Based on the recent ""glowing"" reviews posted about this hotel, we decided to stay here. What a MISTAKE! We should of known as soon as we pulled up this was not going to be pleasant. The rooms are dark, dingy and moldy smelling. We were so disgusted that we all covered the beds with our towels before sleeping. Would never recommend anyone to stay here, especially if you have children. This is not by any means a ""family friendly"" atmosphere hotel. Save your money and go somewhere else.
