The view was great; rooms were clean. Continental breakfast no OJ and coffee seemed watered down; towels in room were clean but not of very good quality.

Price was cheap and the view was wonderful. Unfortunately, the room was not very clean (dust/dirt in corners, dead bugs in bathroom light, bathroom ceiling peeling, tv didn't really work (everything was pink), breakfast was poor. The worst part was the noise and clientele - we checked in at 8 pm on a Friday evening - all was quiet. By 10 pm, the place was packed, the noise was terrible - and it got worse from there. There was screaming, laughing, yelling (from parking lot to 3rd floor). By 1am I heard someone yell that they were calling the police. I was traveling with two young children and did NOT feel safe in my room. In the morning there were 5 empty cases of beer at the foot of the stairs with empty cans scattered all around the property like leaves. Pay a little more and stay ANYWHERE else!!

Requested non-smoking rooms (booked 3 rooms) and every one of them smelled like smoke. Noise level was bad. Only one of the 3 rooms had a microwave. Continental breakfast only served 6-9, even on the weekends. Too bad, because the view is wonderful overlooking the valley.

Fairly new bathroom fixtures/flooring; Wi-fi connects automatically. Fridge did not work; no ashtrays in a smoking room; dial broken on heat unit. Good location just off interstate exit. Beautiful view of the city. The back side was somewhat isolated, better lighting for solo travelers would be great to help ease one's mind a bit.

If you don't mind being a few minutes drive from town (Roanoke) and a small amount of traffic noise from I-81, then this is a great place to stay. The first thing that caught my attention was the breath-taking view. The staff was very efficient and helpful. The room was spotless. A recently renovated hotel, if I am correct, but in my eyes, absolutely immaculate. The breakfast buffet was quite expansive, with a nice, large seating area where my husband and I enjoyed the view and reading the newspaper while we ate. I was so very impressed with this hotel. Great value for a great price! We will most definitely stay here again the next time we are in town.

Stayed here several times, each worse than the last. Typical dirty old hotel. Unhelpful, put-out desk staff. Dirty, worn out rooms. Loud guests... wholesale indifference of hotel staff. Stay somewhere else.

Good Location with great view. Wireless internet was bad. They had rooms available which had good wireless internet signal.

My room was a little dated but clean and the front desk staff was helpful. I only needed a short overnight and this hotel is convenient to the interstate and had a large breakfast spread starting at 6 am - perfect for an early morning start. Everything in my room worked and the shower was excellent. Check-in and check-out was fast and accurate. I might have just gotten lucky but for $ a night (last-minute rate) I was pretty happy with this hotel and I'll definitely stay here again if I need lodging in this area.

Musty odors & torn wallpaper. AC units, telephones & hair dryers that were inoperative. Rooms weren't cleaned, beds not made up for our 2nd night stay. Worst of all, desk staff was inattentive and didn't seem to care about any of the above issues.

It had internet. Rundown, hard to find. Management was rude. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! This was one of the worst experiences I have had at a hotel. The gentlemen at the front desk was rude, not well groomed, uninformative, unable to give directions for advents in local area. He was unfriendly!

very clean room stayed two nights great view of valley will go back on my next visit

The room was very clean. Even the bathroom vent and the surfaces above the vanity light - I checked. This room looks like it was upgraded recently. Short distance to the Interstate and no through streets nearby - quiet.

The view was spectacular. Easy access from I-81. The pool water was green! Except for the pool, which I desperately wanted to use, but didn't. Everything was fine.

Very disappointed. The rooms were nasty. I changed the first room assignment because it was filthy to move to another that smelled old and musky. There was mold/stains on the furniture. The experience was the worst. Never will I stay at this or any other location.

The beautiful hillside location. Great views from the front side of the hotel. Continental breakfast was pitiful. Front desk staff not concerned that I called ahead and was told I could have the King non-smoking room. This hotel is a dump! It is showing age very badly. The king bed was a piece of foam that left my body aching all over. Thread bare dingy towels in the bathroom. The front desk guy questioned me when I asked for extra towels for my husband and me. The towels he gave me were much nicer beige towels that were probably meant for the pool. Pool was closed! 1st floor on the backside of the hotel was having a block party. I reported it to the front desk and nothing was done about it. People were sitting outside on lawn chairs and the ground. Large beer boxes open on the sidewalk. I called the night before arrival to request a King non-smoking room. The person I spoke to said he made the reservation for it. I get there and the front desk guy says they have no non-smoking king rooms available. This is a three story hotel and it did not look like even 30 cars in the parking lot. I asked for my money back and then the front desk clerk found a non-smoking king room. Carpet smells moldy and looks filthy. The website advertised HBO and it on the channel card as channel 3. We did not have any HBO when we stayed there. The front desk did not answer the phone at 9:30 pm. After several calls, we walked down to get the extra towels and report the outdoor party going on. The next morning, the front desk was not answering again. Walked down to inquire about a late check out. They did grant it for one extra hour. The bed was so crappy that we tried to get some sleep again to no avail despite the late check out. Continental breakfast was not worth the trip downstairs. some OJ, milk, cereal in canisters that sat there all the time, a box of doughnuts, a basket of bagels, a tray of white bread/jellies, and coffee.

"Although the view at this hotel was spectacular, front desk staff and housekeeping were awful"

"This hotel is just fine! Reading these reviews, one would think this place is horrible. The hotel is fine -- the rooms are pleasant. The only thing which needs help is the front desk/staff."

"Not much to recommend - they lost my reservation, the room was in bad shape, the heater/a.c. unit didn't work and was falling out of the wall. Wall paper peeling everywhere. Room rate was no bargin, either."
