not bad for the price and if you clip a room saver coupon and walk in its even cheaper I think $69 fri or sat. Older furniture carpets but it seemed clean enough. wish they would make breakfast later. breakfast was ok for a free meal. they need real butter instead of margerine though

We booked at the Howard Johnson, not because they had the best rate, (It was not the best rate), but because they were supposed to have a small water park. So... we get to the room, which was 60's 70's decore and design, nothing special, open our curtains and we are looking at a brick wall. We then find out that the water park, for all practical purposes, two slides, is an additional $12.00 a person, otherwise you are stuck with a so so pool. Our two teenage boys 13 & 14 had no interest in the water park whatsoever. So... we should have booked the best deal in the area. Oh, the staff was busy working with other people when we got there... no problem there, but then ALL of the other people went out to their cars for close to 10 minutes and neither staff member would be willing to wait on us while their first customers were outside. Strange.

We stayed at the Howard Johnson Inn Resort with the Caribbean Indoor Waterpark. The property was very clean and the waterpark just fantastic for our children and us. The hotel is located on the main highway with all the outlet stores within a mile. We heard from the waterpark staff that right next to the waterpark they is a New Wingate by Wyndham opening Spring 2009. They will be doing waterpark packages also. On my last visit to New York City I stayed at a Wingate and it was very nice. On our next visit to Lancaster I will definately be trying out this new property. I know our kids can't wait till we go back in the Spring.

This is a nice clean hotel. The indoor waterpark was a lot of fun. The pool is nice. The breakfast was good. There is a Quiznos and Dominos right by the hotel. The staff was very friendly. My family had a great time.

The waterpark is perfect for the kids! The staff at the waterpark was so curtious and friendly. The hotel staff was very knowledgable and extremely nice! This hotel is convenient to everything, Amish buggy rides, shopping, Dutch Wonderland, places to eat, and mini golf! Had a great time. The hotel is a little dated, but was clean.

This Howard Johnson was very clean. The staff was friendly and the facility was very close to all the things we wanted to do (In the Heart of Amish Country). They had a Quiznos Sub, Dominos Pizza, Pho Cafe, and Dunkin Donuts. Also next door was a shopping center which was nice to walk around in the evenings. We really enjoyed our stay. Also they have a Caribbean Indoor Waterpark, which we took a look and looks like fun. We will bring our grand kids next time so that they can enjoy the waterpark.

We decided to take a trip closer to home due to the recent high gas prices. We stayed at this Howard Johnson Inn-Caribbean Indoor Waterpark Resort. I must say the hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. The hotel was close to the amish and the outlet shopping stores. They had a Quiznos Sub, Dominos Pizza, Pho Vietnamese Restaurant, and a New Dunkin Donuts. We did like the free internet computers that they had for the guest to use. This helped with getting information and checking on my email since the wife did not allow me to bring my computer for the vacation. The Waterpark Package LP1 was very affordable and included the deluxe continental breakfast with the hot pancakes! We will definately be back in the last summer before the kids head back to school.

Although the hotel was in a convenient location and was reasonably priced, it is dire need of updating/remodeling. The carpets in the hallways were in special need of replacing.

The water park was excellent. The carpet in the room was filthy and felt damp. Other than the cleanliness/condition of the room there were no other problems.

Upon pulling into the hotel we were shocked it was a Howard Johnson- It looked runned down. The food is not in the hotel- it is a small strip mall in-front. We checked into our room and went up. We were told it was a queen bed and pull out couch. The bed was a full size bed and the couch was the size of a twin bed. The room was dingy and dark and dirty, I went into the bathroom, saw roaches and immediately checked out. I have never, ever been in a hotel like that. I felt unsafe and dirty. We wound up checking into the another hotel down the road- which was BEAUTIFUL and a great deal for our money.

This was our 2nd trip to Lancaster this year and stayed at the Howard Johnson Inn-Caribbean Indoor Waterpark Resort. The waterpark was fabulous, the room was very clean, and the location was excellent. We were within minutes of the show we went to see. The hotel's waterpark was a great activity for the children the next morning. We had booked their LP1 Waterpark package with included the one night stay and 4 passes to the waterpark. It seems that everything looked new and clean smelling. We will now be staying at the Howard Johnson on all our future stays. I remember as a child my parents use to take us to the Hojo, it definately is a family hotel.

We decided to stay at this location do to it being close to the on and off ramp to the highway. We needed to be on a bus for a bus trip the next morning by 7 am so we needed something close by. The night we checked in we were very disappointed with the older looking rooms. However if you brought kids they had an indoor water park for them. We went to the outlet to pass time and ate out. Plenty of shopping and places to eat. No other problems except rooms were a big disappointment.

There was lots of parking by the doors. This hotel had an indoor pool and a for-fee water park. Everything had a heavy chlorine smell. While Howard Johnson's must have put money in this property putting the water park in, the chlorine smell was too much and I wondered if they put adequate ventilation in. In fact, even the water in the bathroom in my room smelled. The furniture in my room was much worn with holes in the sofa. The carpet in the halls and the room was dirty. There were splash marks of something on the headboard and the shower curtain and shower area were dirty. I would not stay here again.

This was our 2nd visit to Lancaster and this hotel. Our rooms were very clean, the Indoor Waterpark was fantastic. The food from the restaurants onsite delivered it to our table in the waterpark. Great service. The kids loved the waterpark !! This hotel was close to everything we wanted to do in Lancaster. My wife went shopping during the day to the many outlet stores nearby and I stayed with the kids in the 84 degree indoor waterpark all day. We will be staying at this hotel in the future.

Comfortable beds, Great breakfast, Awesome water park at great price. Lack of convenient parking. The Howard Johnson in Lancaster, PA is a great getaway for families. There included breakfast has many choices and their new water park makes it a fun place for a weekend getaway.

Don't be fooled the restuarants are not in in the hotel, they have plastic pinic tables upstairs, and vending machines. The menu's on the wall (old and incorrect) and phones directly under to call in an order. Domino's was a nightmare. Domino's does not really deliver to the water park area. We missed the continental breakfast, because we kept our 3 year old up until 10pm at the waterpark. Terrible service.

The room and bathroom were pretty clean. Everything was in working order. The beds were too firm and the pillows were flat. It was nice to have a mini-fridge in the room. The breakfast was good and the room with computer/internet access was nice. The location is great for the shopping outlets,but also not far from many Lancaster attractions. I had expected kids because of the water park inside. I just didn't expect to hear them in the pool from my room down the hall. I would just suggest getting a room higher than 120 to be away from the pool noise. All in all, it was a good deal and an adequate stay for 2 nights.
