The staff and hotel was great the only thing That I would have liked to see were some chairs and tables out side so you can sit out and relax and enjoy the outdoors, rather than having to stay in the room after the days outing.

When we arrived at 1:00am the staff on duty did not say a single word as we checked in. The hotel was very small and cramped. The staff was unfriendly at best, save one woman who ran the front desk one night. The rooms were excruciatingly hot and the continental breakfast was almost non-existent. Signs explaining check-in/check-out were simply taped to the wall. The room keys rarely functioned properly, and quite frankly it was the worse experience I've had in a hotel in a very long time.

Upon check in the counter person was friendly, the room it was fairly clean, could use a scub down though. The bed was ok, pillows flat, the comforter was awfully stained, the chain lock was broken. On the second night we found a cockeroach in the room. They switched rooms with out a problem but were very reluctant to reduce the price paid for the room. They wanted to give 10% off what they were paid by travel website; maybe $10. I insisted on a 50% refund. I go to the hershey area a least once a year, first time at the hojo, it had a reputable name, I will never stay here again!!

The service changes depending on who is at the front desk. Some are very nice and helpful, others act like you are bothering them and unhelpful. When I asked for a map of the area-- I was told to look around the corner at the rack of pamphlets- I didin't find a map and got lost driving. I asked for a wake up call for both mornings and never recieved one- but the alarm clocks in the room worked well. I asked for a late check out and was accomodated by a very nice employee. Additional towels were no problem. The hotel was clean, beds fine, the shower was great. The air conditioner was working well. The breakfast was just passible. I wouldn't stay here again because there are many other newer Inns and hotels in the area.

This hotel is small and very quiet. It is set back from the road with a big field around it. It is also very close to all Hershey attractions. The only bad thing is that it didnt have tubs which is what my kids need but it did have HUGE showers!!

when we got there and tried to check in with the paid online company confirmation they fought with me that it was never paid so when i handed over my card i called the online company which was great they were on the phone right away straighted it all out .....but guess what i still i charged for 2 days by them.. so i paid twice for a place not worth paying once for. woman behind the desk in the morning was rude and nasty when i asked for a receipt wouldn't give me one. sheets were clean but dingy & old. window had no screen on it. the place was ok but needed a good scrubbing.

The fam and I had 2 rooms for a long weekend at Hershey Park. The rooms were ok, nothing special. For the most part they were clean. The breakfast was pretty good, a half a step above your average continental. Problem is that there is hardly enough seating. Only 2 small tables and a bar with only 3 stools. The parking lot is a pain in the #^% to get into when you are coming in from 81 south you have to pass it, pull into another parking lot and turn around, also you have to cut through a gas station when pulling out of there to go left towards Hershey. Other than that, its a bed and a shower. Nothing special. Good value for the . If you or your spouse or anyone in your party is the slightest bit "High Maintenance" you will not be happy. But for the most part, it works....

The Howard Johnson's in Hershey was absolutely disgusting. We only spent less than an hour there before checking out paying for a room across the street. It was dirty, water leaking in the window of the room and in the lobby. There were countless spiders and ants in our room and dead bugs all over the floor in the so-called fitness room which was just an unused hotel room with 3 old pieces of equipment in it. There was mold in the fridge, filthy microwave, beds smelled like urine, floor was filthy. Worst hotel I have ever had the displeasure of entering. Not to mention the manager was a complete jerk. He was sitting on the couch in the lobby smoking in a nonsmoking hotel and playing on his computer and didn't seem concerned at all about the water leaking all over. When we did check out, the manager was gone, and the girls behind the desk could barely speak English and they tried charging us for the 3 previous nights saying my husband was some ohter man that had been staying in that room! Unbelieveable! Because of this hotel, we had to come home early. It completely ruined our vacation. They more or less robbed us of our money and treated us like dirt. Never ever go to this hotel.

Very close to Hershey Park, but not in the crazy zone and only 2 turns away. Security cameras weren't functioning and the deadbolt on the door came off in your hands. Not a lot of extras, but clean and functional. Continental Breakfast included hot items as well. Staff was friendly and for the most part helpful. Great access to Hershey Park, only two turns and four miles, with great prices as well. Right off the freeway exit, very convenient. Wouldn't mind staying there again.

I was very please with the Howard Johnsons. I feel we got more than our moneys worth. The room was clean and I was impressed that the room had an iron, ironing board, safe, frig and microwave oven. We took advantage of the safe and frig. The front desk staff were very helpful. The continental breakfast had more variety than expected. The hotel was conveniently located near gas stations, convenience stores, grocery store and 6 miles from Hershey Park.

Provided good free internet/television service and good facilities for simple means. It was not kept as clean as I expected based on the ratings and poor help/service. It was decent looking but I did notice it had bad appeal from first sight due to the odd location squeezed between a gas station and a large truck stop area. The grounds were nice but not well maintained and needed cleaning. Inside was decent looking but it was not as clean as I expected and I found ants in my room. The help did not seem to enjoy their experience there or the time they spent in this country based on my brief conversations with the staff. Additionally, it did offer a nice continental breakfast but unfortunately all of the trash cans were overflowing.

Room price less than your listed price. Shower only in bathroom. Room was nice, clean; located near interstate; driveway entrance to hotel to close to exit ramp, had to go past and turn around; could only make right turn out of driveway, had to u-turn or go in direction we wanted to go; continental breakfast was till 9:00am. Desk clerk had cleared the breakfast items before 8:45am. Ate breakfast at buffet (truck stop).

Convenience. The staff. This hotel was ok for a one-niter bed need, but not somewhere to stay for a longer-term vacation. First of all, the staff was terrible! When I checked in the desk clerk was on her cell phone and never actually spoke to my husband or I except to mumble
