This Gatlinburg hotel is just a block from the center of the city, and is less than one mile from the Hollywood Wax Museum. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is just a mile from the Howard Johnson Inn Gatlinburg. The Mysterious Mansion of Gatlinburg is a half mile away, and is a turn-of-the-century haunted house.

Great location, friendly staff, no smoking, no pets. The pool did not have water in it. We really wanted to swim. Great hotel for the money, friendly staff, good food in the restaurant on the property. Wood recommend to family and friends. The jacuzzi was nice.

I stayed with my 9 year old son for 2 nights. It was ok, met our needs. It was kind of loud due to the heavy car traffic in the evening. It is a great location, and easy to get to. It was convenient to have the restaurant on site also.

The room was small, filthy and the curtains were broken. The front of the a/c was falling off and propped up by a broken table. All bathroom hardware was loose. No exhaust fan. There WAS a hole in the wall with a grill over it that did NOT cover the mildewed crud hanging inside. The pool was dirty. Algea growing in and around every surface. The website said Fun Mountain (next door)was ""The only theme park in Gatlinburg"". It had been closed for 2 years. We had reservations for 2 nights, but checked out after one. NEVER STAY HERE!

First we were given a room that someone was already staying in. After a walk down the hill.....we were given another room.....but the key did not work. Decided to go out on the town and while we were gone, my shirt was stolen from the room. No thanks!

The Howard Johnson in Gatlinburg was very nice with a small indoor pool for the little ones. My only worry was that it was quite small and the boys wanted to jump in and they could almost go to the opposite side. Walking to downtown was very conveinient.

The roomhad perfect design for use and space. Located in the perfect spot for the strip. My expectations were met and then some for the Howard Johnson. The location on the strip was perfect at the end, walk down one side of the strip then right back on the other side. The bathroom was very nice with its little extras. I will stay there again

The fireplace in the room. The hotel ran out of wood for the fire place. The hotel is located in a centralized location to most attractions in Gatlinburg. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous and the room was very clean and well maintained.

Howard Johnson Inn Gatlinburg TN, Gatlinburg, Tennessee First off the hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating, however I had many issues with this hotel. The first room we were checked into had alot of needed work, the base boards were pulled off and the walls were nasty. I went into the bathroom and there was about the size of an inch blood smeared on the wall. I then found a pair of dirty underwear that did not belong to myself or anyone with me when we first arrived to the room. Thankfully the hotel staff did have 2 suites available and let us choose which one we preferred to move to since I did complain about the issues listed above. I went to the pool and the floor of the pool was dirty and discolored. The hot tub was also out of service the 2 days we stayed. This hotel needs alot of work and I am still completely disgusted that I found a dirty pair of underwear and blood on the wall when first arriving to the room. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you absolutely do not have any other options.

The room was big and and the beds were very nice. We had the room with the fireplace it would had been nice if it had a sofa to set on to look at the fireplace. We enjoyed the motel and had a great time

Staff was very friendly and room is in great location. Pool was so great. Even at the end of Aug it was still so cold but was just what we needed. Didnt stay in room much but it perfect for the purpose. Bed was very comfortable. Room actually cost less than what we expected

It was very clean. It was very clean although further away from the attractions that we desired. All the employees were friendly and helpful.

Howard Johnson was very comfortable, but the room was smaller than expected when traveling with a 2yr old and a nine yr old. Downtown Galtlinburg was in walking distance so we saved on a lot of gas. The dining facility was great. We really got our monies worth.

The view and location were okay, it was at the beginning of the strip of Gatlinburg, and we didn't mind walking. I wish the check out time was a little later, and the parking was difficult. It was quite and clean, we had a nice view of the city Gatlinburg.

Just a small walk to the heart of downtown Gatlinburg. There is no where free to park there so it was very convenient being able to walk. The bathroom is extremly small. It was pleasant. Not the greatest hotel but a nice on or two night stay. Best advantage is the short walk to downtown. Bed was nice. Bathroom was very small.

Location was perfect; you are in the middle of the shopping district in Gatlinburg. It needs updated pretty bad as most hotels in Gatlinburg do. Location is great, but the place needs to be updated.

Nothing. Cheap furnishings, dirty, room smelled bad! The hotel has had a cheap remodel. It smelled bad and would not stay here!
