I have completely lost my trust in Orbitz. I feel used and abused to have allowed you to trap me into paying before knowing which hotel chain I was being placed in. Your site showed it as a 3 star rated hotel, but after getting my money you then showed it as a 2 star hotel. This was a dump with the only other patrons, basically being truckers.

Close to conference I was attending. Tattered rooms, poor assistance with directions, by phone and at the desk. Non-smoking room had scent of a 'masking' spray. The ads do not fit the hotel. Table surfaces, and phone book were sticky to the touch; cigarette burned counter & bedspread, long overdue for replacement. Unit needs deep cleaning! Another woman traveling alone was wakened at 2am by smoke alarms in her room--after a half hour, it was turned off--as faulty! Price was right, but prefers cleanliness!

For you folks contemplating a stay at this Howard Johnson, beware. The room I stayed in had a lot of deferred maintenance. Juice bar was out of commission my visit to the complementary breakfast and that set the tenor for the rest of my visit. Another traveler I met the following morning at breakfast complained about all the noise as a result of people coming into a unit around three in the morning to take showers! Your choice but I would look else where!

I was overall satisfied with the room. My only complaint is that the toilet would not flush. Maintenance did correct the problem, however it still did not flush even after they supposedly corrected the problem.

The rooms were clean. Someone made an effort to arrange the towels in the shape of a bird, which was a nice touch. The toilet paper was the cheapest I have ever experienced...probably a cost savings effort. The staff was helpful and pleasant. There is one issue that plagued me. I was in a non-smoking room. In the middle of the night, cigarette smoke was in the room. I suspect smokers huddle under a protective overhang and their smoke gets sucked into the ventilation system .

The howard johnson is a great place to stay. The rates are good, the hotel rooms are clean and updated! They have great tv channels Hbo,TWC,ESPN. The staff is friendly, every day the housekeepers do a amazing job cleaning the rooms. Overall this place is a great value. Price and room quality are good. Highly Reccomended

I appreciated the complimentary breakfast. The hotel was unpretentious, and was very suitable for a short stay for a traveller. I am likely to stay here again. Dont expect much more than a place to sleep. For that it was perfectly suitable.

I was convenient to downtown Tacoma. I was a no-smoking room that smelled like it didn't used to be. Though nothing to look at in an industrial section of the area, the hotel's access to the freeway and convenient access to downtown Tacoma make it a practical choice.

When I came in I thought it was a good deal, the hotel seemed decent. But it wasn't long before I realized how wrong I was. The room smelled awful, and there was mold in some corners of the bathroom. When I opened my room door to let the smell out, there was a guy coming towards my door (seemed to be on drugs or something) I quickly closed my door, and got out of there as fast as I could. I would'nt recommend a stay at this hotel, especially not for lonely travellers, married couple, teenagers, and elderly. There are many hotels on the street don't mind their prices, you'll get a better deal!

Nice room with a fridge and microwave The motel was nice and clean. It is out of the way, but close to I-5. The motel is used frequently by Navy personel who were always friendly and respectful toward other guests and staff. I would have no objections about taking my family to this motel or recomending it to friends.

Everytime I come into Washington for business or pleasure I stay at the Howard Johnson. They Offer a great breakfast now with sausage and eggs! They also have fresh cookies in the evening.The staff is extremely friendly, and the housekeeping did a great job. I recommend this hotel to all my friencs and family! Its a Great Value too! The room has a microwave, fridge,coffee pot and iron! How great is that?

The location was very convenient to get to & from where I was going. In a nutshell, the room was clean & quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The Continental breakfast was everything one would expect & the staff was pleasant & helpful.

This ram had fridge & micro expected only coffee maker great place to stay, casino (mostly table games) across street, (ICQ just a short drive away which we liked better)
